27/07/2024: When I'm in the area, this restaurant has been a regular stop for years. Over time I have seen the cuisine improve and the prices have been kept a little below the average for the area. Furthermore, the courtesy of the owners and all the staff is another plus. For example, last night, in addition to the friendly welcome, 15.00 euros were deducted from a bill of 200.00 euros and I was offered a digestive. In the five restaurants in which I had the opportunity to dine in recent days, restaurants of which I have been a customer for years, it was the only one in which I had this privilege. Recommended dishes: mussels au gratin, marinated anchovies, sliced ​​tuna, baked aubergine parmigiana, cheesecake, decomposed cannoli.

20/08/2024: Year 2022 Skipping the appetizers we enjoyed an excellent first course "pappardelle with mushrooms", although the house recommended one was linguine with hazelnuts and a second course of mixed meat. Reservations are recommended on Sundays. It's worth the road to get there! Really courteous staff. August 2024 I have often returned to this restaurant and I must reiterate that I have always had a good lunch or dinner. A few evenings ago we wanted to eat a pizza with friends and we stopped right in Ucria, welcomed by Lorella always with the usual cordiality and friendliness. We ate one from Messina and one from Naples: two masterpieces. It's been many years since I've tasted a pizza like this, well cooked with the right thickness and garnished in abundance so much so that it reminds me very much of the Neapolitan original purchased in my youth from the train window. Well done, you deserve the success you have among the restaurants in the area. I will return soon with my wife, children and grandchildren to enjoy another Messina experience.

05/08/2024: We stayed here for 5 wonderful nights in the height of summer as a family of 5. We all loved this hotel - it’s setting is stunning and it overlooks a private bay just along from Taormina beach. The hotel is literally carved out of the cliff face and the corridors of the hotel are hewn out of the rock itself giving it a magical feel. The rooms themselves are rustic but well appointed and pretty and our rooms on the 6th floor had stunning views across the bay from their balconies. The pool and beach area are beautifully kept and designed and we spend many sunny hours by the sea, on the comfortable chairs. The sea by the hotel is calm and crystal clear and you can snorkel around the area and watch the fish on shallow and deeper water. The staff here are all excellent and we felt very much looked after in every area - reception, the restaurants (also excellent, I will write a separate review), the bars and pool/beach area. The cable car to Taormina is close by and the easiest way to visit the town. The hotel can even provide tickets for the cash price. My only issue was the aircon in the room and in the gym. The room aircon can’t quite cope with the heat of the day stored in the rock of the room so it’s slightly too warm in the evening but plenty cool enough by the AM. And the aircon in the gym just can’t cope with the all glass construction so expect your work out to have stunning views but but be pretty hot and sweaty. It’s not cheap in any area but this is a stunning and original hotel with a wonderful staff and views to die for. Highly recommended.

18/08/2024: Nested on a hilltop with panoramic views the great news is it’s a traditional Sicilian style bed and breakfast complete with dinner and breakfast. First the room and facilities: There is two buildings and around 6-9 rooms in total. 3 rooms per floor in the first building with balcony and air con. There is a shared pool as well open from 0830-1900 Dinner is 25€ per person and featured pasta, beef, tapas, dessert and amazing home made red wine. Kids are 10€ The farm to table concept from jams to main courses was a nice touch. Getting there is an uphill drive and the property is fenced off. Staff is very welcoming and it feels like a family visit and stay.

10/08/2024: Kindness and availability, even if we arrived early, within a few minutes they made the room available to us. Excellent dinner with home-grown products as well as breakfast. Clean pool.

28/08/2024: I was disappointed even though I had heard good things about it. Very good raw food appetizer. First course with lobster, no lobster and overall it tasted anything but lobster, Second course, roasted octopus on creamed potatoes, not at all tasty Value for money Very expensive compared to what you eat.

07/08/2024: Characteristic place, from the outside it seems a bit shabby, but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. we were there this evening with the children, everything was really excellent, quality/price was normal, we had some stuffed sandwiches and some really good pizzas, the owner was friendly and very affable, his wife was very kind I highly recommend it

19/08/2024: Characteristic, well looked after, located in one of the alleys overlooking Corso di Taormina, romantic. Super friendly staff, even in front of foreign customers who feel like VIPs. For us, an excellent welcome and we particularly liked what we ate. Advised.

05/09/2024: Super recommended location in the municipality of Patti, a hamlet of Mongiove. Splendid beach on the slopes of Monte Giove with a view of the sea. You can enjoy typical local cuisine, but even more recommended to have a drink on warm summer evenings. Meeting point for tourists and local children and families. It is possible to enjoy an excellent aperitif while enjoying the sunset over the Aeolian Islands. Now a solid reality of Mongiovese entertainment. In August it often organizes some really nice themed evenings. Advised
