16/07/2024: A very pleasant discovery, a quiet place with very friendly staff and fast service. The raw materials are of high quality and fresh. Excellent for celiacs, the pizza, even with a ready-made base, is really good and well seasoned, even the fish is ok for celiacs. Very honest prices. We will be back.

24/06/2024: The food is certainly excellent and the service splendid, the attention to the customer almost obsessive, what I regret is the quantity. I've seen photos of the large fried seafood in other reviews and honestly I find it out of the market. 22 euros for a handful of squid and how many? 1 shrimp? 2? I'm not questioning the quality, everything was perfect, but even the fried anchovies were really poor in quantity for how much? 14 or 16€? In all sincerity there are more honest places in terms of price/quantity/quality ratio. Another thing that really annoys me is not being able to round the bill to the round number. You can't make a customer pay €33 or €40.... I understand that it's a restaurant of a certain level but in short.... Ah!!! It's another thing! Or how come water is spilled at some tables and we don't?

26/08/2024: Ambiente conosciuto atmosfera cordiale come sempre . Ottimo il primo piatto una porzione in 2 già divisa in cucina e abbondante. I secondi ,a parte l'attesa più lunga del solito, 2 filetti al tartufo sono risultati troppo appiattiti sul 'sughetto' di contorno mentre il sapore del tartufo seppur estivo era pressoché inesistente (piatto già preso in altre occasioni con miglior risultato). La carne di buona qualità ma l'aspettativa per il piatto era più alta.

21/06/2024: Recently visited this charming restaurant and couldn't recommend it highly enough! Just on the outskirts of Lucca, the views of the countryside were lovely and the venue had a really authentic and local feel. It turned out that a lot of the clientele were indeed local, which is hardly surprising, as they must know what a gem they have in their midst. It was a bit of a foodie's paradise. We asked for a selection of dishes from the menu that the chef and staff recommended, and they did not disappoint. We were treated to a seafood risotto and assorted fried and battered seafood which was super fresh, what with the coast only being a few miles away. The risotto was perfectly cooked, as was the unbelievably tender steak we were served next, and finally a beautiful meat ravioli which was a highlight and apparently a regional speciality. To be honest, all of the dishes were great examples of the authentic local cuisine, as the restaurant prides itself in honest, rustic food typical of the region, representing it's history of culinary delights. You could tell from the warm welcome we received and the attentive service from the staff (and chef, who took the time to come and speak to us) that everyone involved with the venue was proud of the place, and the food, and took ownership of the restaurant. The same amount of care put into choosing our meal was also put into recommending the local wines to pair with it. The wine was perfect and the experience was sublime. In conclusion, if you are ever out this way, come and dine here. They will not disappoint. Thank you, we will be visiting again!

08/07/2024: Peccato non dare 5 pallini a questo locale. La cucina lo meriterebbe in pieno. Ma ci sono attenzioni che mancano, piccole aggiunte che non avrebbero prezzo per il locale ma che farebbero sentire il cliente più "coccolato". Per esempio. Perché non aprire la cena con un calice di vino offerto dallo chef, o un pezzo della loro focaccia (buonissima, peraltro) con un po' d'olio e una scheggia di formaggio? Ho mangiato la loro tartare di manzo con maionese. Molto buona e abbondante. Ma perché non servire accanto anche un po' di sale Maldon e un po' di olio? I tortelli erano buoni e ben conditi. Il servizio, affidato stagionalmente a una ragazza inesperta, non è stato il massimo. Non certo per colpa della ragazza, ma di chi pensa che basti una ragazza giovane e carina a fare sala, senza insegnarle le basi, senza che sappia nulla di vino o delle preparazioni. Conto corretto.
