08/08/2025: Hotel: Rooms too noisy due to a club across the street that hosts late-night karaoke nights, 15 meters away (we had to wait until the evening was over to sleep). Breakfast consisted of dry cakes, coffee capsules, and limited savory options. Restaurant: We booked the restaurant because the location is nice; we had high expectations, but that wasn't the case. The basics of catering are lacking (no comment).

06/08/2025: Mediocre hotel. Cleanliness needs updating, spiders in the corners near the bed. Let's talk about the restaurant. There are four of us (two couples) and we ordered two Florentine steaks, some vegetables to accompany the meat, and a bottle of wine. We waited for the meat to be cooked, and only one was served. When we asked where the other Florentine steak was, we were told we couldn't eat 2800 kg of meat. When we asked for salt, we were told it was bad for us. The vegetables were very few and tasteless! Absurd! We were all shocked! At this point, don't order, since the decisions about what to eat and how much to eat are yours to make! Absolutely avoid this place. Real dining is really far away.

20/08/2025: Poor value for money. You eat little and spend a lot, plus the meals are anything but typical.

19/08/2025: Nice and clean place, but the food wasn't great. We went for dinner; we were told there was a set menu, but there was no option to choose anything. Four courses were pre-determined, two of which were inedible and terrible. We left feeling really disappointed.

01/12/2025: Superb experience! Thanks to the skill of manager Beatrice! The manager in the black shirt was also very good.

19/10/2025: Let me start by saying that this is my first review, and the experience was so negative that I feel almost compelled to write it to prevent others from encountering a place like this. Returning from a weekend getaway with my partner, we noticed this hotel bar/restaurant. The first negative sign, besides the dated and gloomy appearance, was that we spent over five minutes looking for someone to talk to before a very, and ONLY, professional young waiter came to meet us. Once seated, we witnessed a very unpleasant scene at a table where the owner of the business was sitting with her family. She was having a heated argument with her guests and, to top it all off, she repeatedly became rude to her dining room manager. The latter seemed to be in the clouds, causing slow service and causing her colleagues to shoulder all the diners. Long waits for a menu and to order (they kept passing by our table without even looking at us). We ordered an appetizer (grilled goat cheese), a main course (salami), and a first course (mushroom ravioli). Super-easy and quick dishes, for which we had to wait AN HOUR, without even an apology for the delay, which wasn't communicated when we were welcomed; we actually had to ask for it. The dishes, except for the appetizer, were tasteless and lacking in both aesthetics and quantity. When it came time for the bill, we expected at least an apology for the slow and disappointing service, or the usual polite question, "Is everything okay?", but before we even approached, the hostess presented us with the bill without even a thank you.

09/10/2025: The hotel is well located at the beginning of the pass road, and our room on the upper floor at the back was pleasantly quiet. We weren't satisfied with the service: it took several requests before someone took care of warming up the room, and especially the bathroom. We found it unspeakable that our credit card details and all our ID cards, including all signatures, were stored in the hotel's system, giving us no recourse against unauthorized charges. We were unable to obtain any insight from the staff. We won't book this hotel again.

09/08/2025: The bar was closed yesterday! It's probably closed all summer, but it says open on Google! Is it that hard to correctly list closing days on Google? ..if only out of a modicum of respect for tourists/customers...

20/03/2025: Visited while in ski holiday , 2 adults & 3 kids. Realised we had been here 3 years ago when we last visited La thuile. They’ve renovated the dining room a lot so it’s really nice looking. Way more modern in style. Staff are so friendly. Wine list is good value. Food is very simple. Lots of pizzas which are good. Lamb chops are nice, 5 chops. Tagliata is nice too, but rocket was very limp. Sirloin steak good too. Overall meat dishes are nice, not amazing but that’s ok. Tiramisu was superb

08/03/2025: We noticed really quickly after we arrived to La Thuile that you need a reserveration. But the host offered us really quickly a take away alternative which we thought was a great suggestion. So 4 !!!! minutes wait - not more - not less - and we walked away with our very tasty veggie pizza. Great alternative!

07/07/2025: Sunday morning coffee stop during bike ride. Terrible coffee, dirty location, outdoor seating not suitable for hospitality, nails were sticking out of the pieces of wood that if you weren't careful you risked hurting yourself. The outdoor cushions in bad condition, signs of the evening just passed, still full ashtrays on the bin, the waitress leaves us the tray with 6 cups of coffee ordered, decidedly dirty tray probably used from the previous evening. Conclusion: failed.

18/06/2025: Potentially a 5-star venue, but with a chameleon-like soul. In 90% of cases the experience is excellent: generous aperitifs, pleasant atmosphere, friendly bartenders and a lively environment. In those moments it is truly a pleasure to stop. Then there are the other evenings. Those in which, due to some mysterious cosmic alignment - lunar phases, relative humidity or simply the wrong shifts - you find yourself catapulted into the social bar of the veterans' cooperative: two half-hearted chips, three taralli in a row and a service that makes every order seem like a personal inconvenience. The service? Variable. Like the tone of the person serving you, halfway between tolerance and "what the f...... are you doing here?". The advice? Before sitting down, peek behind the counter. If you recognize the right faces, sit down and enjoy the evening. If, on the other hand, the counter reminds you of a post-war set, pretend to look for the library and keep going. You'll figure out for yourself whether it's a night for drinks or if it's better to head straight to some dive for pensioners playing cards.

20/07/2025: Baita molto carina, con una bellissima vista sulle montagne, ma scomoda da raggiungere per via di un tratto di strada sterrato dove pascolano le mucche (lasciando escrementi nel parcheggio). Cibo buono, ma prezzi elevati. Abbiamo preso una raclette per due, buona, ma ci aspettavamo delle porzioni più abbondanti per il prezzo pagato (27 euro a persona per quattro pezzetti di formaggio ciascuno accompagnati da verdure grigliate, pochi sottaceti e mocetta). Apprezzato il gesto di offrire l'amaro a fine pasto.

27/04/2025: Siamo stati nell'ultimo fine settimana della stagione invernale, a ridosso della chiusura degli impianti, infatti non tutto il menù era disponibile, tuttavia la qualità dei piatti disponibili è stata indubbiamente ottima. Personale molto accogliente e gentile, camera piccola, comunque confortevole, bagno grande e comodo con il doppio lavandino. Posizione strategica, panorama davvero incantevole a 360 grandi, vista sul Cervino mozzafiato. Decisamente consigliato.

08/06/2025: TO AVOID It is true that getting the raw materials here is expensive, but the quality ratio is terrible. Single dish (see photo) and unique in every sense because there was no other choice, 25 euros: decent stew, reheated polenta in blocks, reheated mushrooms, all in the microwave and even lukewarm. Two single dishes, 1/4 of wine on tap, 1 coffee 59 euros. Very poor cleanliness and hygiene, unkempt place, we ate outside where nothing was taken care of. The lady who served us was not at all helpful, she is surely aware of the fact that in such a hidden place you end up once and that's it and then it's the only place...... shame though that she doesn't take into account the bad publicity that can be given to it. In conclusion BETTER A SACKED SANDWICH!

01/06/2025: I don't understand who says high prices; you are in the middle of nowhere so you have to calculate that carrying on the activities in these places can be expensive... and you by consuming you keep these small village activities going. Anyway we had a snack with 1 hot chocolate, a plate of delicious homemade biscuits, 2 genepy, 1 coffee 12 euros.

23/11/2025: Went yesterday for a drink. The food was average, the service mediocre. I chose two items from the menu at 6:00 PM and was told the cafeteria was closed. Don't present a menu with items a customer can't consume, or at least if you serve tables, let them know in advance or write it on the menu. The outside area was cold and the city was semi-deserted.

01/11/2025: Extremely expensive!!! 1 small toast €8.00 25cl bottle of water €3.50 Despite the exorbitant prices, the service is lacking. While we were sitting, a man kept rearranging cushions, climbing on chairs to adjust lamps, moving tables, etc. We absolutely won't be back!

22/10/2025: Located right at the entrance to the little road leading to Fenis Castle, we enjoyed an excellent coffee from a local roaster, served with professionalism and kindness by the young woman at the counter.

12/10/2025: Terrible experience, the waitresses didn't even say hello when we entered and didn't even pay us any attention. We asked if we could sit down and received no answer, then we sat down at a table and were told "no that one". Kudos to you for your kindness, truly terrible experience.

21/08/2025: Excellent meat, very welcoming and well-decorated atmosphere. Decent wine list, average prices for Cormaiore.
