12/04/2026: April 12, 2026. First Communion. Beautiful setting. Excellent food. Special atmosphere. We had a really good time and the food was truly excellent.

15/04/2026: Amazing food! They have a fixed menu at times, where they make typical regional food. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We tried 4 different dishes and all were wonderful!

29/03/2026: Just come back from this wondeful place. The most amazing views from the bedrooms windows and all the common areas. We had half board and the food was amazing. Four course dinner and great choices for breakfast. We were there in the last opening week of the hotel but from the service all round you would not have been able to tell. The hotel offer a shuttle service which pick you up and drops you to whereever you need to go around the place, whether for skiing or anything else. Super fast and efficient you just call and they are there within minutes. In general all the staff from the restaurant, reception to the spa are super nice and accomodating. Family run with a personal touch. Will definitly come again!

04/03/2026: We've been going to the Hermitgae as a family for many years and it's one of my favourite hotels. Why? It's family run, big enough to have everything you need including a not huge, but swimmable decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna with stunning views. Rooms are good and service excellent and there is a friendly minibus to take you into town or the lifts always available Most people go half board - the breakfast is excellent with delicious fresh breads, home baked patisserie, hams, salamis and mountain cheeses along woth perfectly cooked eggs to order, pancakes etc, yoghurts, fresh juices - only complaint is they could do with a decent museli, but you can order properly made porrage - and the coffee, top, along with teas. The dinner this year was the best we have had, strating with a grilled veg and salad buffet with hams, smoked salmon and cold roast beef, then choices of pasta/soup course, brilliant main course and stunning desserts - they also do excellent home-made tea time pastries included Madonna itself is medium-sized, low built resort full of, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some very good cafes and shops - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good with some v demanding blacks and excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view and as long as you are not into glitzy 6* spiv hotels, Bio Hermitage is the best you can get!

23/09/2025: I arrived after eight hours of walking, with three more ahead of me. I had already finished my two liters of water. The refuge was about to close (in 10-15 minutes), there were no customers, and I asked if there was a fountain to refill water, but there wasn't one. I then asked if it was possible to fill it at the tap and that I would even pay for it, but no: it wasn't possible and the only solution was to buy a plastic bottle. A girl (a friend of theirs?) started laughing and, mocking me, convinced them to let me fill my water bottle because otherwise "I could die of dehydration." They filled it for me from the tap. Half.

07/04/2026: Very characteristic place, the food is very good and typical (you absolutely have to try the canederli in broth!...The pizza is also very good...the place has seating at the counter and in a beautiful garden with a playground.

26/08/2025: Always a guarantee, there's no better gelato in all of Pinzolo. Excellent location, right in the center, and the girls at the counter are extremely friendly.

02/06/2026: Terrible pizza. The dough is sticky and silicone-like. Even heating it on the griddle doesn't make the dough stick. The toppings, ingredients, and fillings are very cheap. Went there because it's one of the few open on Sundays. A place suitable for group pizza parties because the atmosphere is like a cafeteria.

02/06/2026: We ordered five pizzas. The service was fast, but the prices were sky-high, with really cheap toppings and almost raw pizzas. Overall, a terrible experience. I don't think I'll go back unless I want a calzone or something other than pizza. And they weren't even under much pressure; they only had a few tables occupied, but I ordered takeout. As I said, I don't think I'll go back.

02/06/2026: We stayed for one night. The hotel has potential but isn't fully utilized. The rooms are clean and basic (no amenities like a kettle, mini fridge, etc.) We tried using the smart TV, but ended up watching a movie on our phone. Let's just say that after a day of hiking and wanting to relax with a movie, it would be nice if everything was working properly. There's a sauna available for €20 upon reservation. Basic sweet/savory breakfast. The receptionist never smiled, not even by mistake. Let's just say there's room for improvement.

25/01/2026: A day in the mountains to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The staff was always super professional, kind, and friendly. The food was excellent. The place was spotlessly clean throughout.
