17/12/2024: Locale curato e accogliente, servizio veloce e cucina genuina ma allo stesso tempo ricercata e attenta nei particolari. Vengo spesso qui a mangiare e mi sono trovato sempre benissimo in questo locale che ormai per me è qualcosa di familiare. Continuate così!

04/12/2024: One of the fastest pizzerias in Modica also thanks to the presence of 2 ovens. I remember the impeccable management during the Covid period. Very attentive to customers. Prices higher than average but all in all normal.

08/12/2024: I took the pizza roll, the one with fennel was very good. The place is truly special, attention has been paid to the smallest details and even the Christmas decorations are very creative and elegant, the bathroom is spotless... which is no small thing!

20/08/2024: We tried the takeaway pizza for a family dinner during our summer holidays, appreciating the quality. At first impression it seemed like a somewhat secluded place and not particularly attractive but speaking with the owner and seeing the team of pizza chefs at work immediately gave the impression of a very popular and appreciated place. The courteous and pleasant staff enlivened the wait by telling the history of the pizzeria and the origins of bakers. The restaurant also has a room for on-site consumption which however I was not able to see.

Eravamo un gruppo di 10 persone abbiamo ordinato un mix di antipastini fritti tra cui le panelle ( ben fatte) e il baccalà in pastella ottimo, ottime le pizze napoletane con bordo alto e i dolci tra cui la i bocconcini di pizza dolce fritta alla nutella e il babà di San Gennaro…una prelibatezza… prezzi nella media

05/08/2024: Tijdens ons verblijf in het hotel vlak naast dit restaurant (ook een aanrader!) dineerden we 2 keer bij Lorenzo Ruta. Er was een groot verschil tussen beide ervaringen. De eerste keer kozen we de 6-gangen degustatiemenu. De menu kondigde het zelf al aan: "Niets is wat het lijkt" en "Elk gerecht is onverwacht en oprecht", en daar is helemaal niets van gelogen. Ook de geserveerde aangepaste (Siciliaanse) wijnen waren top! Bij ons tweede bezoek kozen we voor de 'Tradizione' 4-gangen menu. Hier wordt aangekondigd dat dit menu het verhaal van Modica (de stad vlakbij) aan de hand van locale gerechten vertelt. Dit was ook wel lekker, maar minder naar onze smaak. Wat ons betrof kwam dit niet tot aan de enkels van onze eerste ervaring. Anderzijds kan over smaken en kleuren kan niet gediscussieerd worden. De bijgeschonken wijnen waren wel weer voortreffelijk! Het restaurant en het terras zijn zeer mooi en modern. Het personeel is vriendelijk (al zagen wij dat ze hun frustratie over een andere aanwezige en blijkbaar veeleisende klant niet konden verbergen), maar een groot gebrek is wel de kennis van het Engels (of een andere taal buiten het Italiaans).

13/06/2024: Un esperienza unica, non si può parlare di una cena ma piuttosto di un percorso di sapori inaspettati, ingredienti di altissima qualità lavorati con maestria. Locale molto curato, servizio eccellente, gentilezza simpatia e professionalità.

Ho preso una grigliata di pesce, arrivata dopo quasi un'ora d'attesa e assolutamente mediocre. Pesce spada colloso, totano crudo...insomma, non ci siamo proprio. Peccato veramente

19/08/2024: We had very high expectations as we made a careful choice before choosing this place. We wanted to try the typical street food for dinner, which we weren't able to do since everything was already finished at 8.30pm and we announced that we wouldn't find anything else. We opted for some arancine and some rotisserie pieces which did not respect the indicated ingredients in the slightest, alas. Furthermore, it would be advisable to follow the present "queue"; would help you with all orders. The owner was not very nice towards us only because we highlighted the "queue skipper" before our eyes, receiving a response like: "You have to deal with the queue, they are girls and they go first". And I'm a girl, at this point, he had to respect this "law" with me too. Accuracy towards the customer must never be forgotten!

28/09/2024: Absolutely stunning dinner last night with my wife. We had a shorter version of a tasting menu and really should have gone with the longer one, since every dish was so beautiful, creative, thoughtful and delicious. Service was just as fantastic as well, our server recommended a phenomenal wine that we absolutely fall in loved with and would never discover otherwise. You should definitely go and eat here. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was absolutely one of our favorite meals we had in Sicily.

10/09/2024: Amazing food, lovely ambiance and great service. This is a fine dining restaurant working with fresh local ingredients. They even make the limoncello with the lemons they grow! The pasta with bottarga and teh rissotto with prawns were incredible, the Olive Oil they served with bread is the best that I think I will ever try. I would order mostly pasta dishes as opposed to their standalone fresh fish just because the pasta plates are a true standout. Recommended 200%
