An excellent find! Don't be fooled by appearances, because even though the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, the food is well worth the trip. The cuisine is delicious, particularly generous, and made with love. To top it all off, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is truly pleasant. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

Based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the relatively generous opening hours in April/May, we visited Trattoria La Fornace for the first time at lunchtime. We had a delicious seafood risotto for two. The owner was very friendly, and we happily ordered dessert and the obligatory coffee. Following this positive experience, we visited the trattoria two more times in the evenings, ordering the fish and seafood platter for two and the risotto again. Besides the owner's obvious delight in seeing us again, all the dishes were excellent, and the atmosphere was authentic. If tourists struggle with Italian, English will suffice. We wholeheartedly recommend this trattoria and thank the owner and his family.

I had to take a friend who lives in Carrara to lunch, so I did a Google search and, trusting the reviews, chose this place. It's a family-run restaurant, the owners are very friendly and communicative, and the food is excellent, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Overall, a positive experience.

We went there today after reading the reviews. We're so glad we did. My wife enjoyed the fresh pasta with gamberoni imperial sauce, and I really liked the tagliata. The pasta was divine, and the meat was very tender and cooked perfectly. The desserts are very good.
