12/09/2025: Stopped in our first full day in Padua. Service was very friendly and willing to answer questions. We weren't super hungry so we just had salads and a lasagna. Greens were fresh and the basalmic was perfect! The place doesn't look like much from the outside but worth a stop!

Mr. Antonio and his magnificent staff assisted us from the first meeting, from choosing and tasting the menu, to the wedding day. They made our celebration an unforgettable day. All our guests complimented us on the quality of the food; everything was perfect, nothing was missing. His staff was always ready to fulfill our every request; they were helpful, friendly, and kind. They made us feel truly at ease. If we organize another party, we definitely wouldn't hesitate to contact them again. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for the excellent work they did... 12/10/2025: Sunday lunch with friends. A classic Euganean Hills restaurant, excellent service and food. I recommend the tartare on a bed of gorgonzola and pistachios and the bigoli with duck. Both dishes are delicious! The desserts are also very good and plentiful. The impeccable service helped make the experience a complete success.

16/08/2025: A hidden, rather rough-hewn, homey place, mysterious and, just as the name suggests, a refuge/refreshment haven. The selection of dishes is refined and convincing, and the prices are average. The deep-dish pizza is good, with soft dough and excellent ingredients. The sandwiches are also good, juicy and packed with ingredients. The prices listed already include a cover charge (which is free), and the prices for drinks (canned, not on tap) are fair. The only downside is the amount of fries you can add for €2.50 per sandwich, which doesn't reflect the price paid because they're so few. It's better to order them separately as a single portion (as we did). A real shame, because since they're paid separately (and quite a bit), it would be nice to see more on the plate. That said, I'd definitely return for their pizza.

13/10/2025: The restaurant is pleasant and atmospheric, like most in central Florence, but the food isn't up to par. Hungry, we ordered spaghetti vongole and cotoletta with fries. I've never seen this before; the shells in the pasta were already removed, which loses their freshness because they should open during cooking, which caused the pasta to reek of fish. The cutlet was dry and had little meat; most of it was breaded, and the fries were minimal. The 4-cheese pizza, ordered for takeout, was below average; the cheeses were undetectable except for the Gorgonzzola. The staff put a lot of effort into maintaining the atmosphere (a cheerful kitchen atmosphere) and their service was impeccable, but the meals were neither prepared with high-quality ingredients nor were they delicious. I wouldn't recommend it because it might alienate you from Italian cuisine.

12/10/2025: The food was good, the service was prompt, the staff were friendly, the menu varied, the space spacious, and the price was truly reasonable, if not cheap. It was a perfect business lunch. Then, when the restaurant closed, they let us use the outdoor space to hold our meeting. Highly recommended.

30/09/2025: Nice atmosphere, noisy when crowded, limited choice of pizzas but good, famous for swordfish (I have yet to try it) in summer you can sit under the large porch.
