01/11/2025: Fantastic location, breathtaking views of the Santa Maria Navarrese marina. The table setting is well-designed and appropriate for the type of restaurant. It's a shame about the constant and annoying presence of bees, but that's not the restaurant's fault; in fact, they've used natural remedies to try to limit their presence (a gesture much appreciated). For appetizers, we had BBQ octopus with potato and turmeric cream and cuttlefish fillet with pea cream. Both dishes were spectacular, perhaps this raised our expectations, which were then dashed by the first courses. Pink sea bream tortello with truffle. The truffle flavor was nonexistent. I doubt the tortello was made with fresh pasta, and the filling was absolutely tasteless. Served with a broth that contained only the oil floating on the surface. The most expensive dish on the menu (€24), I was deeply disappointed by it—a shame, because I had very high expectations. Gnocchi with clams and bottarga was a complete failure, perhaps a bad night for a first course. The gnocchi were cooked beyond the allotted time and were completely tasteless. I don't know how that's possible, given that bottarga is supposed to dominate a dish like this. They were served very watery and so disjointed from the rest that my companion didn't finish her plate. A real shame. Apart from the ice cream for dessert, it's unthinkable to have only one option for people who can't eat nuts. The sorbet and cheesecake, however, were very good!

27/10/2025: What a wonderful view, service, kindness! I was delighted with everything even though we came during siesta and only the bar was open. We had a glass of excellent wine and they brought us wonderful bruschetta! We will come again for dinner!

09/07/2025: Locanda est situé dans l’un des plus beaux villages italiens que j’aie jamais vu, l’accueil de la famille est tout simplement phénoménal, prenez le temps de discuter avec le patron, quel bonheur. Et le soir, nous avons mangé dans leur restaurant, c’est le fils qui est le chef. On est proche de la haute gastronomie. 6 étoiles

15/10/2025: Very warm welcome from the gentleman, we were advised to come to this place. The food is excellent, the wines too. However, we were then served by a lady who was not very attentive and ultimately not friendly at all and inattentive. Too bad!

08/12/2025: Spectacular. From appetizers to main courses to dessert. Everything was carefully thought out; not your typical "tourist" restaurant, but a restaurant with attention to detail, including the ambiance and staff. We'll definitely be back ❤️

10/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato ieri in questo ristorante in occasione del mio compleanno, posto tranquillo con tavoli su un prato curatissimo. Cibo semplicemente sublime, dagli antipasti di mare, buonissimi, alla fregola con pesce davvero squisita. Un posto che merita un'altra esperienza (già prenotata per il mio onomastico il 13 p.v.)- Personale gentile, cortese e sorridente e molto attento. Prezzi per una cena a base di pesce assolutamente in linea.

27/05/2025: Bella struttura immersa nel verde, giardino ampio e molto curato. Accoglienza molto cordiale da parte dell' esuberante e simpaticissimo Giuseppe. Abbiamo scelto la fregola ai frutti di mare preceduta, come da suggerimento di Giuseppe, da un piccolo antipasto, cozze gratinate, che abbiamo condiviso. La fregola è di fatto un piatto unico, molto abbondante e molto ricco di pesce, astice compreso. Come dessert una seadas con miele e un semifreddo. Vermentino della casa molto buono, mirto e limoncello ci sono stati offerti. Esperienza molto positiva, prezzo corretto. Torneremo per un menù di terra! Un sentito grazie a Giuseppe e complimenti al cuoco! .

21/10/2025: I can't help but write this review to express my disappointment at the shameful treatment we received at the pizzeria "Lo Zodiaco" in Cagliari. We booked for 9:00 PM, but the lady on the phone, in an arrogant and annoyed tone, imposed that the latest time for reservations was 8:30 PM. We arrived promptly, and the same lady greeted us with unjustified anger, accusing us of not having confirmed whether we wanted an inside or outside table. But beware, it was she who told us the table would be inside, and that the outside was only available if the weather was good! Once we were seated, the service was embarrassing: no one approached us to even ask "What are you drinking?", while the owner enjoyed exchanging jokes with everyone at the table except ours. When the waiter finally came to take our order, he had the audacity to make unpleasant jokes about one of our fellow diners' pizza preferences. A reputable restaurant never judges its customers' tastes, but here we were treated like poor "beggars" who had no right to choose what to eat, even though the menu allowed additions. The drinks? Obviously wrong. The pizza, fortunately, was very good, but that doesn't justify such disastrous service. And to top it off, while we were eating, people were arriving well after 8:30 PM, the "maximum" time for reservations. The icing on the cake: at 11:00 PM, while we were paying, we found ourselves with a newly seated table of at least 15 people! So, the rules only applied to us? Not only did they not ask us if we wanted a dessert or a liqueur, but we were practically ignored throughout the entire dinner. After such treatment, we stood up, paid, and left, quite annoyed. If this is the kind of welcome Cagliari wants to offer tourists, then the owners should reconsider their profession. A restaurant that treats its customers like we do doesn't deserve to survive. If they can't manage a pizzeria with a minimum of decency and professionalism, they'd do well to change careers.

19/10/2025: A place in the center of Cagliari that's run in the worst possible way. Zodiaco has a gorgeous courtyard and the pizzas are good, but that doesn't make up for the rudeness and total lack of attention from the lady who runs it. I made a reservation on Thursday for Saturday evening, asking for a table outside if possible. The lady on the phone said they would reserve a table inside, but if the weather was good, they would put us outside. I asked if it was possible to reserve for 9:00 PM, and in an annoyed tone, the lady replied that the latest time for reservations is 8:30 PM. I should point out that for the occasion, I wanted to take a friend who lives abroad to a place I thought was good, as well as celebrate a friend's birthday. Upon arrival, I assume the same person I spoke to on the phone greeted us, accusing us of not having confirmed whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. We tried to clarify, since she didn't tell me on the phone that we should confirm, but simply that weather permitting, she'd seat us outside. She accused us again of fighting her "four against one." From there, we realized that responding would be pointless given the attitude of the person in front of us, and the atmosphere became tense. Sitting outside, for over half an hour, no one deigned to even come over to ask if we wanted water. We tried calling the waiters several times, but they ignored us as if we were invisible and as if they'd been asked. Only after a long wait did one of them, kind and helpful, approach us and tell us they were waiting for the seventh person we'd reserved for, and we were finally able to explain that they wouldn't be coming. We ordered and ate a good pizza, but no one came back to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee, while they were arriving at the other tables. A lack of attention so marked it seemed intentional. Obviously, we decided to leave (and never set foot in there again). A courtyard that could be a strong point becomes a sad backdrop for service that makes it perfectly understandable why, on a Saturday night, the place was half empty. I note that other reviews also mentioned similar issues. Never again!

18/10/2025: Our son was here with his girlfriend in 2018. He recommended the restaurant to us with roughly these words: "It looks pretty run-down. Downstairs, a long counter where the village men with their faces are hanging around. Upstairs, a surprisingly nice terrace. But the food is really good and the people are really nice. We were truly spoiled. If you pass by, go for it." Well, we passed by yesterday, October 17, 2025. I wrote to our son: "They must have invested heavily. The restaurant is top-notch. The village men have also changed or are hanging around somewhere else. But two things have remained the same: The food is among the best we've had in Sardinia. Gnocchi with goat ragu and polpette, also made with goat, on a bean purée. Sensational. And the owner and his son were great. Thanks for the recommendation." We recommend this restaurant. For the hearty cuisine. Because of the warmth of the owner family. Grazie mille.

08/12/2025: We had dinner here one evening in late June as a couple. We had a plate of culurgiones with butter and sage, which were truly delicious, and a pizza capricciosa for my husband. I don't usually order pizza on vacation because I have rather high standards, but here it was so good that, which is unusual for us, I wanted to come back the next evening to try one. The staff is large and attentive. We especially thank Laura, who made us change seats midway through dinner so we could watch the European Championship match, and the bartender who rushed our order! In short, if you're in Stintino, don't worry—you'll have a great time, both for the food and the excellent service!

24/10/2025: Wonderful restaurant! The pizza is out of this world! Every meal we had here was delicious and the service was excellent. Friendly and welcoming. We were there somewhat off season, but many people still came from other towns and the restaurant still had good business. I highly recommend this place.

07/10/2025: Well, what can I say! We spent a wonderful family evening in this wonderful, yet familiar place. We've known Filippo for many years now, and he never disappoints! Friendliness, kindness, and great professionalism...number 1! The best in Stintino...delicious food and great customer service. When we decide to spend a carefree evening and eat well, the sarago is always our first choice...thank you so much, and see you soon!

13/10/2025: Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations: the two of us ordered two appetizers (octopus salad and Catalan-style shrimp) and a "superior" (?) fried fish. They assured us they used only fresh products, so I won't contradict them. I will say, however, that the taste, on the palate, was that of frozen products, and not even prime quality. Several dishes on the menu were unavailable. The atmosphere was surreal: Friday evening (October 3rd), 9 pm, with Carloforte full, we were the only two tables for the entire dinner. Important fact: €97 for two appetizers, a main course, a still wine, and two glasses of white wine. Something to reconsider...

22/09/2025: If you like white, clinical and an atmosphere of a mortuary, than, yes you'll like this place. The food is good but one dish called something like culurgiones (with is something like ravioli) looks ridiculous with 4 little tiny things on a big plate and it would be just enough to fill a mouse. The staff are uninterested to speak to the customer cold and unwelcoming.

18/09/2025: If you’re visiting the area, This is a must stop. The food is impeccable! Fresh, tasty - the best of Italian. The staff is super friendly and the venue cosy.

04/11/2025: This was my first time here, and I can say it's a standard trattoria with average food and service that could be improved. The daily menu, including a first course and second course with a side dish and a bottle of still water, costs €15.

23/10/2025: I waited a bit for it to cool down before leaving this review, but my thoughts remain the same. The only thing I'd save about the place is a young waiter, whose manner was so kind that it completely contrasted with everything else. We were invited to this pizzeria by loyal customers who were confident they'd make a good impression. It was one of those occasions where two families meet and, because they want everything to go well, they choose the place they think is most reliable. It was a total disaster. The order was taken after at least half an hour and after a table that had filled up shortly after ours, and so far, never mind, it can happen... but waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes for 13 pizzas seems excessive to me, especially if you booked well in advance. All this without even apologizing, except at the end, after being rude and having snapped quite abruptly. I also understand that there may be problems in the kitchen, but we kept seeing takeout pizzas leaving the restaurant, and they even went so far as to serve the tables of people who had arrived after us (whose orders may have been taken first, but they still arrived after us). In short, at a certain point, we all felt cheated (almost two hours had passed, they'd served the table behind ours, and sent out I don't know how many takeout pizzas), so we tried to leave, only for the lady at the cash register to start ranting, claiming that the 13 pizzas were in the oven and that our behavior was essentially unfair. Note: during these almost two hours, we repeatedly asked where these pizzas had ended up, but anyone who asked was sent back to their table without much explanation. They just brought drinks and chips to nibble on during the interminable wait. I pointed out to the waiter that the table that had been served before us had filled up after ours, and he told me it wasn't true, as the order had been taken first. More than what he said, what struck me was the manner. The lady really snapped, and the waiter displayed absurd arrogance. I didn't respond only because I didn't want the situation to escalate further. Anyway, almost all of us returned to our tables, with very little appetite due to all the nerves we'd been feeling, and finally the pizzas arrived. Some were perfectly good, others had pieces of dough still raw, despite the lady's statement that they'd been in the oven a good few minutes earlier. This ordeal ended, and the rude waiter apologized to one of the people who organized the dinner and offered a few euros off. Well, I don't know what happened that day, and I always try to be understanding because working in the restaurant business isn't easy, but it's a fact: you treated us really badly. I will never return to this pizzeria again, and if you have to invite someone over and want to make a good impression, I strongly advise against it.
