Excellent dinner at Nostos Bistrot. By far the best in Sicily. Fresh and delicious dishes. Reasonable prices and top-notch service from the chef and waiters! Highly recommended; if you visit Syracuse, you absolutely must go.

Lovely Bistrot which we settled on after a bit more limited choice as it was Sunday evening. It was a great meal if a little pricey. Arancini starter was delicious - very generous portion. The ravioli main was very tasty. Wine - we drank by the glass here and the house wine was very palatable.

NEVER TRUST A SKINNY CHEF This phrase drew me into this restaurant. Flavor, plating, atmosphere. They delivered a perfect balance of satisfaction and perfection!! I was so impressed the moment I left the restaurant that I had to write a review right away. ☆ If you're visiting Syracuse, you absolutely must try this! You won't regret it.

What a wonderful restaurant in Ortegia. Food was incredible, service was friendly and very capable. The caponata was the best I’d ever had, without a doubt. Nice wines, cozy place, great evening.

Ristorante La Trota

29/05/2026: We had dinner this evening at La Trota, and overall, the experience was excellent. Starting with the food, both my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the tagliolini and carbonara. We also had the opportunity to try three appetizers (bruschetta with dried and grated trout, trout carpaccio, and hot-smoked trout with mayonnaise). The appetizers were excellent. The gin and juniper-marinated carpaccio is highly recommended. We finished with trout in Saor, which was slightly too salty (personal opinion), but the combination of trout, onion, raisins, and pine nuts really impressed me. The dessert was also good, as was the carob and persimmon combination. The location is charming; you eat in a cave. A special thanks to Corrado for his kindness and exceptional attention to service, and, of course, for the appetizer samples. Unfortunately, we live quite far away, but we'll try to return. Considering the quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated pairings, the price for dinner was very fair.
