27/05/2025: Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at Stella de la Versilia. Highlights included a quiet location surrounded by umbrella pines, two parking lots, a large, pleasant grounds to explore, clean and well-equipped rooms, easy access to the Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca, and Siena, a high-quality breakfast buffet, very friendly staff at the restaurant and at breakfast, helpful and friendly housekeepers, a smart TV that didn't spoil anything, and the respect for my disability-related accommodations (walk-in shower). The Olivo restaurant is also very pleasant, despite the limited vegetarian options, which are not unique to it but rather typical of the region between land and sea. The quantities and quality are there, and the service is impeccable. The only difficulties: the lack of air conditioning, which was mentioned as being activated on the hotel's pages but wasn't. It was supposed to be turned on on May 1st, we were told, but never was, despite the 26°C in the rooms, which was hard to bear for Northern Europeans. And then, yes, a pool open all year round is nice, but if it's heated, that's even better... We were disappointed by the lack of opportunity to relax in it between our many visits. Too bad. However, regarding the paid water in the room mentioned in another comment, the person concerned is probably referring to the water in the "mini bar" fridge, which is charged as in all hotels (except for the welcome tray, which here provides tea and coffee), and not running water, which is absolutely not included in the charge. In short, we've made do with a few inconveniences and always keep a fan in our trunk when we travel to avoid disappointments. It would be fair to mention that 1) the pool is not heated, 2) the air conditioning is only active at certain times of the year and not based on the actual temperature or constantly, as was supposed to be the case. Regarding the location, I removed one star because, although I really appreciated the peace and quiet, Massa and Ronchi are a little empty at this time of year, while Camaiore and Viareggio are more welcoming despite the low season. However, this hotel remains well located in relation to the sea and the baths, as well as to the main roads and shops. I therefore recommend this hotel but suggest that it provide some clarification on its pages.

20/05/2025: The place is incredible because it belongs to Gigi Buffon's family, and the entire lobby and restaurant are decorated with top soccer players' attire. I really liked the quality of the restaurant's dinner, the staff's service, and the breakfast buffet. Regarding the room, I only want to note that the air conditioning is not controllable and it was a bit warm. Otherwise, it's very good. Excellent 4 stars.

03/06/2025: We happened to be here this weekend of June 2nd, on the suggestion of "Momi", in this small and characteristic place. We ate and drank divinely. The waiter, a very nice and very prepared person, made us feel at ease immediately. "Simple" but well-prepared and very good food. The tagliolini with mushrooms are amazing... Excellent summer terrace with a view of the valley. We hope to return one day....

27/05/2025: Una cena fantastica in un'atmosfera di tranquillità, accoglienza e cura. Dall'antipasto , un tagliere di affettati e fritti particolarmente gustosi, alla carta dei vini. Noi abbiamo preso direttamente il secondo di carne, costarelle di agnello e brasato, di alta qualità, presentazione accurata, gusto; ottimi anche i dolci. Il personale ti accompagna, consiglia e ti fa sentire a casa. il prezzo è adeguato alla qualità delle portate.

25/05/2025: We went to eat at this restaurant because my partner had already been there a long time ago and had a great time. What can I say... A place full of love. Welcoming and familiar atmosphere, kind staff starting from Letizia, Matteo and Maria, always attentive to every little detail... truly excellent cuisine and I compliment Francesco, Luciana and Denise. We tasted everything from the appetizer to the first course, second course and side dish.. and since we had the birthday boy at the table with us (my partner) the very kind Mrs. Antonella, with the help of her magnificent team created a dessert on the spot with a candle. Truly a beautiful experience!!!. This place deserves to be visited not only for its excellent cuisine, but above all for the love that is behind every single thing, and above all I recommend getting to know the wonderful staff that is part of it. We ordered the tartare and the sirloin, excellent meat and very successful preparation. We are left looking forward to the next visit... Well done Hourglass and well done Emiliano.

The service is truly impeccable and the staff is very kind and helpful. You also spend little for the quality offered, if you are in Amelia it is absolutely worth trying.

The Easter menu booked on the menu has undergone some significant changes, with respect to the wine, the side dishes and the vegetarian menu. We ate the two first courses on the same plate as well as the two second courses. Lamb not tasty but salty... too bad. The service was really nice, done by very young and proactive guys

02/06/2025: Sono andato a mezzogiorno di oggi 2 giugno in questo posto perchè avevo visto molti giudizi positivi. In realtà ha valutazioni esagerate. Ho preso un primo (amatriciana) molto buono, un secondo (salsiccia) discreto, un tiramisù che non sapeva di niente. La cosa che mi ha colpito in negativo è il vino della casa. Per 1/4 di vino della casa (il cui prezzo non era presente nel menù) ho pagato 6 euro!!! E il vino era pessimo.......era chiaramente un vino scadentissimo da supermercato.
