03/10/2025: A pleasant little square with a view. I've run out of compliments.
It's a blasphemy to call the €18 Tuscan DOP cured meats and cheese platter the dish they served us: two small pieces of one type of passable cheese; the cured meats were two slices of prosciutto, coppata, and salami that you can find in the supermarket for a low price.
Foreign employees who are difficult to communicate with.
The first courses were generous, but the gnocchi were served overcooked.
To be fair, I raised my complaint at checkout, and the platter was charged half the price.

29/11/2025: This was our second time here. I don't think they know how to organize their clientele. Both times we had two different platters. Either everyone is like that, or it's just a matter of personal preference. I don't know. And at this point, I wouldn't go back. We wanted to eat inside, but we couldn't. We wanted a first course, and the kitchen only opens at 12:30.
In the end, we just grabbed a measly platter and left.

01/11/2025: It's always a pleasure to return to Livorno, a city where my heart beats so fast and memories resurface, especially when the places you love prove to be consistently top-notch! This is the case with the "La Vecchia Livorno" restaurant, where I feel at home. My compliments to the staff and the young waitress who, despite her young age, is very attentive, kind, lively, and well-prepared!
I can't wait to return!

21/10/2025: A historic restaurant in Livorno's industrial area. Originally, it catered to local workers and dockworkers. The prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality. The staff is highly trained and friendly, and the service is impeccable.
17/10/2025: Total chaos at lunchtime, waiters rushing around like mad. Long lines to get in, everyone crammed together, dishes arriving out of order. I understand the seaside town, the business lunch, and the joviality, but it's truly out of control. I'm sorry, but I won't be back.

19/09/2025: Excellent restaurant and therefore a great discovery that I recommend. The Michelin guide is right to recommend it as well. Warm welcome and good service. The room does not open to the outside but we still had a good time. As for the food: everything is excellent and fresh. They specialize in fresh fish. Great wine list. We ate very well.

12/09/2025: A wonderful place, with a very large area to enjoy, two swimming pools for children and adults. The rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. There's a delicious restaurant on site serving regional delicacies at reasonable prices. The front desk staff is very friendly, best regards!

I would have liked a better description of the dishes prepared by the waiters. Even the desserts. You're ordering a bit by chance...
Overall, it was enjoyable. I wouldn't return.

23/09/2025: We've been coming here for a few years, but this is the first time we've written a review, because the place deserves it. We've almost always ordered the so-called tourist menu, which isn't touristy at all: always impeccable fish starters, an excellent mixed fried fish main course, side dishes, and even wine at a more than fair price. Add to that the very friendly and courteous staff and the beautiful view of the Rio Marina harbor, and it's one of the best restaurants on Elba. Congratulations to the management and staff, and see you next year! We want to try the pizza, which looks wonderful...
