07/03/2025: Entering Casa Macè means immersing yourself in a happy island, a place where the daily routine dissolves and you are welcomed with warmth and kindness. The atmosphere is enchanting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a break from your busy life. A strong point of the venue is certainly the DJ service, which offers particular attention to detail and availability that makes every customer feel special. I highly recommend visiting the place on Fridays, when you can taste some of its most popular specialties. If you are looking for a place to spend quality time, Casa Macè is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return!

18/05/2025: Good pizzas. Service a bit confusing but good. On the other hand, Saturday night is never the right night to evaluate a restaurant. We will be back to try the couscous.

18/05/2025: If you enjoy waiting over an hour come here! The slowest customer service The mackerel was amazing apart from that we waiter almost an hour to be served and were ignored. The owner needs help and is clearly understaffed. The waitress didn't acknowledge us and ignored us the service is very poor. Overall not a great restaurant.

16/05/2025: Very nice spritzeria! Ideal for a quick Aperol spritz after a long walk in the center of Palermo. The whole neighborhood (Kalsa) around this bar is interesting with nice options for food, drinks and souvenirs!

17/05/2025: Pizza is a food that I eat only once a week, but since I came to Italy, I ate countless pizzas for two weeks until I got sick of them. I started with the somewhat unfamiliar name of spicione. Spicione refers to sponge pizza, and it is an Italian name for the dough that is fluffy and thick like a sponge. It is not round but square-shaped, and it is characterized by its appearance similar to pizza bread. I arrived at a bakery slightly outside of downtown Palermo to eat spicione. I originally thought it was a pizza place, but it was a bakery that sold pizza, and it was busy with locals buying bread until late at night. You can choose other breads from the display case, and for pizza, there is a menu attached, so you can refer to it and order. When you order, they cut the pizza baked in a huge mold and heat it up once. The price for the two signature pizzas, spicione and Siciliana, and two bottles of beer was less than 10 euros. I was surprised at the cost-effectiveness and was impressed by the friendly staff. As I mentioned earlier, the pizza is square and cut into 8 pieces so that you can eat it one by one. The edges are baked crispy, similar to Detroit pizza, and the dough is focaccia, which is probably not Italian. As the name suggests, Siciliana contains ingredients from Sicily. Instead of tomato paste, it is topped with a lot of herbs, finely chopped cherry tomatoes, caccicavallo cheese, anchovies, and onions. Since the dough is thick, the taste of the ingredients should be absorbed into the dough, but the texture of the dough was moist as if it was soaked in water, so it wasn't like that at all. The savory taste of the cheese, anchovies, and onions were also well-infused into the dough. The spiciness of the spiciness was much heavier than that of the Siciliana because it was based on tomato paste. The ingredients felt like they had completely soaked into the dough, and the saltier taste went well with beer.​ Personally, I don't think that Spinchione surpasses Neapolitan pizza because my taste for pizza is so strong. However, it was definitely delicious, and considering the price, I want to eat it more often than Neapolitan pizza.

17/05/2025: While waiting for the afternoon opening of my travel and life companion's art group show, we stopped at this place near the Statue of Liberty, which is much more than just a bakery: it also includes a bar and a restaurant. We were in a hurry, but we couldn't resist tasting some excellent anelletti al forno and an irresistible sfincione palermitano. We finished with an excellent coffee, in a pleasant and original location. If you have more time, it's really worth stopping calmly and enjoying everything.

02/05/2025: The best cannoli I had in Cefalu, or in all of Sicily... An older man is watching, and from here on, the level of confidence increases... That size costs 2.7 euros, and right next to the cannoli they also sell something like cheese bread, but it's a shame I couldn't eat that. It's close to the bus stop, so be sure to visit at break time. Absolutely recommended! No regrets!

07/05/2025: We went there and from the start, at the opening hour, the waiter told us that we have to wait 20 minutes for him to serve us because they had only one big table with a guide. What kind of restaurant are you if you cannot handle your costumers and you have not even half of restaurant full? Anyway we said okay and when the food arrived the order was wrong, waiter brought me something else. He proposed to me to leave it like this and it will be cheaper. Okay. After I've started to eat the fish was cooked uneven and a piece of it was even raw, he took it gave to the cook who just threw it in a pan, mixed it and the brought it to me overcooked. Unacceptable behaviour from the type of restaurant they want to be. Horrible service, not so special food, expensive prices.

07/05/2025: We went to Sardina Pasta Bar last summer and had a wonderful meal. A Pasta with red prawn tartare which was excellent in terms of balance of flavors and remarkable from the point of view of quantity. We left satisfied in body and spirit

25/05/2025: What a precious discovery this place was. Taking advantage of the warm evening, we chose to dine in the garden, really cute. The staff welcomed us very well and was present and helpful. The food was really excellent (be careful especially with the chickpea hummus with eggplant meatballs: it can be addictive), as well as the cocktails. We will definitely be back!

13/05/2025: Really loved the meal we had here, we were given great advice on wine pairing and the service was excellent. I held back from five stars because the prices were a little high compared to comparable restaurants, and the cocktails weren’t quite the same standard as everything else. However given the popularity of the establishment you can see why that is the case.
