07/10/2025: Well...my friends reading this, my expectations were high, in the sense that when they tell you about a gourmet restaurant, you don't just expect a beautiful plating but something more. Punta Lena is a charming restaurant, nothing extraordinary, right on the sea. Perhaps the downside was that when we went for dinner, it was already dark, and we couldn't tell we were right next to the sea. In any case, the dishes were well-cooked, but like pretty much everywhere else in Stromboli. It didn't stand out compared to the rest in terms of food quality. One flaw I absolutely didn't expect was the peppered mussels, which were so salty it tasted like seawater. And we Sicilians know how to cook mussels...when we pointed this out, we were simply told: oh...strange... Anyway, my calamari was good, but it was frozen. Maybe it's because I'm used to eating fresh fish; I can tell right away. The flavor was very good, anyway. That said, I can't give more stars because, guys, it's truly impossible to mess up a Pepata... The prices are truly outrageous for the type of food.

27/01/2026: We were cheated in the middle of the day, simply because we were tourists. They added three dishes to the bill right in front of us, even though we only ordered two. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

17/10/2025: Very good restaurant. Chef Giuseppe explained us every meal in detail. They use local ingredients and everything was so delicious.

06/10/2025: We arrived around 9:15 pm and were greeted very coldly, feeling like we were intruding. We couldn't get a menu: we were simply told that there were only a few glasses of wine, beer, or cocktails left. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine... the latter was clearly a leftover bottle with a deposit, charged at €10 per glass. There was no opportunity for a snack, and the waiter stayed behind the bar on his phone, apparently waiting for us to leave to join his friends in the neighboring restaurant. A truly disappointing experience, to be avoided.

29/01/2026: Both Asian and Italian food are good.

17/01/2026: Prices have increased, quality has improved slightly, but selection is limited compared to before. The canteen-style layout is definitely better, so the locals avoid handling the food, which will be picked up by those who serve themselves after them. Update 2024: The restaurant has truly lost much of its original charm. I will never return; it's very dirty and the food is poor quality. *Update 2026* The cleanliness of the premises has improved, but the attention to the plates displayed for diners to use has been somewhat less so. A general overhaul is definitely needed, especially regarding the bathroom doors. The quality of the food and preparation has improved. I didn't like the sushi, which I found too large for the quantity of each piece, and I didn't like the grilled shrimp because they arrived with the casing still inside. The other dishes were good overall, especially the desserts. One star increase.

12/10/2025: Came twice, was closed even when it showed it was open on google. Very disapointing

20/09/2025: Like everything on the island, it's rather expensive. The salad was very good. The pistachio cookies were a bit dry. Friendly service. Good outdoor seating. Large selection of dishes and breads.

17/09/2025: We found this pizzeria practically by accident while we were on our way somewhere else. It was a Thursday evening, completely deserted, but we were in a hurry and went in. The pizza and sangria were really good. The sangria was better than the ones we drank last year in both Barcelona and Valencia. Honestly, we were surprised there was no one there; back in Veneto, it would always be crowded. What can I say? Move to our place, you won't regret it; stop trying to make ends meet in Messina.

12/08/2025: Nothing to say. Everything was perfect. They seated us, despite the late hour, welcoming us with great courtesy and kindness. All the dishes served were excellent and carefully prepared. Honorable mention for the lobster sauce: special.

09/08/2025: Attention to detail, dishes carefully crafted and executed to perfection. Superb wait staff. Everything was delicious, from appetizers to dessert. Compliments to the entire staff!

11/08/2025: Simply... spectacular granita! Nothing else needs to be said. Delicious. The end.

08/08/2025: What can I say? I went there with a friend and we ate a series of unpleasant fish dishes, each one better than the last, accompanied by an excellent local wine. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was very popular.

30/10/2025: Authentic, traditional Italian cuisine. Matheo has been running the place for over 50 years. It's well worth the experience. I highly recommend it.

27/09/2025: It's a nice place because it's on the beach, and the food is decent, though a bit too much octopus and a bit too much pasta. :)). Overall, very pleasant.

21/09/2025: We had the pleasure of being guests of some very dear friends who decided to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at this venue. We were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 7:15 pm and asked the waiter (a tall, thin guy with black hair and glasses) when they close. He said 7:30 pm, which we knew wasn't true. He then said he doesn't understand Italian, so I spoke English to him. Then he said he didn't understand English. He hands me his phone with Google Translate, and it was "English to Italian." He was clearly jerking me around and didn't want to serve us. This was petty and childish. I don't think I've ever been more offended than this experience! We were recommended this place by the owner of a sweet shop down the street. We arrived at 7:15 pm and asked the waiter (a tall, thin guy with black hair and glasses) what time they close. He said 7:30 pm, which we knew wasn't true. Then he said he didn't understand Italian, so I spoke to him in English. Then he said he didn't understand English. 14/10/2025: This has to be one of the best Bars in Salina. A MUST GO!!!! Emiliana, Christopher, Bartallo & Fedarica could not have been more accommodating to all our drinking and food needs. In a month that I stayed in Salina I went there almost everyday. The atmosphere was exactly what you want while you're on vacation in summer. I LOVED IT!!!!!

21/03/2026: The girl at the entrance was very rude and unsuitable for working with the public. The beers arrived 40 minutes after ordering, and the meat was cold. Rating: 0

14/03/2026: Terrible service. You call in the morning to reserve a table for 8:30 PM. We show up at 8:45 PM and the table was already taken because we were "10 minutes late"... so I wonder why they make reservations? Tolerance is appreciated, but if it were an excessive delay, losing a table for being 10 minutes late... the time it takes to find a parking spot seems pretty ridiculous to me. Respect for customers is below zero... I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Service and respect for the customer come before the quality of the food. Their reliability is truly precarious.
