12/04/2025: Excellent rustic environment with helpful staff, I always wanted pizza on Mondays, unfortunately their closing day, today while I was in the area, I felt like it and ordered, 5 stars nothing to complain about excellent pizza, soft and crumbly dough at the same time, good ingredients!!
06/04/2025: The pizza is very good. The chickpea cake on the other hand is too greasy. Normal service.

17/03/2025: We had dinner at La Favola Mia for a work commitment and we felt really welcome. Personally, I am a fan of Renato Zero and I found the artist's energy and charisma in the professional and empathetic dining room staff. The raw materials are of high quality and the presentation of the dishes is meticulous. Also recommended for its strategic position, not far from the Chiesina Uzzanese motorway exit, halfway between Florence and Versilia, very close to Montecatini Terme and a few km from Lucca. We will be back soon😊

22/04/2025: first time in this restaurant, years ago it was a grocery store. honestly I will come back here, the waiting staff who I think was also one of the owners were extremely kind. the menu clearly based on meat and of excellent quality! I decided to try the spaghetti with sausage and puntarelle, and then the fried lamb with artichokes. my daughter started with the prosciutto crudo, and from the first taste it was clearly a handmade and quality product, and then pasta with butter. my wife opted for the artichoke flan and then pappardelle with duck ragù!

FOR THE WORSE we are very sorry but the pizza failed. price/quality no longer has any meaning. SIN

28/01/2025: Found by chance while on a motorbike ride. The staff was very kind, I met the restaurateur/chef of the restaurant who accompanied me to the table and immediately served me the appetizers: salami, Parmigiano Reggiano, gnocco fritto and Pattone, or fried mushroom rice, as they used to do in the old days. What can I say... everything was exceptional, especially the salami, which was amazing! Then I moved on to the first courses and took the tray of tortelli: a mix of four types of tortelli – greens, pumpkin, potatoes and herbs, gorgonzola and walnuts – a spectacle for the palate. Amazing place, I will definitely be back!

26/04/2025: I have already done a review or perhaps more than one for this historic restaurant, today I would like to try to explain the "behind the scenes" I was there helping for 11 days because one of the pillars of the restaurant, Vasco, fell ill and is now recovering from the onset of pneumonia. When you are a customer you don't understand the difficulty of managing such a place, but as a helper you open your eyes and say how is it possible to do something like this for decades? Let's start from the kitchen, the kingdom of the cook and owner, Lidia, with those who follow her and support her at every step Carla, every day you have an à la carte menu where you can choose what is prepared early in the morning, the various sauces, the vegetables, the meats, the game, the desserts (even the desserts because here they are always made fresh) the hours it takes to prepare this and more are many, to give an example think of washing the vegetables and fruit, and the appetizers? The first ones? Second courses and side dishes? From rabbit to game, including fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar, croutons, truffles, cheeses... everything you want is here. But then the time comes to serve at the table and it's not like they are served in canteen style, they are served and presented very well, the two rooms are served by Claudia, the waitress, by Andrea the owner... you have to organize yourself, set the table, serve, clear the table and prepare again for those who will come to eat, around 40/45 seats, a whole succession of arrivals and departures, it may seem easy but it isn't, just the fact of satisfying all the customers/tables with the orders placed which, once taken, must then be passed to the kitchen, which in turn will have to manage them in the order dictated by those serving the tables and send them back to the dining room based on reservations so that everything runs smoothly... Another thing is that here is a step higher than other places it's wine, here there would be a world apart and to write for two days and I can't, this is Andrea's KINGDOM, he knows wines from all over Italy, a great connoisseur, each wine is produced with particular grapes and vines for have the best results, those who make you say I like this wine rather than that one, this aroma, this flavour... Andrea knows his stuff about these things, my partner and I always take advice from him as customers, we ask him what we would like to drink at depending on what you like (fruity, scent of wood, dry, more or less full-bodied, etc...) and magically Andrea doesn't miss a beat. The wine list here is unparalleled, the truth must be told, you can't find commercial wine... a clarification: red, white, rosé prosecco have no secrets with Andrea and I personally really like to have him explain the where, how and when of the wine I'm about to make. drink... in summary Lidia and Andrea, the owners, form a great team together with Carla, Claudia and Vasco, there must be a reason if it is a historic place (it is also found in the Michelin guide) so I invite you to try this cuisine linked to traditions and more, lunch or dinner doesn't matter, you just have to relax and taste... just say "I read Massimo's review" if you are curious to try...
25/04/2025: An old-fashioned place for refined palates. A welcoming and familiar atmosphere, top-notch service and honorable mention to the owner. The ingredients, quality, fresh and seasonal, are cooked and combined with care. You must try the tasting of the day, always different and composed of 3/4 appetizers and 4 first courses. Honorable mention for the tagliata sui dormienti, a seasonal mushroom with a delicate flavor, very difficult to find. Spending just over €30 per person. At La storia a tavola the quality of the past has remained but inflation has not arrived. A jewel to be made known

10/04/2025: Club with Bar, Pizzeria and Restaurant, in the greenery of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, excellent quality products, served in a rustic environment, where time has stood still, in winter welcoming you with the warmth of the lit fireplace and the scent of good things, the pizza is delicious, thin, well seasoned, not to mention the cuisine and desserts are all homemade.... Congratulations to Paolo and all his collaborators, who have existed and persisted for years, providing an excellent quality service, and providing a meeting and aggregation point in this sometimes complicated mountain of ours. I highly recommend it... better to book by phone.
30/11/2024: Cozy rustic place, kindness and availability in abundance, congratulations to the willing volunteers. Really interesting fish dinner with very generous portions. Excellent lobster strips and tasty baked prawns. Without a doubt, an experience to be repeated. Parking is not very convenient, but with a little creativity and improvisation you can find a place. 😜

Good beers and desserts. In my opinion excellent prices. The environment is very welcoming and particular, in winter the heated loggia is nice, in summer it is nice to be in the church square. A nice option for an evening
03/03/2025: Davvero ottimo l'impasto delle pizze, che risultano leggere e molto piacevoli al palato. La scelta è ampia e spazia dal classico al più ricercato, accontentando davvero tutti. Buone le birre ed i dolci. Secondo me ottimi prezzi. L'ambiente è molto accogliente e particolare, d'inverno è carino il loggiaro scaldato, d'estate bello stare in piazza della chiesa. Una bella opzione per una serata
