18/08/2025: I received a review notice from my daughter for the best Pasta alla Norma I've ever eaten. I, who am the father and have been cooking for 40 years, was put aside by her for telling me that this one she ate was better than mine at least 10 times. Does that mean I'm a bad cook? No, it's simply because La Scala makes an exceptional Pasta alla Norma and I know my daughter is a great foodie! Thanks guys, my little girl is happy tonight! I'll come visit you as soon as possible.

07/09/2025: Excellent. The property is fully equipped with everything you need: cozy rooms, a pool, loungers, outdoor tables, and it's beachfront with convenient access to the sea. The owners are excellent hosts and champions of hospitality. Super

03/09/2025: A quiet, pleasant, and very well-maintained place, just a few meters from the sea, with a beautiful, comfortable pool and even a soccer field. Easily accessible from the ME-PA highway (S. Agata di Militello exit). The room and bathroom were spotless. But above all, the kind hospitality and helpfulness of the managers, Nino and Valeria, are always ready to accommodate guests' needs. A heartfelt thank you to them.

22/08/2025: At Silvia's you rediscover that combination of smells and flavors of childhood, you come in and you want to taste with your eyes and heart, the excellent appetizer and the first and second courses expertly seasoned with excellent raw ingredients and the aroma of basil, mint, oregano and basil the homemade bread of Castelmola. Only Applause!

28/07/2025: The waitresses are embarrassing to say the least. I waited over 40 minutes because of a mistake in the name of an order placed over the phone! They were the only ready-made savoury items on the table, but unfortunately, the girls had zero professionalism. Instead of explaining, they just laughed, and didn't even apologize for the misunderstanding. The food was already cold, and I left it half-eaten! Kudos to the owner! What a shame!

15/09/2025: We stumbled upon this lovely place in a side alley off of the main drag in Taormina. The food was amazing. The braised beef melted in your mouth. A hidden gem!

02/09/2025: Located away from the crowd we though we found the perfect place for dinner. Little did we (me, my wife and daughters) know that we weren't welcome. With several tables outside free we asked the waiter for one. That's when the "big" guy told the waiter, in Italian, that "they(!) can only get a table inside". So all of a sudden all tables outside was reserved. What he didn't know was my wife speaks Italian, so she heard it all. Discrimination is ugly. Stay away from this place, at least if you planned to bring your kids.

08/09/2025: A cold and distant welcome. I arrived without a reservation, as did many others. The back room was almost empty, except for three tables. The head waiter directed me to sit at the worst table, next to the kitchen display case. The waitress couldn't tell me how the pork knuckle was cooked; another person in shorts and a T-shirt said "roast." That's all, without any further elaboration. In fact, the knuckle is the kind of meat they buy already semi-smoked and pre-cooked. Their addition is reheated... but poorly, in fact, still cold inside, and a sauce made from white wine that hadn't evaporated, resulting in an acidic result. The potatoes that should have been served with the knuckle didn't arrive at the same time, but I had to ask for them. I couldn't eat this dinner; I left everything on my plate, even the undrinkable wine. I paid, and was never asked for anything. This isn't a steak house, but not even close, and the service certainly isn't respectful.

22/08/2025: No go! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, we received very dirty and smeared water glasses and had to ask the team for new ones (shouldn't something like that be noticed automatically?). The menu lists four beers, but only the Pilsner was available. It was bland and boring, still cold, but €7 for 0.4 liters. We ordered Angus steak and the only chicken dish on the menu. We waited 45 minutes for the food. The Angus was streaky and mediocre, definitely not worth the €20. The chicken was half a bird, but undercooked and bloody when first cut. Completely unexpected and not what we would expect from a chicken dish in an upscale restaurant. It also tasted bland. The side fries were very small and unseasoned. When we asked the waiters for a discount on the chicken when paying, they gave us €3 off the entire €73 bill. Such a response is neither professional nor customer-oriented. In short, a poor restaurant with little professionalism and high prices.

23/06/2025: Terrible experience: DO NOT go if you have a dog! Despite the modest setting with village festival-style furnishings, the father or father-in-law (I didn't quite understand) of the lady who seated us railed against us, yelling at her to throw us out. He then accompanied with curses the exit of another couple who had a dog with them. I specify that both ours and the other were small and extremely well-behaved. We took a pizza, honestly of decent quality, only out of respect for the aforementioned lady. I specify that at the entrance there is a sign indicating the prohibition of smoking, but no prohibition of access to dogs

19/01/2025: Dopo aver aspettato per più di un'ora mi è stata servita degli arancini surgelati riscaldati e una pizza mediocre, con indifferenza. Brolo può fare molto meglio.

07/09/2025: The food quality is good, but you can't leave an entire room to just one person to serve all the tables. Besides, the poor guy was running around doing what he could... a disservice that kills everything else... hire more staff, since the food is good!

31/08/2025: Great local place for good pizza and popular Sicilian delicacies. Very reasonably priced. This place has been around for many years. If you want to support local businesses grab a pizza or dinner here!

17/08/2025: Definitely worth trying the house appetizer! Good selection of pizzas (although a little overcooked), as well as first and second courses. Recommended (In our case, the wait was incredibly long.)

08/05/2025: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, perhaps the prawns and squid were missing, but they were excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps the fish starter should be revisited, lacking, all in all a place worth trying, lastly, what is quite important, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food is Compensa. It has now closed permanently for several months.

29/04/2025: Siamo stati in questa pizzeria per una serata tra amici, attratti dall'offerta del giro pizza con bevande a volontà, e ne siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti! Il servizio è stato veloce e cortese, il personale sempre disponibile a portarci nuove varietà di pizza, tutte calde e ben farcite. Le pizze erano gustose e ben cotte, con un impasto leggero e digeribile. Ampia la scelta dei gusti: dalle classiche alle più fantasiose, ce n’era per tutti i palati. Le bevande, comprese nell'offerta, venivano servite senza lesinare, un plus non da poco! Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, ideale per gruppi numerosi e serate informali. Torneremo sicuramente!
