04/10/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday by chance. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, even promptly responding to our request to move and light the fire pit to keep our two-month-old baby warm. The food was excellent, the wait time was normal for freshly prepared dishes, and the wine was also worth it. They accept dogs and were kind enough to provide a bowl of water if needed. I really liked that the chef (and I assume the owner) walked around the tables to make sure everything was okay, but without being intrusive. I highly recommend it and thank them for the wonderful evening we spent there.

A clam dish cost €28? Treated like tourists, even though we're Italian. They answer us in English, "obviously bad," even though we speak Italian.

28/09/2025: Stopping by for lunch on the way back to Florence, we tried two first courses: seafood ravioli and spaghetti with clams, both sold for €16 each. The portions were truly ridiculous, at that price at least double what we were served—four ravioli, counted, and no more than 80 grams of spaghetti. When we asked for half a liter of white wine, we were offered the house wine, which, however, came in a 375ml bottle, a 13.5% ABV Pitigliano white wine that wasn't even a Chianti red. They should have told us this before opening it and pouring it into our glasses; it was far too heavy for a light lunch. The service was good, courtesy of a waiter of North African origin, although they and the owner insisted on having a Bangladeshi boy who didn't understand a word of Italian perform basic tasks, often using obvious reprimands, which was somewhat embarrassing for the customers. The restaurant is a trattoria-style establishment, with attempts at modernization that haven't entirely succeeded. Total 53 euros, with two coffees at the end. I commented on the quantities to the owner at the cashier, who actually thought they were overstocked because they were too much instead of too little... who knows! Did he try to pretend they usually serve more substantial dishes? Who knows! We certainly won't be giving away an undeserved amount of money again.

17/08/2025: You have to be incredibly patient for a first course that lasted over an hour and a half, sitting at a table between 8:45 and 10:15 PM, then for the second course after 10 minutes, we hadn't even finished the first course. I won't comment on the food because I was so annoyed I didn't even feel like eating. I would have left, but out of respect for others, I stayed seated. In the end, not even an explanation was given; in fact, I was wrong. Anyway, the girl at the tables was very kind and sweet, and you could tell she was having trouble.
Nice and clean place, but the wait times were excessively long.
No more than 5/6 tables in the dining room.
Negative experience.

03/08/2025: il vermentino ino ino a prezzi esorbitanti...una bottiglia in un negozo costa quanto mezzo bicchiere in questa sorta di ristorante sul mare. Piatti niente di che e miseri, varietà insussistente, camerieri supponenti. Esperienza pessima. E' vero che Punta ala è particolare, è vero che il posto da sul mare ma soono andato per mangiare e ho mangiato poco e speso un'eresia.
23/07/2025: This is my fourth stay at this property, which I've known since 2003. It's perfect for those seeking total relaxation in a well-maintained location, surrounded by nature. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff, who pamper you with top-notch service, are this hotel's strong points. I recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a relaxing break surrounded by nature, as well as families with children.

27/07/2025: Nicht ganz stimmiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis – tolle Aussicht, aber einige Enttäuschungen
Das Restaurant bietet zweifellos einen traumhaften Ausblick – sowohl während des Essens als auch später auf der Dachterrasse, die definitiv ein Highlight war. Auch das Essen war qualitativ sehr gut: Mein Filet war auf den Punkt gegart und geschmacklich überzeugend.
Leider war der Ablauf des Abends nicht ganz rund. Der von mir bestellte Appetizer wurde gleichzeitig mit dem Hauptgang serviert – was den Genuss etwas getrübt hat. Wirklich irritierend war jedoch der Preis für die Kindergerichte: Für einfache Penne mit Tomatensauce wurden jeweils 24 € berechnet – das halte ich für unangemessen, selbst bei gehobener Küche. Wir haben ansonsten lediglich ein Glas Wein und Wasser konsumiert und lagen am Ende bei stolzen 172 €.

14/07/2025: Incompetenti spaghetti con le vongole ? Non persistite vongole nel piatto se mai dei lupini sgusciati congelati .. mai mangiato male così senza un minimo di sapore di mare e er altro spaghetti verdi allucinante il uovo deve assolutamente andare a fare il bagnino che è meglio
11/07/2025: Castiglione della Pescaia, mare stupendo, pescherecci a due passi, eppure riescono a servire pesce che sembra arrivare da una mensa scolastica dimenticata degli anni ’80. Complimenti.
Cominciamo con l’“invitante” trilogia di alici. Sì, tre alici. Sempre le stesse, semplicemente impiattate in modo diverso per far scena. Stoppose, dure, con la coda ancora attaccata che ti ritrovi in bocca come un amo da sputare. Ma che vi costa almeno tagliarla?
Penso: dai, magari capita, saranno finite le buone. Arriva il secondo: calamaro in guazzetto. Gommoso da fare invidia a una suola di scarpa, salato da prosciugarti le labbra. Una vera impresa culinaria: rendere immangiabile anche un calamaro fresco in un paese di mare.
E ora la parte peggiore: nessuno chiede niente. Né un “tutto bene?”, né uno sguardo curioso sul piatto lasciato pieno. La sala e la cucina sapevano bene cosa stavano servendo, ma l’importante era incassare. Mi hanno preso i soldi con la stessa gentilezza con cui uno butta una cartaccia nel cestino.
Non mi aspettavo lo sconto, ma almeno una faccia seria. Un minimo di rispetto per chi esce di casa sperando di mangiare bene.
In una località così ricca di pesce vero, di tradizione, è criminale servire piatti simili. Un affronto alla cucina di mare. Ecco, spero che questa recensione serva a evitare a qualcun altro la stessa delusione.

08/07/2025: Il locale è delizioso, abbiamo mangiato all'esterno sotto una pergola. Mi è piaciuta molto la mis en place. Il cibo veramente buono, le signore del locale molto accogliente. Dopo aver pagato ci hanno regalato il pane fatto da loro e dei dolcetti vegani. È stato tutto molto bello ci torneremo
18/06/2025: Posto incantevole fuori dalle rotte turistiche. Mi aveva incuriosito passandoci davanti in bici anni fa, ma ripassando ora ho deciso di venirci a mangiare. Si sente che è tutto fatto in casa, con il cuore. Una bellissima esperienza, grazie.
