08/11/2025: We ordered two sandwiches. One vegetarian and one with lampredotto. Both were delicious, and we waited less than ten minutes for them. Recommended.

05/11/2025: Being in Lucca for several days, for my daughter wedding. Looking for the best lampredotto sandwich available, unfortunately not available at Fiaschetto, because they were out for the day, and preparing antipasti for a... wedding the next day! Fortunately for me, the same weeding that we were! :D Sooo, they brought me one lampredotto at the wedding! Excellent taste, excellent service level, I would warmly recommend Fiaschetto

15/11/2025: We loved it so much we returned a couple of nights later. Food is FANTASTIC, choose either a la carte or degustation menu which can be a choice of 2 or 3 dishes. Lovely intimate atmosphere with friendly owners. Not to be missed! A must when visiting Lucca. Can’t recommend it highly enough! A delicious meal awaits you 😊

15/11/2025: The food is already good in Italy, but when you mention Tuscany, the bar is raised, and recommending a place means they've somehow broken the mold. Il Grammofono does just that: fresh flavors and high quality. Three menu options per section change monthly. If we lived in Lucca, we'd come and try it every month.

29/10/2025: This is a gem not to be missed. There are some great Tuscan restaurants in Lucca (amidst a sea of mediocre ones).. when you’ve had your fill of pasta put Grammofono on your schedule..it’s small and quiet. A little soft jazz to soothe your frazzled nerves. Don’t try to put a label on their style. Just enjoy Chef Clara’s inventive expressions..Constantino and his helpful assistant will see to your every need. A refreshing respite from the crowds. Don’t walk on by (but a reservation would be in order).

03/12/2025: Excellent first courses (it's a spaghetti restaurant) with a variety of appetizers. Excellent service, courteous and smiling staff. Amazing homemade desserts. Perfect!

16/11/2025: In the center of Altopascio, in a quaint setting, we visited for lunch in mid-November 2025. The intimate, family-friendly restaurant welcomes you warmly and simply, introducing you to the restaurant's philosophy—primarily a spaghetti restaurant serving traditional and daily express dishes. For two, we chose tagliolini of the day (garlic, oil, and chili pepper with broccoli) and spaghetti alla pirata (similar to puttanesca, with olives and capers, spicy). We began with an excellent and generous appetizer of raw ham (Tuscan and flavorful, excellent) and freshly seasoned pecorino cheese. The appetizer was delicious, and the first courses were excellent (prepared on the spot and perfectly al dente). A quart of wine, water, and two coffees, for €47. Fast and discreet service. In short, an excellent stop for a traditional yet high-quality business lunch, although not cheap.

04/12/2025: A superb dinner! A restaurant in the village, refined yet simple, with tasty, well-prepared dishes and a superbly stocked wine cellar!!! Beef tartare with truffles was simply exceptional.

10/12/2025: Exceptional lunch. We chose the five-course tasting menu: a magnificent array of flavors, full of surprises, and excellent ingredients. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional. The chef was always present at the table, reflecting the elegant yet welcoming atmosphere.

04/12/2025: Even though the location is very nice and the food is very good, something happened to me that has never happened to me in my life! I frequent places like this, and about three months ago I went to Martinatica for the first time with someone who, alas, is to be forgotten. The service was good, except for the fact that the welcome and the description of the dishes are carried out like in a theatrical comedy that is a bit too artificial... and it really tastes fake, but aside from that, which is subjective... (I don't like it very much), last night I went back with my partner to celebrate my first month with her, hoping for a different evening: in reality, unfortunately, it turned out to be different! We had been sitting for a moment when the chef, a certain Mr. Francesco, came to the table with the air of a fellow diner rather than a professional and said: "Welcome back!" as if he had been a friend of mine for 30 years! My partner immediately, rightly, asked me: "So, have you been there before? Who did you bring?" And I said: yes, sorry, I was there with a crazy woman... but I wanted to have a good memory of this place by returning with you! I believe that if a serious and prepared professional "recognizes" a customer in his place who has been there previously but only once, he SHOULD NEVER make any mention if the customer returns with another woman! But that's not all: after 5 minutes this gentleman comes back to our table, gets almost on his knees and, almost resting his chin on the table, addresses my partner in a very confidential manner: do we know each other??? If it wasn't an important date of ours, I would have stood up and said: NO, SHE KNOWS ME! ​​ANY PROBLEM? My partner was shocked! And she said to me: look, I've never seen him, but who knows this guy! And I replied: he came because you are breathtakingly beautiful! A PLACE TO FORGET

29/10/2025: The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The service was impeccable. Giorgiana, with her smile and professionalism, was 10/10. Next time we return to Lucca, we'll definitely come back here.

26/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant in the center of Lucca But not just beautiful, like many restaurants in the center of Lucca. The food is exquisite, and the service is very attentive, as you'd expect from certain restaurants where expectations are high. Expectations were met, excellent quality food, a well-stocked and fresh menu, and an excellent wine cellar. Really attentive service, attentive and professional waiters. The price is a bit high, but justified. I'll definitely be back.

17/10/2025: We came to this restaurant in August with our family. The owner sat us on the terrace and gave us a very warm welcome. It had been a long time since we had eaten so well. It was excellent. A big thank you. I regret not having found this restaurant before (we only saw it at the end of our stay) much better than many other restaurants in Viareggio and the owner is very friendly.

02/12/2025: We had a truly wonderful meal! The Florentine steak was exceptional: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The side dishes—potatoes, beans, and fricchio—were also excellent, all prepared with great care. The owner is a quintessential Tuscan, friendly, and spontaneous, like someone straight out of a Pieraccioni film: with a crack of jokes and a quip, he made us feel right at home. It was a wonderful experience, we'll definitely be back!

10/11/2025: A small but very welcoming, family-run restaurant located outside the city walls and near Lucca train station. The food is excellent, especially the wide selection of local red meats. The steaks and beef tagliata are a guarantee. Exceptional!

01/11/2025: A scandal. They saw there were too many people and closed the bathroom (which was accessible and working) even to those who had consumed water.

23/10/2025: Elegant and modern restaurant located inside the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte. Stunning location, double Michelin-starred chef. I had the pleasure of meeting him, and I must say he's extremely friendly and personable. The food is of the highest quality and impeccably prepared. The menu is varied, offering both fish and meat dishes. The staff is courteous and attentive, but never intrusive.
