06/06/2026: A small, charming hotel right on Lake Garda. The rooms were very clean and cozy, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning – the coffee was especially excellent ☕️ Our dog was also warmly welcomed, which was a huge plus for us. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. It's in a quiet location with a family atmosphere and is the perfect base for exploring the area around the lake. We'll definitely be back!

05/01/2026: This is the perfect place to go for a particularly good pizza. Modern and clean interior. I found the service to be correct, but not very attentive regarding timing, despite the low number of visitors. My espresso arrived much later than the dessert I ordered at the same time… Next time I would ask for attention, but normally I never do that. PS the owner needs to update the opening hours on Google Maps…

13/05/2026: Delicious. 😋 Great place with good coffee and amazing ice cream. I've been here 3-4 times during my stay and was always satisfied. Plus, the prices are cheaper than in the old town. Highly recommended!

07/06/2026: We got coffee and pastries here almost every morning during our week in Siracusa. The staff are lovely, friendly and very patient with our attempts at Italian! Coffee is good and the pastries are fresh and delicious. You can sit outside or inside and there’s lots of space. On Sunday morning the place was packed with locals having breakfast. Highly recommended!

16/04/2026: Hotel Gutkowski is an incredibly charming and picturesque little hotel. We had a very beautiful and well-maintained bedroom that overlooked the sea on the side. The breakfast consists of various fresh organic products and can be enjoyed outside in good weather. It wasn't huge, but it was certainly good and tasty. We had a very pleasant stay; highly recommended!

15/04/2026: Magnificent room with a sea view. The view is truly breathtaking! The rooms are very clean and the bedding is comfortable. The breakfast is also very good. I highly recommend it!

21/03/2026: Dinner for two: an appetizer and two fish main courses. The appetizer was a shame: a cold, lackluster, and lackluster mixed fried fish... but it's still a place worth a visit.

17/05/2026: We visited on a Saturday evening, booking a table for about 20 people, including three children. They placed us in a cramped, hot, and noisy space on the upper floor, accessible only by a spiral staircase. I'll skip the "emergency escape routes" section for obvious reasons, but the inconvenience was obvious to everyone, including the poor waiters. Although they were very kind, they couldn't get through, so they hand-served some pizzas while we were standing. They were quick to prepare the pizzas, but some were burned on the bottom. The "zucchini" was a bit watery and had too much cheese. Parking was also difficult, quite far from the entrance and full to capacity. It's a shame; sometimes you should be content with fewer people in the restaurant, but be able to manage them more humanely. Changing tables are available in the restrooms.

31/05/2026: I arrived at 1:30 PM and finished at 3:27 PM, eating very little and having to wait forever. About an hour passed between the first and second courses. The pasta dish was a paltry portion. For the second course, we ordered a cutlet, the smallest I've ever seen in a restaurant. Dessert arrived cut in half. They skimped on everything possible. The service was slow and unfriendly. The only decent thing was the location, which was nice. Poor value for money.

26/05/2026: A Milanese chef who has found a new home in Ortigia, a cuisine with incredible ingredients that has found new ways to be enhanced in the hands and culture of the chef. Super-efficient service without losing any of the Sicilian warmth, an excellent wine cellar, and a series of attentions and pampering—starting with the bread—that are hard to forget.

28/10/2025: I was surprised by a simple local cafe and their bad behavior! My husband and I ordered bruschetta as a starter (4 pieces of cheese on bread and a small shrimp. Since it was not on the menu, the waiter took advantage and added 20 euros to our bill. 1 piece of bruschetta was estimated at 5 euros :) It was dishonest because we could not imagine that they would charge us the price of almost 2 portions of carbonara for the starter. This is not our first time in Sicily and we were very surprised that we would be charged 20 euros for a 5 euro starter. Be careful if you go there and always clarify the price so that you do not get such a surprise and do not feel cheated. The service staff took advantage of the fact that we were not local! 28/04/2026: A friendly, unpretentious bar open when everything else is closed. Choose from sweet and savory options in the display cases, with quick and friendly service and good ice cream. Perfect for a quick lunch before heading to Pantalica.

21/02/2026: An anachronistic experience and unbalanced value for money. I visited this well-known pizzeria with my family, but unfortunately, my expectations were largely disappointed. The initial impression was marked by a decidedly subdued welcome: the cashier—the owner—distinguished herself by a marked lack of empathy and warmth, an approach that clashes with the minimum standards of hospitality. Furthermore, the place appears frozen in an outdated aesthetic, conveying a sense of neglect rather than tradition. Regarding the food, the pizzas were adequate but lacking in excellence, with specific sore points: Shrimp Pizza: It tasted flat due to the lack of the necessary aromatic component (garlic and parsley). Pizza alla Norma: Definitely unbalanced; the eggplant was excessively dark in color, a clear sign of having been fried in used oil. Margherita with sausage: The mozzarella portions were insufficient, and the overall flavor was barely acceptable. The biggest disappointment concerns the treatment of guests: In a restaurant like this, one would expect at least some attention to the little ones, a courtesy that was completely lacking from the owners. The only bright spot of the evening was the professionalism of the waiter, a talkative and courteous figure who tried, wherever possible, to improve the service. Finally, the bill was disproportionate to the overall experience. One gets the feeling that every detail is being monetized without any real return in terms of quality or hospitality. Not recommended. Management needs a profound overhaul, both structurally and in terms of attitude. If the system allowed it, my rating would be zero stars, as the overall experience doesn't even reach the minimum passing grade.

25/03/2026: The lady at the cash register is incredibly rude. I was truly shocked by the treatment; I've traveled far and wide and NEVER had anything like this happened to me. I truly don't understand why she constantly complains as if she were doing us customers a favor? I come in to pay my bill and she yells at me, huffs, complains, all annoyed, bangs her fists on the counter, moans of pain coming out of her with every payment, all upset and angry if you pay for a very large bill in two parts. She was on the verge of tears with rage and even told us so! I didn't think I'd ever find people like this again, who in 2026 STILL don't understand paying by card. She had to carry out operations so quickly and easily that even a child could do it without a murmur. I'll never come here again just because I can't stand being treated this way after paying for a service. (We were a large table and she had something for each of us who went to pay.) Do people know that no one forces them to do this job? It's a shame, the place is very beautiful and quaint. I had the pleasure of eating and drinking there. My advice, however, is to remove that lady from the cash register or at least not have her in a role that involves interacting with customers.
