La Scala In Caltagirone

This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.

We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive! We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

We had guests on vacation, and after visiting the Christmas markets, we headed for the stairs. They say that once the climb is up, it's all downhill, and to reward our guests for climbing the stairs, we stopped for dinner right here! Denise greeted us at the entrance and immediately made us feel at home. The place was warm and had a very quaint atmosphere. We ordered Sicilian-style appetizers to share, and then ordered pizzas! The dough was incredibly soft, and all of them, according to the guests, were delicious! At the end of dinner, we had the opportunity to meet the owner, Rosario, a very kind man, who explained to us how the teamwork at his restaurant makes his employees feel at home—and, we can confirm, his guests too!
