09/01/2025: Todo sobre La Gruta en esta noche de invierno fue la perfección, desde la copa de Franciacorta con el bouche de diversión hasta la deliciosa tarta de manzana. La cocina es un paso adelante de la mayoría de la zona sin ser quisquilloso o exagerado. Disfrutamos de un hermoso e igual de sabroso paté de hígado de pollo en delicado brioche, una pasta compartida y dos excelentes platos principales: la pintada rellena y la bistecca alla Fiorentina, todo acompañado de un Talosa Vino Nobile. El servicio proporcionado por nuestros anfitriones era atento y amable, en absoluto congestionado. Si te gusta comer bien pero quieres que tu comida sepa tan bien como parece, La Grotta es para ti.

19/01/2025: Super excellent. I entered this place around 10.15pm, timidly asking if he could give us something to eat quickly, given the time. Instead we were welcomed with generous hospitality and that without rushing we could eat what we wanted We were pampered by Andrea, the owner, a truly nice person... polite, approachable, friendly, extremely helpful, very well prepared and professional. Without a doubt IT IS his job! I was struck by his discretion in staying at the table to be able to advise you, put you at ease, but knowing how to leave at the right time so as not to be invasive, admirable! The location, very comfortable, warm, family-like, with attention to detail. The cuisine is entirely produced and processed in-house... and you can feel it! I would have liked to taste the whole menu 😛 We went in with very little appetite and left with a full meal! The meat was exceptional, even the soups, even the bread was super! Obviously done by them. We made friends at the tables next door and spent a very pleasant evening... it felt like family, in fact its NOT a restaurant, but a cocktail. Eating/Drinking/Company.....A KITCHEN SHOP❤️ If you are even close to Pienza ... you MUST go I highly recommend it

19/01/2025: My wife and I had lunch with 2 small children... and what can I say.... truly exceptional... Abundant platter of cured meats and top quality products... pici with black garlic and sublime porcini mushrooms... and not to mention the rabbit which is exceptional to say the least... the mousse as a dessert is also very good... and to conclude the service truly top...the owner has a unique passion for satisfying the customer in an obsessive way...well done!!

11/01/2025: All delicious! From the appetizer to the dessert we really liked everything! The environment feels like home and the woman who served us was truly delightful, smiling and helpful. The chef has golden hands, the dishes were really delicious, I would have done an encore of everything! We didn't book, but I recommend doing so, especially in winter because places are limited and you risk missing out on the fantastic cuisine!

11/01/2025: The best found in Montepulciano! Amazing food for a good price (pasta from 8€), wide selection of wines (starting from 13€ for a bottle), excellent and attentive service. We enjoyed our dinner a lot. Always think before and reserve a table, the place is popular and always full.

03/11/2024: A small pearl in the heart of Montepulciano. They produce a delicious ice cream, with all natural ingredients absolutely KM0, I tasted an ice cream with new oil and fiordilatte which to say is good, absolutely does not convey the wonderful taste it leaves in the mouth. They should force the owner (Nicola) to put up a sign saying (WARNING IT CREATES ADDICTION) Well done Nico!!!!!

11/01/2025: We were here for dinner on 31/12, a chaotic evening by definition. We found a warm, welcoming, quite intimate environment, in its simplicity. A very kind and attentive service, we were pampered and ate at the right times, without long waits and without stuffing ourselves, with a mouth-watering all-carte menu. Delicious food, excellent wine, top staff and owners. Truly a beautiful experience. Well done, and thank you!!

03/01/2025: Unforgettable experience, an environment with attention to detail, we were welcomed warmly, served at the right time with courses with a unique flavour, everything extremely delicious but the thing I absolutely loved were the desserts, it had been a long time since I ate such good desserts , with a delicate and incredible flavor, truly TOPPPP SUPER RECOMMENDED!!!

23/12/2024: Sunday lunch as a couple, express stop. With parking, cozy atmosphere, clean bathrooms and wonderful service from Max. The bruschete antipasto was very delicious to share and two pasta dishes: pici al ragù toscano and cappellacci with lemon (shared), both delicious! With rosso wine recommended by Max, very good too. We will surely return!

04/12/2024: One of the best gastronomic experiences I had in Tuscany. Well presented dishes with excellent flavor and preparation. Suzanna and Alberto were cordial and very attentive. The environment is beautiful and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great experience in Montepulciano.

02/01/2025: A good restaurant, excellent lake fish, cooked with skill, really good. The 4 stars for the service which was excellent, the only flaw due to just one inexperienced waiter, but I repeat, kind and attentive service. The right 5 star rating, with what we ate. We will return for sure.

04/01/2025: Handmade pici with wild boar ragù like grandma's! Excellent cuisine. Also well-garnished pizzas with thin dough. Quick and courteous service. Very small place so you need luck to find a seat, but the tables free up quickly. Advised!
