04/11/2025: Historic place, everything excellent

28/09/2025: The food was lovely and the atmosphere was very nice. Would definitely recommend. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. Tordelli were amazing and the meat was so tender. I would happily go back and eat here again.

09/12/2025: We tried the new Sottosopra in Capezzano Pianore, fondly remembering the old restaurant in Massarosa, but the experience was disappointing. The place is a bit neglected, the service is haphazard, the portions are small, and the dishes lack flavor. The bill, at €35 per person, is decidedly high for the quality and attention to detail. It's a shame; we expected better. I wouldn't recommend it.

06/12/2025: Granted, the food is good—the tordelli are delicious, the grilled meat is good, and the fried pasta is exceptional—there are two things that aren't right: first, the waiter can't list half the available dishes...and then you see other dishes being offered that only the girl knows (and suggests); second, we've been there three times, and, always eating more or less the same things, when you spend 30 euros...just right...when 40...excessive. The feeling is that, since there are no menus with prices listed, they use double standards depending on the customer and who's doing the bill (the guy is more expensive than the girl). It's a shame, because the place is worth a visit...

09/10/2025: First night in Lucca and didn’t have a reservation anywhere. Tried to get into a highly recommended restaurant but it was full. Found Piccolo Mondo and they could take us (only 2 people). Food was excellent - soup, shrimp risotto, broccoli flan and spaghetti bolognese. All great! But service was horrible - the staff made us feel like they were doing us a favour by even recognizing us. But there are SO many great restaurants to enjoy that one doesn’t have to put up with such poor service.

09/09/2025: Great welcome, very good food, attractive prices, we had a pleasant time, very good atmosphere. Pasta with porcini mushrooms for 13€ really delicious, entirely homemade

23/09/2025: Despite its poor appearance, the pizza is very good.

19/08/2025: The pizza is certainly not the best in the region. The price is commensurate: very cheap. We had a really hard time ordering because the lady was very annoyed, wanting to do everything quickly; we felt unwelcome in this pizzeria from the very first moment. It was obvious that she didn't want to serve us. Perhaps it was because we were there with two small children. The lady (owner) obviously didn't speak English, but spoke a little quickly in Italian. All attempts to explain things to her via online translator failed. But I wouldn't recommend this pizzeria. The pizzas weren't moist, so it's not worth it. The atmosphere is okay.

14/12/2025: I entered this bar and politely asked an employee if a table was available. Despite several tables being visibly empty, a colleague intervened and began addressing me in a rude tone, yelling and complaining in an extremely impolite manner. The rudeness and aggression displayed by this employee are unacceptable for any public establishment. The attitude was completely unjustified and offensive. As a result, I chose to leave the establishment immediately. I will not tolerate or stoop to such a low level of interaction. I strongly advise against this establishment to anyone who expects even a modicum of respect and professionalism from their staff. A restaurant may have excellent products, but the customer experience is ruined by management lacking such good manners and courtesy.

14/12/2025: Terrible service: the waiters were very rude and disorganized. When we ordered our food, they told us to go sit at a table for service, but no one was available, so we had to wait. Given this, we went back to ask where we should sit, and, with rude accents, they couldn't answer. Not to mention the extremely high prices for the quality of the food. It's a shame, considering the beautiful location.

03/11/2025: Tranquility reigns supreme here, with beautiful landscapes and a cool climate even in summer. It's a shame that services are limited: the post office is open only once a week, there's a very popular restaurant, the church, and the cemetery. Buses are available, but few, and sometimes there are no connections to Valsamoggia (Bologna). This is a major problem for those without a car.

14/07/2025: È gia la seconda volta che ceniamo qui, qualità del cibo buona, camerieri gentili, forse un po’ troppo caos e musica un po’ troppo alta! Prezzo leggermente sopra la media!

10/07/2025: Menu molto vasto, materia prima di ottima qualità, buon rapporto qualità-prezzo servizio eccellente anche se il locale era molto affollato, i piatti sono arrivati sempre tutti insieme ed erano molto buoni

07/10/2025: We called to see if they could still feed us at 2:10 PM. We were told yes! Arriving at 2:20 PM, we were told First no, then yes, but we could tell they were in a bad mood, so we left! Since it wasn't my first time there, they must have had a different attitude!

18/10/2025: Small hotel, with a family atmosphere, small rooms and bathrooms, quite close to the sea.

05/11/2025: We went for dinner. The tagliata with arugula and parmesan was remarkable, a generous portion, along with tortelli with ragù and parmigiana. A pleasant dinner, absolutely affordable.

06/12/2025: I'm sorry, but: Friendly service, but with an excruciating wait. Out of four dishes, one yes, two no, one definitely no. VERY HIGH prices!!

22/08/2025: Every time I'm in Versilia, it's my go-to place. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the prices are very fair, and there are plenty of services.

16/04/2025: I haven't been fishing there for two years, even though I live less than 4 km away... I've always gone carp fishing to the big lake, and I've always had fun. The last time was two years ago, when I caught a nice 13 kg carp, which won me the morning competition. As for the rest, there needs to be more determination in renovating the big lake, especially the banks and fishing spots, which are in pretty bad condition. I don't know if they're still open...

20/09/2025: A restaurant surrounded by greenery where good food reigns supreme. Professional service with a touch of lightheartedness makes it even more appealing. The desserts and pizzas are excellent.

15/08/2025: A very cute place nestled in the greenery of the Torre del Lago pine forest. Fast and friendly service. The tordelli with ragù are simply fantastic, and the pizzas are also very good. Easy to digest and crispy dough. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the dishes, which are truly worthy. Recommended!
