The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves.
The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available.
We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge?
Food:
The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge?
The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. We had to return it because it was inedible.

01/01/2026: Very nice location however food is average. In my opinion, this isn’t a classic Italian restaurant, but rather a place that serves Italian‑style dishes with a different culinary approach. Good to know if you’re looking for strictly traditional Italian vibes.

18/07/2025: Bellissimo locale storico con tavolini all' aperto sotto un bel portico in pieno centro, prodotti ottimi sia dolci che salati. Forse il servizio non proprio velocissimo e il personale non troppo simpatico, ma si chiude un occhio.
02/05/2025: Personale scostumato e villano che non rispetta il cliente! Ero in fila al banco dove sono stata " superata da altri clienti " e cacciata dalla commessa dopo che mi ero permessa di farlo presente. Sono basita , mai visto un comportamento del genere

09/01/2026: Let's just say it's an experience. A dive into the '70s, like those trattorias you'd see in films starring Alvaro Vitali and Lino Banfi. Fixed menu, all included, for €18. Even wine. Obviously, you can't expect Masterchef quality, but if you want to fill up decently, this is the place for you. Of all the dishes I tried, I honestly wasn't crazy about the cacio e pepe; the cheese was left in the kitchen, but the other dishes were fine. Sufficient.

They were very slow and unprofessional, especially considering how expensive this place is. I definitely do not recommend it—not for tourists or anyone else. One of the female staff members was particularly impolite, speaking to us in a disrespectful way. The only good person was the Moroccan girl—she was kind and polite. Other than that, terrible service overall.

Fabulous. Food and some home made delicacies.

14/11/2025: The restaurant enjoys a charming natural setting just steps from the lake. However, in my opinion, the interior, especially the terrace, could use a makeover. I also didn't find the food to my liking, as it was far too salty. We ordered mushroom fettuccine for four, and everyone at the table agreed. The staff was unwilling to replace the dishes, claiming they were incorrect without further explanation. Therefore, I can't say I had a good experience.
28/09/2025: The owner is a rude person who, without knowing us and only by phone after having paid for the overnight stay without a refund, sent my husband "fuck you" in exact words, screaming and saying to never contact him again. A real villain, I strongly advise against it! I WOULD REMOVE HIM FROM ALL SITES as well as REMOVE THEIR LICENSE. We are forced to put a star otherwise the review will not be published. Other than stars, STABLE

Dirty atmosphere and little space between tables, waiters very untrained considering the square they work in.
€4 for a macchiato (nothing special), €8 for a sandwich with a slice of bread that would have been better if I'd made it at home. Obscene. Aren't you ashamed?
Paying exorbitant prices to feel bad is unpleasant. I understand it's more expensive since it's in a central square, but I can expect quality that isn't even a hint of this place. NEVER AGAIN...

The waiter who served us was "smart" in realizing we were tourists and not bringing us menus.
I was "unwise" in not asking for a menu so I could look at the prices first.
I won't add anything else.
