06/07/2026: My family went there for dinner tonight and had a wonderful experience. Dining at a restaurant isnt just about the food, which was perfection, but it's also about the service and the atmosphere and this place had it all. We really appreciated the hospitality of the owner Tony. We ordered the cacio e pepe pasta for my 12 year old daughter, sausage and potatoes for my 8 year old son and my husband and I shared the pasta carbonara and grilled meats. So far it's been the best dining experience. Our only complaint is that we didn't go sooner. Note that we are Canadian but my husband is Sicilian decent and knows Italian food:)

16/05/2026: It was recommended by our local host, Isabella. Casa Niclodi was easily the best meal of our entire trip—we’re still talking about it days later. Every dish was incredible, and you can really feel the care behind the food. The service made it even better—so warm, genuine, and attentive without being over the top. It just felt special from start to finish. Don’t miss this place.

17/05/2026: Everything was very good, the place was also beautiful. It's a shame that the cashier is a nice lady, but she has an angry, unsociable face. The waiters, on the other hand, were very nice.

11/07/2026: Excellent food! We had the octopus and breaded squid, and the casarecce pasta with anchovies for our first course, and everything was excellent! Fresh, tender fish. A menu with a wide selection, close to the Marina Corta square. Highly recommended.

After a visit to Tindari, our next stop is San Piero Patti, a village surrounded by green hazelnut groves. Here, you'll find Luciana's trattoria, where the warm welcome, friendly service, and authentic, affordable food offer a truly memorable dining experience.

01/01/2026: A memorable December 31st: we ate outside even though it was raining, warmed by blankets, the fire, and above all by the attentive staff who pampered us until the very end. Jacqueline was an excellent hostess.

21/12/2025: What an experience ! Fantastic apetizer (sardinas fried to perfection with a simple home made mayonaise) and ensalata de bacalao with grapefruit and olives. My taste sense just exploded. Luckily there was a glass of the finest sauvignon to help getting back to earth 🙈😇. Delicious it was. Thank you very much.

21/03/2026: A charming and quaint place, attentive staff, and good food, all in the village of Milazzo... A welcoming and informal place. The only drawback is the parking, but you know, in certain places, that's quite obvious... But you can still park about 300 meters from the restaurant near the church of San Francesco da Paola. I'm not giving the food a 5⭐ just because I have to try other dishes first, but what we tasted was undoubtedly excellent quality. See you soon.

The service was pleasant, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal, yet not intrusive. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, perfect for a quiet meal. Everything ran smoothly, without long waits. It's not a fancy place, but it exudes care and expertise. I left satisfied and with an overall very positive impression.

07/05/2026: We had a horrible experience at the restaurant. I went to Castelmola many times and everywhere people were friendly. Elena, our server was annoyed just by the fact we entered with 3 children. The place was quiet and I said we're going to sit at the last table outside just to make sure children won't bother anyone. The question 'What do you want?' is unacceptable even if English isn't the first language for someone, but she asked also in Italian : Cosa volete?! in a hurry like we were on her way in a quiet place.... My 4 years old daughter was tired so she lifted up the plastic table cover and I told her to put it down. Elena in the other hand has told her off; stop it! Now your family can't eat here because of you!!! She looked at her so badly even though she stopped when I asked her to sit still. The pizza Margherita was okay and the 2 aperols as well, but the service....never again. My card didn't work contactless and she kept shouting it's NEGATIVE PAYMENT, NEGATIVE NEGATIVE....I said we can insert the the card of course and then it worked....never again, never!!!! Elena, educate yourself!!!

15/06/2026: The food is good quality, especially the appetizers. While the meat is the same as elsewhere. What I must highlight, however, is the price. For two appetizers, one grilled meat, two slices of horse meat, house wine, and two desserts with one bottle of mineral water, we spent €74, which, in my opinion, is excessive for a restaurant that's out of the way and on a terrible road. You can get some lavish meals for less. (See, for example, the Borrelli brothers in Ucria.)

24/07/2026: The restaurant has been recommended by our hotel, so we decided to give a try. We had octopus, beef and tuna tataki, and I have to honestly say, that the food is amaizing out there. They claim to have Michelin 2021 recommendation, but the food is just great! All prepared with very high quality. The only minus is for interior design that is not matching the quality of the food.

24/07/2026: A truly exceptional restaurant with impressively delicious food and good house wine. The only thing that took me by surprise was the bill, as I was charged for ‘Restaurazione’, which I may have mistaken for a tip. I’d appreciate some clarification!

23/06/2026: The best of the best for stockfish, as they call it here. For years, I've wondered why cod is so popular in Messina, given the abundance of fresh local fish. In any case, this humble fish becomes pure poetry at Nino's. The special menu is highly recommended, even if you're already full after halfway through. Open only for lunch, reservations recommended. The head waiter, a local institution, is also top-notch. I wonder if he's co-owner, given the passion he puts into it.
