11/08/2026: 2nd time I have been here. This year they have tables in the expanded piazza. Food was good again. Service was excellent and we had a nice amaro digestive after from the owner.
02/08/2026: Horrible place, deadly heat, no air conditioning...very slow service, the meat tasted like dead meat and the mushrooms seemed fake...I spent a lot and instead of rounding down the price, they rounded it up and embarrassed me by wanting to be right. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The atmosphere is comfortable and well-lit, with plenty of space between tables. The service is prompt and attentive to customer needs.

09/05/2026: We ate well but it was too expensive: 30 euros per person for a hamburger and raw ham, panzanella and two strawberries.
04/05/2026: Along the way, you happened upon Mara Meo. We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised: the place was welcoming, modern, with a well-kept outdoor area. The food was excellent: cecina, a must-try; the lactose-free mozzarella and prosciutto focaccia was truly delicious, as was the pizza!
The price-to-food ratio was excellent!
If you're in the area, highly recommended!

08/04/2026: We were very pleased with the very friendly and helpful staff. Even on a day when they were supposed to be closed, we were served. There were four of us adults and a very welcome dog. Recommended for those who love Tuscan cuisine. The cuisine is vast and delicious.

07/08/2026: This is an amazing place to eat where the locals meet. Outside of the tourist area of Virareggio Boulevard. Look and feel of this warm and trendy Italian restaurant is perfect. Great style of interieur and matching colours. Staff were very friendly and had patience with our questions about the menu. Food was perfect! Will definitely come back!

30/05/2026: The menu doesn't match what you see online, neither in terms of dishes nor prices, and since I'm vegetarian, I only had vegetarian options for fried foods. The smell wasn't great, but the food was good and the staff was friendly.

15/08/2026: We stopped at this restaurant right after a guided tour. It's a beautiful place, clean and well-maintained. We ate on the terrace and the local food was beautifully presented and cooked. We were particularly impressed by the courtesy of the waiters.

The waiters, especially one tall, bald one, talked behind my back to other waiters about me having to carry my child out of the bar because of a tantrum, completely unaware of my embarrassment.
How sad to know there's no longer any tolerance for small children!

21/07/2026: Overall, the food was good, but nothing particularly special. The biggest disappointment was the service. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just to receive the bill, even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. The staff also didn’t seem very attentive or welcoming, which took away from the overall experience.
With friendlier and more efficient service, this could be a much better place. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food, so I hope this is something that can be improved.
