They're about a 15-minute ride down the Cune cable car. The staff is very helpful and courteous. They let us refill our water bottles, so we returned for lunch/snack.

We stopped at the Luisia Refuge during a hike, without stopping for lunch, so this is simply a first impression of the facility. The environment immediately struck us positively: everything appears well-kept, tidy, and well-maintained. Even the bathrooms were clean, which is far from a given in a mountain refuge with such a high traffic volume. The entrance, where minerals and fossils are displayed, is also very beautiful. We really appreciated this detail, which makes the refuge stand out from the crowd, especially for those visiting the area with curious children. The terrace offers a splendid view, and the atmosphere truly invites you to linger. Looking at the tables and the dessert counter, we were left with the feeling that this place has been carefully crafted, even in terms of its food: the cakes looked truly inviting, and we promised ourselves we'd return to try them at our leisure. Sometimes a good first impression is already a great calling card, and this refuge left us with just that feeling.

One of the most beautiful rifugios I've encountered in the last 11 years of my Alpine crossing tours. Very comfortable and cozy, with lovely rooms. I'd especially like to highlight the delicious and plentiful dinner prepared by the friendly owner. This was my third stay at Rifugio Lusia during my tours, and I highly recommend it. Thank you, Hansi

Great experience...we went for dinner on a Saturday evening, accompanied there by snowmobile, a cabin immersed in the woods next to the ski slopes, beautiful atmosphere and the food is quite good at the right price!

We stopped for lunch after dinner after skiing in the Bellamonte - Alpe Lusia area. The food was traditional, well-prepared, and plentiful.

Typical mountain refuge .... here it's serious .... few fuss ..... we ate well and spent the right amount ...... considering the natural logistical difficulties especially in winter with snow ..... and at the end of the meal there was also a good qualitative and quantitative choice of grappa .... furthermore there are rooms available to sleep at high altitude both in winter and in summer at an absolutely reasonable price .... the only problem could be availability .... . you need to book in advance

Ristorante Pizzeria Alla Diga

08/08/2026: Excellent food, incredibly kind and professional staff, highly recommended! (And try their strudel, it's out of this world!)
05/08/2026: I had the house pizza, with sauerkraut and mortadella on top! I was so hungry and had a pizza like this... an experience I'd definitely repeat. My wife had the carpaccio with parmesan shavings and arugula, the dessert, and the owner was truly hospitable and kind. The serving staff was excellent, the guys were very good and fast!!! 👏👏👏

Bio Hotel Hermitage

29/03/2026: Just come back from this wondeful place. The most amazing views from the bedrooms windows and all the common areas. We had half board and the food was amazing. Four course dinner and great choices for breakfast. We were there in the last opening week of the hotel but from the service all round you would not have been able to tell. The hotel offer a shuttle service which pick you up and drops you to whereever you need to go around the place, whether for skiing or anything else. Super fast and efficient you just call and they are there within minutes. In general all the staff from the restaurant, reception to the spa are super nice and accomodating. Family run with a personal touch. Will definitly come again!
04/03/2026: We've been going to the Hermitgae as a family for many years and it's one of my favourite hotels. Why? It's family run, big enough to have everything you need including a not huge, but swimmable decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna with stunning views. Rooms are good and service excellent and there is a friendly minibus to take you into town or the lifts always available Most people go half board - the breakfast is excellent with delicious fresh breads, home baked patisserie, hams, salamis and mountain cheeses along woth perfectly cooked eggs to order, pancakes etc, yoghurts, fresh juices - only complaint is they could do with a decent museli, but you can order properly made porrage - and the coffee, top, along with teas. The dinner this year was the best we have had, strating with a grilled veg and salad buffet with hams, smoked salmon and cold roast beef, then choices of pasta/soup course, brilliant main course and stunning desserts - they also do excellent home-made tea time pastries included Madonna itself is medium-sized, low built resort full of, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some very good cafes and shops - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good with some v demanding blacks and excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view and as long as you are not into glitzy 6* spiv hotels, Bio Hermitage is the best you can get!
