20/10/2025: Great sandwich very simple and traditional but the pesto spread made mine outstanding. The husband and wife running the place were friendly and made a point to explain how they were honoring traditional food using local ingredients which made this even more special.

19/10/2025: Best sandwiches i have ever had. To be honest, they aren't anything special on surface, but on the first bite you can tell that only best ingredients are used on them and the combination and filling is really thought out. Owners speak good english and are oh so friendly. place inside is tiny, only like 6 seats, but these are best to have on the go. It's the perfect pitstop for hungry.

08/11/2025: A wonderful experience! The dishes were excellent, with a special mention for the calamari and the tuna (in its pistachio and tea coating). The service was warm and welcoming. The restaurant was recommended to us by the Hotel San Marco and, without a doubt, it's an excellent choice, just a few minutes from the walls of Lucca.

I believe the location, the dining room where a wonderful lunch or dinner is served, and the dishes themselves speak volumes even more than the reviews themselves. Book and enjoy something unique. Kudos not only to the chef, who, by listening to his guests' preferences, can take you on a unique culinary journey, but especially to the staff, both in the dining room and, above all, in the kitchen. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the peaceful charm of the Tuscan countryside – a setting that immediately invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. The location strikes a perfect balance between rustic and elegant, with thoughtful details that reflect a deep appreciation for both tradition and contemporary comfort. The service was excellent throughout the entire meal. The staff were warm and attentive, striking just the right tone – always available, but never overbearing. It’s clear that hospitality here is taken seriously, and that every guest is made to feel welcome and relaxed. We were offered a tasting menu personally curated by the chef, and it was an exceptional journey through refined and creative cuisine. The menu included a variety of intriguing elements: delicate raw fish, a luxurious truffle and potato combination, perfectly cooked linguine enriched with miso, followed by bold proteins like bison, suckling pig, and quail. Each dish showcased a clear culinary vision – combining high-quality ingredients with modern technique and thoughtful presentation. Most of the courses stood out for their originality and flavor. The raw fish dish was fresh and balanced, the truffle and potato pairing offered an indulgent yet refined start, – a fusion of umami and elegance. The meats were handled with care, each prepared to highlight their unique character without overpowering the palate. Not every dish was a “wow” moment, but the overall experience remained highly impressive. The few elements that were slightly less impactful didn’t detract from the coherence or enjoyment of the meal – if anything, they underscored the chef’s willingness to take creative risks, which we genuinely appreciated. One of the strengths of La Martinatica is how it combines an ambitious, chef-driven menu with the relaxed charm of its surroundings. 29/10/2025: This is a gem not to be missed. There are some great Tuscan restaurants in Lucca (amidst a sea of mediocre ones).. when you’ve had your fill of pasta put Grammofono on your schedule..it’s small and quiet. A little soft jazz to soothe your frazzled nerves. Don’t try to put a label on their style. Just enjoy Chef Clara’s inventive expressions..Constantino and his helpful assistant will see to your every need. A refreshing respite from the crowds. Don’t walk on by (but a reservation would be in order).

17/10/2025: Simply the best meal we had staying in Lucca for a month. Possibility the best we have had in Italy, it was so good from the homemade bread, organic local wine to every mouthful of food. Can’t recommend Il Grammofono highly enough, it’s a must …

08/10/2025: This restaurant is very nice, but I can’t give it five stars. My husband ordered a salad and it looked and tasted like it came out of a bag. His steak was good but not great. On the other hand my truffle pasta was amazing. My side of sweet and sour baby onions was a delightful surprise. I ordered them out of curiosity and loved them!!! The service was great. Our waiter spoke English really well which was very helpful for us as our Italian isn’t the best.

02/10/2025: Starters and wine where amazing. Steak was ice cold and after mentioning it, they just simply re heated it. So not medium rare as ordered. Ice cold plates….. the ginifaul was slightly bland. We got free shots, so that helped! Really sweet personal.

17/10/2025: We came to this restaurant in August with our family. The owner sat us on the terrace and gave us a very warm welcome. It had been a long time since we had eaten so well. It was excellent. A big thank you. I regret not having found this restaurant before (we only saw it at the end of our stay) much better than many other restaurants in Viareggio and the owner is very friendly.

26/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant in the center of Lucca But not just beautiful, like many restaurants in the center of Lucca. The food is exquisite, and the service is very attentive, as you'd expect from certain restaurants where expectations are high. Expectations were met, excellent quality food, a well-stocked and fresh menu, and an excellent wine cellar. Really attentive service, attentive and professional waiters. The price is a bit high, but justified. I'll definitely be back.

01/11/2025: A scandal. They saw there were too many people and closed the bathroom (which was accessible and working) even to those who had consumed water.

01/11/2025: We had a great meal in a lovely atmosphere. Delicious vegetarian platter and excellent spaghetti. Friendly owner, easy to talk to. Excellent service from a young woman with beautiful curls (but that's beside the point 😀), who appreciated the compliment (nice too).

18/09/2025: 🔝. It's not just a butcher shop. It's a place to go for excellent food. Truly delicious first courses, second courses, and side dishes. The meat is delicious and cooked to perfection. Luca is a great, friendly guy, always ready with a joke. Wonderful staff. Congratulations. It's become my favorite lunch spot.

28/10/2025: My partner and I had a very different experience. Her pasta dish was bland and uninspired. My dish was good, but not amazing. The service, however, was flawless.

10/10/2025: Our group of four scheduled the premium wine tasting. This was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend visiting this winery. Absolutely everyone we encountered was knowledgeable, kind, helpful and passionate about the winery. The wine was good and the meat/cheese/bread that accompanied the tasty was high quality and plentiful. You will not be disappointed in this experience.

27/09/2025: This was an amazing experience, the driver from Camaiore itself is beautiful with the mountain panorama. We took pictures and sat on the little tables to enjoy the view before our tour. The guides are very knowable and tell you about the history of the winery as well as the process regarding all of the wines they make. I would like to add that they also make their own olive oil which I liked specially and purchased two bottles to take back home.
