17/07/2025: Il ristorante era stato suggerito dall'Hotel Sangallo (stesso proprietario), con la promessa di uno sconto del 10%. Lo sconto non e' stato applicato e, nonostante lo abbia fatto notare, hanno rimosso l'argomento con qualche battuta ma tenedosi i 5 euro. Per antipasto ho ordinato delle melanzane ripiene con ricotta. Piatto insapore, ha preso un po' di forza solo dopo che ho aggiunto dell’olio di oliva. Senza lode e senza infamia. Il primo piatto aveva dei tagliolini non fatti in casa, mentre lo zafferano utilizzato risultava di scarsa qualità con un sapore molto acre. Le mandorle non erano fresche ma di taglio industriale. Prodotti comprati e assemblati. Pessima infine l’anatra che ho mandato subito indietro al cameriere: era impossibile tagliarla. E' stata purtroppo cotta e ricotta non so quante volte, fino a sembrare ormai bollita. Cotture completamente sbagliate. Nonostante che l’anatra sia stata mandata indietro interamente perché non commestibile, è stata ugualmente addebitata come si vede da ricevuta in allegato. Serata da dimenticare!

23/06/2025: In questa cittadina medievale ho potuto apprezzare il buon cibo in diversi ristoranti e pub ma in questo locale, bellissimo nel centro cittadino, , si respira tranquillità e si mangia veramente bene se ti fai consigliare dai gestori. Ottimo il pesce e ben condito, ottimi i primi e gli stuzzichini e una tagliata morbidissima e cotta al punto giusto. Con i vini ti puoi sbizzarrire e pure con i dessert. Il prezzo può sembrare un pò alto ma quando si mangia bene non guardi a dieci euro, se puoi.

10/08/2025: Menu che non cambia mai. Solo e sempre pici, il dolce in misera porzione viene servito in una ciotolina di solito usata per gli assaggi delle confetture ,ma quello che mi ha innervosito e' stato quando al momento del conto, pur di non farmi uno sconto di 1.70 € mi hanno dato il resto a 90€ in monetineanche di 5 centesimi Il totale era 71.70 e io ho pagato con 90€. Il menù non corrisponde a quanto viene realmente offerto, alle ore 20,00 hanno già finito tutto o lo chef ha deciso di non preparare più quanto scritto nel menù!

30/07/2025: Probamos este lugar para el almuerzo y disfrutamos IT. Tuvimos maravillosas recomendaciones sobre qué probar y disfrutar de todos ellos! Comparte platos para empezar, luego pasta tradicional y estofado de jabalí para la red. Terminamos con Helado para los niños y tiramisú - postre estilo adulto. Toda la experiencia fue encantadora, muy relajada y amable. Gracias por recibirnos! Tuvimos un paseo lento y completo de vuelta a nuestro lugar de estancia 🤭🫣 Mis fotos eran inútiles, pero el sabor de estos platos sencillos eran fabulosos!

22/09/2025: A very well-kept and well-decorated restaurant with attentive and courteous service. Here, you can fully experience the atmosphere of Calcata. The dishes, however, fall short of expectations, but are still good. This place is definitely worth a visit.

03/09/2025: We were there a few days ago. The location is stunning, both for the garden and the hotel-side entrance. The friendly service is perfect for those who appreciate attentive service. They even seat you with the person who sets your chair. If your glass is empty, the waiter will come promptly. The pizza is good, but not the best I've had. The dough is easy to digest, and the ingredients deserve a 4 out of 5, so it gets a thumbs up. The desserts also get a thumbs up. The price is obviously higher than average, but it's justified by one of Florence's most prestigious locations.

22/10/2025: I asked for an English menu, they didn’t have one. That was the moment I knew I was in for an authentic experience. But my authentic experience turned into a spiritual one, as this pizza made me astral project out of my body like doctor strange. This is the best pizza I’ve had in all of Italy (Napoli style) bar none. I’ve never felt such fresh and local ingredients. I can’t recommend this place enough. Please do yourself a favor and come here. It’s incredible. PS. I was gonna take a picture of the pizza before I started, but after the first bite I couldn’t hold back from eating the entire thing. You know how sometimes we wish for super powers? I wish my super power was to make this pizza appear again 😭

18/08/2025: We've been here several times, always for the fish menu: everything was good. Last night, with my granddaughters, we ordered pizzas for the first time: they were excellent; just the right height and cooking, plenty of mozzarella and toppings. The staff was very attentive and extremely friendly. Tables inside and outside during the warmer months. The atmosphere and bathrooms were clean.

17/09/2025: We had a warm welcome from the waitress and chef and they offered a variety of choices for my coeliac and lactose food allergens. The resfaurantbis registered with Italian Coeliac Association and chouces can be made with confidence. Food was delicious. Starter was adapted to suit my food intolerances with lactose free mozzarella and proscito, followed by baked trout in pot I I mushrooms - delicious! Nothing was too much trouble.

16/10/2025: This was a fantastic spot to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Florence. The sophisticated atmosphere and impeccable service made this a very special meal. Bedsides our delicious multi-course meal, we were greeted with a lemon/vodka/prosecco apertivo, a tasting platter, and an elegant presentation of four types of bread. Between our dishes, we were served a very light palate refresher with green chartreuse. Cestello has an extensive wine list; another table ordered the wine flight and it was lovely admiring the presentation! Both the charred sea bass and chef-special branzino were phenomenally tasty. My husband ordered gnocchi, and amberjack from the Crudite menu. Each dish delivered layers of flavors, a real distinction in a city filled with good food. The service included at least four different servers attending to our fresh flatware. Each course seamlessly blended with the best. It was a feast for the senses. For dessert, we chose the chocolate dome with banana-rum sorbet, and espresso. Finally, when my stomach felt ready to burst, our server brought out a tiered sampler with six bite-sized dolci for us to taste. The whole evening was exquisite!

16/10/2025: We had a group of ten. Table was set so we were quite spaced out but it was quiet. Food prepared nicely but not great for the price! Slow service. There were lots of great extras like a starter lemon vodka drink, bread, fabulous bread sticks, crackers with oil. And yummy candies at the end! Quite pricey!

14/06/2025: De bons " sandwichs ' italiens préparés devant vous, différentes recettes . Quelques places ( 4 au maximum) pour s asseoir et déguster.

16/05/2025: Otroligt god smörgås/sandwich!!! Återkommer hit! Bröd, olivolja och annat man väljer är av otroligt hög kvalite!!!! Rekommenderar!
