13/09/2024: ....quantité à la baisse. Notamment pour les légumes au four à Euro 9 pour deux grosses cuillères ! Idem pour la salade mixte à Euro 12. Finalement le voisin "Patrizia" est meilleur et moins cher.

09/04/2025: Visited La Fattoria with my parents and husband. We couldn’t book anything online so we just showed up and asked for recommendations. We were offered a tasting tour for €40 per person. First member of staff was very friendly, although we only got two glasses of wine and a bit of bread to taste two olive oils. Second staff member practically ran us through the building, talking very fast. I had to translate for my parents, a few times I just had to and interrupt staff to translate. She ignored me and just kept talking over me. Not the best experience and definitely not worth €40. The estate itself is beautiful, stunning views. Would be nice to have a walking path back to Panzano as you can either drive back (after wine tasting) or wait for a bus next to a main road and the last one leaves at 6pm. Considering that their hotel is in Panzano, would make sense to connect the two.

24/03/2025: Beautiful bar with a wonderful atmosphere and vibes, great for an evening with friends. The place is very small and the bartenders are super nice, I advise you to give them carte blanche when it comes to drinks, they have never disappointed me. Recommended for those who love particular drinks and want to taste something different from the usual

21/03/2025: Cheated on liquor. I ordered APEROL, which is what they sell on their menu, but it was another brand that was served, but it was acceptable. On the other hand, the red table they have has damaged my jacket because it has holes and my clothes get caught.

16/02/2025: A fantastic environment, a wonderful and uncommon selection of local wines (compared to classic tourist restaurants), mouth-watering dishes. Friendly, competent and non-invasive (but very helpful) manager. Sorano is very beautiful, but even if it wasn't it would be worth a visit just for L'Ottava Rima.

13/04/2025: Ho prenotato una cena in questo ristorante per festeggiare il compleanno del mio compagno, sperando di trascorrere una serata speciale, purtroppo invece è stata davvero deludente. I piatti che ho ordinato non erano niente di speciale, troppo salati o troppo unti, mentre al mio compagno hanno portato una cosa diversa da quello che aveva ordinato, sostenendo invece che fosse quella corretta, mentre era visibilmente diversa dalla descrizione in menu. Per la fama dell'hotel e per i prezzi indicati in menu, le aspettative erano molto alte e sono state invece purtroppo deluse. Peccato, visto che era un'occasione speciale.

07/12/2024: If you are looking for a gastronomic corner near the sea in Caletta di Castiglioncello, you cannot miss Caffè Bistrot, located in Via Aurelia 428 A. The owners, Nicola and Cinzia, are true lovers of cuisine, and it can be felt in every dish they serve. Their dedication is manifested in the attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients. Personally, I often stop for work reasons and every time it is a pleasure to come back. But it's not just a great choice for those who work; it's also a great place for a relaxing weekend dinner. Just 100 meters away is the seafront promenade that leads to Porto Cala de' Medici and the center of Castiglioncello, an excellent opportunity for a nice walk after dinner/ or after lunch. A must to try is the vaporata with prawns, monkfish and steamed vegetables: a dish that combines freshness and flavor impeccably. Furthermore, the wine selection on offer is excellent and complements the dining experience perfectly. And don't forget to leave room for dessert! The house tiramisu is simply divine, a perfect ending to an already fantastic evening. Caffè Bistrot is undoubtedly a restaurant to recommend and a place where the passion for cooking is transformed into a memorable experience. I can't wait to return!

29/03/2025: I'm sorry to have to give a negative review because the craft beer and the gnudi were not bad, even if the waiting times for a first course were too long in the absence of a valid selection of starters. The dirty floor, the greasy tables without even a paper placemat, the shabby staff uniforms, the dust from too many gadgets hanging on your head have irreparably compromised the evening. A management that is not yet mature, which must decide between a local cuisine and an ethnic cuisine, between a vegetarian approach and the Mediterranean diet. The dishes, if published on the menu, should always be available, because the customer goes to the restaurant to choose between first and second courses, including meat, not to make do. That's done at home.
