22/06/2026: Mesa e Oro 🌟 I celebrated my birthday at Mesa e Oro and I couldn't have made a better choice. The location is stunning, with a pool and tastefully decorated rooms, perfect for events of up to 100 people. I relied entirely on the owners, even with the food, without outside catering, and everything was excellent and much appreciated by the guests. The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always available. We spent a wonderful evening, from 9 pm until 2 am, in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. A truly positive experience that I highly recommend!

30/05/2026: Excellent value for money, and the owners were incredibly friendly. I ordered a veal steak (very good meat, perfectly cooked to medium, just as I requested), grilled vegetables (very fresh, with quality olive oil), and a seadas to finish off the meal (they didn't skimp on the honey). I highly recommend it.

26/05/2026: Great pasta stop (delicious carbonara), served by friendly people. Recommended.

21/07/2026: We booked to watch the World Cup final and were seated at a table really close to the TV, perfect. We ordered a meter-long pizza, and the service was good considering the large crowd. The food was good, but the only complaint was the noise in the restaurant, which was a bit too much.

14/07/2026: We visited Les Arenas and had mixed experiences. The service was okay—not bad, but nothing that stood out. I ordered the lasagna, and unfortunately, it was overpriced for the taste. It wasn’t bad, but I expected more considering the price. On the other hand, my girlfriend ordered the Tonno Dopo and it was really good. The pizza was flavorful and definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, if we came back, we’d probably stick to the pizza.

27/07/2026: In fact, apart from the magnificent setting, this place is a money grab. No matter what cocktail you order, it will cost you €25 and a glass of water €10??? Really? Given the entrance fee, you can't even sit down. Keep walking, there are better things to see in Sardinia.

24/02/2026: On a cold, humid February day, I visited the restaurant with a group of friends to enjoy a traditional Carnival favata. The fava beans were cooked to perfection, accompanied by generous pieces of pork: sausages, rind, and ribs, all flavorful and well-prepared. The vegetables were also excellent, carefully cooked and served in generous portions. Everything was washed down with a very acceptable house Cannonau. Furthermore, the evening was enlivened by live music: a group of professional musicians revived great national and international hits from the '80s and '90s, delighting us with their mastery and convincing us to stay longer... resulting in a few more digestives. The only downside was the dessert: the "fatti fritti" (fried biscuits), unfortunately tiny, hard, and decidedly subdued compared to the quality of everything else. The staff was professional, smiling, and very helpful; The only small drawback is the venue's capacity, which can be a bit limited on busy evenings. The restrooms are clean and tidy.

17/07/2026: What a shame! The pizzeria's identity has been severely impacted since the wood-fired oven was replaced with an automatic rotating electric oven. The pizza is flat and rubbery. The flavors and texture provided by the traditional wood-fired oven are gone. What a disaster.

02/06/2026: I ordered a gluten-free pizza and was very satisfied: the menu has a wide selection and the pizza was delicious. The staff is very friendly, and you can tell they follow strict procedures for gluten-free products, with separate ovens and careful preparation. Excellent value for money. I will definitely be back.

01/06/2026: The place is unique, especially for its vaults... the decor is equally unconventional, perhaps a little overdone. The food is good but not exceptional, and the price is a bit high compared to the average restaurant on the island. We ate the fixed tuna tour menu (menu price 50 euros per person). There were four appetizers, but as shown in the photo, they were a bit limited. The staff was courteous and helpful.

28/04/2026: I don't recommend it! The place says it's open from 12:30 PM. At 6:15 PM, the waitress arrogantly tells you to leave because they open at 7:45 PM. The food may be tasty, but the rude service is definitely not inviting, and the opening hours are misleading. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

30/05/2026: There were four of us without a reservation, and we spoke very little Italian. Everything was fantastic: the service, the delicious food, and the generous portions. We ordered both meat and fish. Everything was delicious.

20/05/2026: You can't serve a steak weighing more than a kilo rare, raw, and cold from the refrigerator. Cooking a Florentine steak is an art, and should be done by someone who knows the art. I recommend a cast iron griddle and suitable cutlery. The potatoes are excellent, and the grilled vegetables are good. Mediocre value for money.

02/07/2026: Comfortable atmosphere, the staff is always present and very kind. The pizzas are delicious, cooked very well. You can see they have a lot of experience.

28/06/2026: Large place, good food, less good price, compared to a few years ago I found it enlarged as well as the prices, 14 euros for a small hamburger and fries seems exaggerated to me, a pizza and a beer 24 euros I think is exaggerated.. a little kindness from some waitresses would not be bad.

18/05/2026: I find it incomprehensible that in 2026 they are unable to keep their opening hours up-to-date on Google Maps. We went out of our way to find ourselves standing in front of closed doors...

23/04/2026: Yesterday we went to this bar for an aperitivo. It was a decidedly negative experience. We sat for a quarter of an hour while the bartender stared at us without ever bothering to take our order. It was unprofessional, and when we were finally served, she was even quite rude. Customers should feel welcomed, not ignored. The service needs a complete overhaul. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but the service really makes a difference.

29/04/2026: The restaurant was very well-maintained, as was the service from a young woman and a young man who looked after us throughout the rest of the meal. I chose the breaded swordfish fillet (see photo), and I must say I was a bit disappointed. The fish flavor was too overpowering, so it tasted like a cutlet. Not bad, but I expected something more. The other two people I had lunch with chose the tuna alla carlofortina and grilled corvina fillet, both excellent. Next, they had a mille-feuille with a pistachio cream. It was recommended to me by the property where I'm staying, both for the excellent quality of the food and for the food inside (there's no specific sign outside, it just says "restaurant"); the window display was very inviting. I'd recommend it too!

In addition to this renowned specialty, you can also enjoy homemade desserts prepared with care and passion. Qualified and friendly staff and an exceptional owner make all the difference. Highly recommended.

31/03/2026: A very simple but truly satisfying dinner! The faine was excellent and the portions generous (neither of us finished our portion, so they let us take the rest home). The waiters were friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back if we're in Sassari again!
