08/06/2025: I am returning to Messina for the first time after changing my diet, dinner booked at the last minute to share a moment with friends I rarely see. Already on the phone you could feel the courtesy, we were informed that it was possible to change several items on the menu to make them vegan, they also told us that by booking in advance they can also offer more things, including a mixed appetizer that I will definitely try next time. Fast service, dishes rich in flavor, I felt at home. Even the people who were with me at the table and who instead ordered seafood first and second courses, found the dishes delicious and perceived the quality and freshness of the raw materials, among other things local. I think it will become a fixed stop every time I return on vacation to Messina. Congratulations indeed and thank you 🙏🏻

21/06/2025: To say excellent is to say the least!!! Too bad you can't give more than 5 stars. I would start with the people and the owners...excellent service, fast and friendly. I had a medium-rare cut of meat, truly exceptional, as they say "it melted in your mouth". The pizza and fish were also exceptional, which I had the pleasure of tasting on several occasions. Would I recommend it to you? With my eyes closed.

19/06/2025: Unfortunately, we didn't feel so comfortable at dinner. The terrace is super nice, but the service was a bit chaotic, and the food unfortunately fell short of expectations. It wasn't a big deal, but the bacon was soft, not crispy as advertised; the steak had many inedible pieces on it, and the pasta was very al dente. Dessert was supposed to be ice cream for the kids, but the employee unfortunately made no effort to explain what was in the flavor, which we couldn't imagine (our Italian is good enough to understand it in Italian – if someone explained it...). Unfortunately, we wouldn't come back.

13/04/2025: Sempre scelta giusta a coglienza magnifica il cibo non delude mai, tranne per qualche ripetizione sul menu ( sarò sfortunata ma trovo spesso gli stessi piatti) e questa cosa non è degna di un ottimo ristorante come modi cerca di orientarsi...delusa sul caluce di vino molto caro e sempre in minore quantità, se siete bevitori meglio prendere una bottiglia...degna di nota la pagnotta al lievito madre superlativa...la merita del dolce che ho preso dovrebbe essere più montata

06/04/2025: Situé en périphérie de Torregrotta et en hauteur, l'accueil est souriant et chaleureux, le cadre d'une blancheur éclatante (murs et nappes), la vaisselle moderne comme il se doit, le service est discret, efficace et toujours souriant. L'essentiel est dans l'assiette. Un régal pour les yeux d'abord : dressage impeccable, avec touche finale à table. Un florilège de saveurs ensuite : mise en valeur des produits locaux, mais aussi ajout d'épices ou de compléments venus d'ailleurs, réalisant un mariage harmonieux. Une mention particulière pour la "fausse olive", servie avec les mignardises de bienvenue, et qui vaut le détour à elle seule. J'ai opté pour le menu dégustation à 7 plats : un rapport qualité-prix tout à fait raisonnable.

29/07/2025: This cute little cafe has a very good gelato selection. We have already been twice on our holiday, and I will certainly be pushing my missus for another couple of visits. The gelato is amazing - so refreshing and flavoursome. It won’t be the baggage allowance that I’ll have to worry about flying home - it’ll be squeezing through the plane’s door!

16/07/2025: Very nice owners and courteous staff.....we had starter, main course and local Amaro for dessert😎 We have been living in Sicily for 4 years and I can only recommend this restaurant

11/08/2025: My wife and I were curious about this little restaurant on the stairs, and on our last night in Taormina we decided to try it out. We were really amazed at how safe the setup felt when we got seated. It had looked precarious, but it was fine. The food turned out to be some of the best we had throughout the city. My wife got a salmon lasagna of sorts, which sounded like a risky move. But she loved it, and the waiter was amazingly kind.

06/08/2025: It's a very cute and quaint place. The seafood appetizer was delicious, and the fish was fresh and very well cooked. The wine and service were also excellent. The staff was pleasant and friendly. A lovely evening, thank you.

12/08/2025: Nothing to say. Everything was perfect. They seated us, despite the late hour, welcoming us with great courtesy and kindness. All the dishes served were excellent and carefully prepared. Honorable mention for the lobster sauce: special.

24/04/2025: Il miglior cornetto e la migliore brioche col tuppo, secondo me, della provincia di Messina. Granita ottima, consiglio anche la sfogliatella alla ricotta. Top!

23/07/2025: Servizio inesistente hanno portato da bere dopo oltre 30 minuti dall'arrivo. Antipasti di cruditè di tonno e pesce spada alto 50 mm e privo di condimento alcuno ma In compenso le ostriche aperte da almeno 6 ore per favorire la tempistica assente del servizio sono condite con olio (terribile) comunque prontamente cambiate da uno dei due camerieri presenti in sala. Per correttezza gambero rosso e scapo (1) eccezionale. Primo di risotto all'aragosta vista con il binocolo ma in compenso con innumerevoli gamberi e soprattutto, udite udite amalgamata con un litro di panna (basterebbe scrivere riso in panna ed il problema sarebbe risolto.) spaghetti al pomodoro in bianco li rimando indietro per aver aggiunto del pomodoro che dovrebbe essere fresco ed invece si presenta da bottiglia con acidità corretta con bicarbonato ( lasciata intonza) I secondi consistevano in grigliata mista con pesce spada ultra congelato e vecchio (gusto amarissimo) e siamo nel periodo dello stesso figuriamoci in autunno cosa serviranno, frittura mista formato da congelato ( Franceschini e anelli di CAlamaro) a cui si aggiungono alcune Alice forse fresche. Vino ordinato nerello mascalese vinificato in bianco servito senza alcuna preparazione ( apertura sul nostro tavolo, nessun controllo olfattivo al tappo ne tantomeno assaggio) con il problema che fosse un vitigno Merlot come diversamente indicato in carta. Per finire il semifreddo di mandorle servito con il Topper al cioccolato senza averlo richiesto. Insomma chef anni 60 qualità della materia prima pessima e servizio inesistente per come detto composto da un cameriere ed un corsista per 60 coperti circa (poveretti raccogliere lamentele da tutti per portare il pane a casa non è da tutti). Conclusione scappate e andate altrove è meglio una pizza. Sono disponibile a rispondere direttamente anche al proprietario.

This morning I called Hotel il Gabbiano in Terme Vigliatore to make a reservation and was honestly very flattered and impressed by the kindness of Rosa at the front desk, who provided me with all the information I could with great professionalism. In fact, I booked both for the beautiful place, which I've already stayed at, and for Rosa's helpfulness and elegance!!! ... I wanted to thank the owners of the hotel for having such respectful and deserving people working with their guests. For this very reason, I was very happy to have chosen the best place and equally happy to find such exceptional people!!! Thank you so much, see you soon.

17/08/2025: Sweet little spot in a side street. Price is affordable and worth the money. Food is what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Full of flavours and nicely dressed. Bartenders are friendly and helpfull. See you tomorrow 🥰

12/07/2025: Sono stato per cena e l’esperienza è stata eccellente. Il cibo era molto buono, con pesce fresco e ben cucinato. Il personale è stato estremamente gentile, e in particolare il proprietario si è dimostrato davvero cordiale: ci ha consigliato con attenzione, aiutandoci a ordinare le giuste quantità senza esagerare. Un gesto raro e molto apprezzato. Anche i prezzi sono stati sorprendentemente bassi rispetto alla qualità offerta. Un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Tornerò sicuramente.

07/07/2025: Erano anni che avevamo deciso di non andare più a cenare in questo ristorante per la progressiva decadenza della qualità dei prodotti e della capacità di cucinare, purtroppo sperando che magari fosse migliorato abbiamo commesso l'errore di ritornarci. In pratica non hanno pesce fresco, solo surgelato che accompagnano con una salsa acidula che si ritrova quasi in tutti i piatti dagli spaghetti alla caponata di pesce e tutti gli antipasti come le cozze ripiene, sono dominate da questo sapore di pomodoro acido. gli involtini di pesce spada,senza pomodoro. erano secchi e poco saporiti ! Insomma una esperienza che potevamo benissimo evitare e che ha rovinato la serata. A fronte di un conto di 115 euro per 4 persone in pratica un antipasto e un piatto di portata a persona con un calice di vino e due bottigliette d'acqua!
