22/06/2025: Beautiful little place immersed in the pine forest, very cool and a stone's throw from the sea. The kitchen is very fast despite the number of people and the queue moves quickly. The menu is full of light dishes, and there are also two or three vegetarian choices, maybe a few more vegan choices would be useful, but still very good. The music in the morning was also very pleasant and relaxing.

04/05/2025: My friend and I stumbled across Locanda Elena, whilst wandering in Equi Terme. What a find. The ambience was perfect! We had an amazing lunch, partnered with an excellent service. Many thanks to all the staff and compliments to the chef. 🙂

04/03/2025: Eravamo ospiti con la mezza pensione. Tutto favoloso: pappardelle al cinghiale , tagliata , bresaola e burrata, ma anche piatti con pesce: trancio di tonno, polpo, pasta con spada. Buonissima anche la colazione dolce/ salata a buffet alla mattina. Si vede l'amore per la cucina

27/01/2025: Despite the numerous negative reviews (from some time ago), we still decide to stay in this facility. Fairly sized room, "old style" furnishings in keeping with the structure and external environment, shame about the French window on the balcony shared with another room (impossible to keep the window open if other guests are present). Attentive and friendly staff, excellent restaurant solution for guests of the structure with excellent quality food, such as that for the buffet breakfast. Tidy garden and clean swimming pool, the structure has probably changed management since the time of the negative reviews. Ample parking. Advised!

26/04/2025: חיפשנו מקום לעצור לפיצה והחלטנו לנסות את המקום הזה. התברר כהחלטה מעולה, כי כולנו הסכמנו שזה היה מהפיצות הכי טובות שניסינו! בנוסף, השירות והאירוח היה מושלם למרות שלא הזמנו מקום.

03/07/2025: Quiet, convenient spot near the station — it was perfect while waiting for our car pickup. They kindly let us put our luggage in the front, which was nice. The bruschetta was okay, but the carbonara was creamy (slightly salty in my opinion), and the tortellini al ragù was tasty. Good meal, if you looking for something easy and quick!

02/07/2025: (English) I found the food at this restaurant quite disappointing and believe it’s significantly overrated. I was drawn in La Grotta Di Leo by glowing reviews, which led me to dine here, and being in Italy, I was hoping for authentic, traditional recipes. On my first visit, I ordered the carbonara and a T-bone steak. The carbonara was underwhelming and passable at best—lacking the firmness and texture I’ve enjoyed in other establishments. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. As for the T-bone, aside from an excess of myoglobin on the plate, it lacked the robust, savory flavor I associate with a well-prepared steak, suggesting the seasoning or preparation missed the mark. I returned the next day, mainly because the location was convenient to my accommodation. The waitstaff greeted me warmly, which I appreciated. That time I ordered the spaghetti all’Amatriciana, a dish that traditionally includes just tomato sauce, guanciale, Pecorino Romano, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, dry white wine, and salt. The menu simply listed “tomato, bacon” as the ingredients, so I assumed it would be close to the classic version. However, when the dish arrived, it included noticeable amounts of garlic and large chunks of onion pieces—ingredients not listed on the menu and not typically part of the traditional recipe. The bacon was also too soft for my liking. When I asked a waiter whether the dish was prepared correctly, he took my plate over to his superior without saying anything and returned without an explanation. The interaction left a strange impression. When I asked another staff member who had taken my order, she replied dismissively that “every restaurant has its own recipes.” I wasn’t demanding a culinary lecture—I simply felt that if non-traditional ingredients like garlic and onion are included, they should be clearly listed on the menu. Overall, my experience didn’t live up to the culinary standards I had hoped for in Italy, especially Florence. The restaurant has potential, but the execution and adherence to authentic recipes left much to be desired. This became a memorable part of my trip, but for all the wrong reasons.

03/07/2025: I stopped by chance at Pasticceria Desideri in Montecatini Terme and was enchanted. The place is large, bright and very well-kept, with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very kind and attentive. I had a dark cappuccino, made to perfection, and a tramezzino with turmeric and ginger bread, stuffed with spinach and cheese: simply delicious. A perfect break. Highly recommended

30/06/2025: Historic place located a few meters from the highway toll booth with ample parking is very characteristic. Divided into two rooms one that tells the story of the family and a very welcoming one is a nice refreshment point. Very good pastries and not only and here you will find the specialty of Montecatini, the wafers.

09/06/2025: We visited Agricola Poggio ai Laghi as part of a day tour of Tuscany. We enjoyed the experience, which included lunch and a wine, cheese, and vinegar tasting. The products are of high quality and can be shipped to your home if you choose to purchase. I recommend the experience.

07/06/2025: We stopped in on a tour and it was delightful. Living in a wine region (Perth Hills) we feel like we’re old hands with small wine producers but Poggio ai Laghi are wonderful. We were SO welcomed and the wines and food were delicious!! 🥂

22/05/2025: Excellent! The previous day we spent two hours looking for a suitable place to have dinner. In some places there were long queues to sit down at a table, in places where there were no queues the cost was high, and the cuisine was mediocre. We unexpectedly discovered this restaurant, which was located in our hotel. In addition to the fact that the portions were huge, and the dishes were perfectly cooked, the price was two times lower than in other nearby restaurants. They also provided a discount as hotel guests. The service was at a high level - the waitress was kind and attentive, and the chef personally recommended the dish of the evening and inquired about the quality of his kitchen. I recommend!

30/04/2025: Un discreto posto, senza infamia e senza lode. Non particolarmente ricercato l'arredamento, ambiente silenzioso. Personale gentile, la ragazza in particolare molto garbata e disponibile. Cibo buono, pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale ottime, riso un po meno. Conto finale nella media, conveniente con sconto The Fork
