17/03/2025: Its a bit of a maze, but the staff are ever so helpful. The cheese is marvelous. The produce looks fantastic and I look forward to trying it. The layout of dried goods is attractive and easy to see. The gluten free rice-based biscuits I got were dreadful - stale and smelling & tasting mostly of preservative. Really unfortunate. I got 2 different kinds of gf pasta which I'll try later. It's good that Italy has gf options, but they've been commodified to the point where it's hard to find *good* gf options. I absolutely expected top-shelf products at this store and I hope the pasta rates a lot better than those biscuits.

18/07/2024: We had a weird experience on our first visit - we got a Pizza menu although we wanted to try seafood. The Pizza menu had a QR code that opened a full menu on their website (guess we all have smartphones with Internet connection). And the waiting time was a bit long (15-20 min the moment we were ready). Anyway, fast-forward - we had the grilled squid and tuna (well-cooked as requested) and we couldn't complain. I only wish the portions would be bigger but that's me - a seafood-craving-lunatic. On our second visit we had some delicious pizza (and the waiting time was smaller). The staff is friendly, overall. But as at most places in the area, conversing in English can have its limitations, so make sure you use some Italian words too, if you can.

23/08/2024: Many varieties of ice cream and many fruit ones. I chose watermelon and melon. They would be excellent if they weren't so loaded with sugar! You can and must improve

21/03/2025: I was deeply disappointed by my experience at Antica Salumeria di Ortigia. I expected much more from a place that prides itself on tradition, but unfortunately the result was far below expectations, both in terms of service and quality of food. Exorbitant prices for a mediocre offering: I would have gladly paid the high bill if at least the quality had justified the expense, but that was not the case. The quality-price ratio is simply unacceptable. One of the most disappointing aspects was the bread: hard, dry, clearly not fresh. Even the pizzoli, the base of the sandwiches, were in the same condition, making every bite a struggle. To make matters worse, I discovered that many products are heated in the microwave, clearly visible behind the counter. A choice that completely clashes with the image of authenticity and craftsmanship that the place tries to convey. The sandwiches, in addition to the poor bread, were completely devoid of internal condiments, resulting dry, tasteless and boring. No care, no attention to taste. In short: a place to avoid if you are looking for authenticity, care and a minimum of respect for the customer. I sincerely hope that they decide to improve, but until they do, I will not return or recommend this place to anyone.

13/01/2025: The food is delicious! The owners are very open, extremely dedicated, super nice, and very welcoming. We felt completely at home! You can also help out on the farm and, for example, camp with a camper (electricity and water included) at no cost! Enjoy!

24/10/2024: Le pizze della frateria sono sempre una conferma di qualità e innovazione. Cornice suggestiva. Abbiamo chiuso con un tiramisù e un gelo di cannella veramente buoni e in ultimo un rosolio di alloro della casa.

16/10/2024: No hay señalización para encontrar este lugar como destino de comida turística y lamentablemente no pudimos encontrarlo. Una gran pena, se veía bien, ¿ha cerrado?

06/11/2024: Un locale davvero unico! Dal dolce al salato, dalla colazione alla cena è tutto eccezionale! Fatto in casa sul momento. I lievitati sia dolci che salati sono delicati e digeribili. Gli arancini migliori di tutti quelli mai mangiati (panatura e frittura perfetti, mozzarella filante). E soprattutto a prezzi IMBATTIBILI!!!

29/10/2024: Arancine di riso superlative. Caponata fantastica. Servizio gentile ed efficiente. Prezzi economici. Un pranzo veloce ma di infinita soddisfazione. Un pit stop gastronomico da non perdere.

06/02/2025: Terrible experience. Rude staff who go so far as to push kids without a valid reason. A place is first of all a service to the public and then a commercial establishment. Shame on you rude people.

13/03/2025: We were there to celebrate Valentine's Day with a group of friends.... simple environment and without particular luxuries. All in all, a nice evening.

27/02/2025: Old farmhouse restored and converted into a restaurant. Nice location even if we were on a veranda closed by glass and quite cold. The service was punctual and precise. Evening with music and dancing.....but nothing exceptional. Good overall....but there is undoubtedly better.

06/03/2025: Ate both pizza and fish main course (mixed grill) as a couple. Both courses were quite good, although more could be done. Prices are slightly lower than the Marzamemi average, however in line with what you ate. The location is nice, almost facing the sea.

13/02/2025: Excellent pizza with seafood flavors! Very friendly and efficient staff. I had dinner on Sunday, and although the place was crowded, I didn't have to wait too long. 😊
