31/05/2026: We were on holiday and had dinner at your restaurant. I went inside to pay the bill, I paid what was presented to me, and even left a €10 tip for the waiter (rather long black hair). We then left the restaurant at a normal pace (not fast because I am disabled). After crossing the street, we looked at the receipt and realized that the ticket was not ours but from another table of 4 persons. We checked the ticket and discovered that we had been given and charged the wrong bill. We were about to return to the restaurant when a waiter came running after us, loudly accusing us of leaving without paying and saying we took the bill from another table. I reminded him that I had personally paid inside the restaurant and had even tipped him. We then were forced to show him proof of payment on our phone, we returned to the restaurant to resolve the mistake. It became clear that the error was not ours, but the restaurant had charged us the wrong table's bill. We immediately paid the correct amount, but by then we had already been publicly accused in front of other guests, who were looking at us as if we had deliberately left without paying. I am disabled so we certainly were not trying to rush away. What disappointed us most was that, despite the mistake being on the restaurant's side, we never received an apology for the false accusation or for the embarrassment caused. Everyone can make mistakes, but when a customer is wrongly accused in public, a simple apology would have been the least we could expect.

24/11/2025: We've been here before. It's family-run, with very nice and friendly staff. The dishes are truly generous and tasty. (We had spaghetti fine del Mondo and spaghetti with mussels and shrimp.) I forgot to take photos! The prices are absolutely affordable for families and workers! So go there because it's truly worth it!

07/09/2025: The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place was nice. The food was nothing special, with the mussels not being fresh at all and the fried fish being nothing special. Prices were average.

09/06/2026: Last night around 10:00 PM, we were looking for somewhere to eat, and all the restaurants kept telling us the kitchen was closed (which is still a good time to eat, especially since we're in a touristy area). The only place that welcomed us was this restaurant. We went in and the atmosphere was truly comfortable. The waiters were super friendly, and we ate truly deliciously: spaghetti with clams and fried fish, both expertly prepared despite the time!

04/06/2026: Fast service and good wine recommended by them, less so the food, unfortunately the vegetarian carbonara was sad, the sauce consisted of BOILED courgettes (they should be fried, not boiled), there was practically no egg and the dish remained watery (it had not been creamed, absolutely not at all!).

26/05/2026: I stopped by one evening (a Monday, so it wasn't very crowded). I had a rib-eye steak with a side of grilled vegetables, which was truly tender and tasty. Excellent beer selection. The dessert was also good. The staff was truly kind and attentive. I would return.

03/05/2026: A true pub where you can find your favorite beer and enjoy excellent food. Impeccable service and a very friendly Andrea who treated us like royalty. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back every time we pass through Assemini.

11/06/2026: Excellent typical Sardinian dinner! We enjoyed well-prepared and flavorful traditional dishes, made with quality ingredients. The service was fast, attentive, and very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. A truly positive experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to savor authentic Sardinian cuisine. We'll be back!

10/05/2026: We visited the hotel during the first week of May. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied, fresh, and well-presented. Unfortunately, there was only a buffet one evening; otherwise, it was set menus. The quality of the individual dishes varied considerably. Sometimes excellent, sometimes terrible. We would gladly return, but only if we booked a room with breakfast included.

10/05/2026: As soon as we arrived, everything went well. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, which is why I added an extra star instead of just one. The room was well-presented, apart from the initial difficulty of using force to open it and the same problem closing it, otherwise it would stay open. The room was clean, but ours had a door that connected to the other room and was very poorly soundproofed, which I really don't accept for a 5-star hotel. The spa is there just to say the least, but it's lacking maintenance and disappointing in every way. For example, out of 5 hydromassage jets, only 1 worked. The situation at the bar was disappointing. It took six workers 45 minutes to find the bottle we asked for. Or rather, I assume they only had warm water and tried putting it in the blast chiller to cool it down a bit. Every time we've had an aperitivo, either the requested bottle wasn't available or there's always been some mix-up that results in us being offered a platter. The platter was NEVER accompanied by napkins or a small plate to place the olive seeds on. I think they're basics from a dive bar, let alone a 5-star establishment. We arrived for lunch at 1:30 PM, and with just one course, we finished at 3:30. The icing on the cake, however, was breakfast. We went in to ask if we had an assigned seat or if there were any free seats, and the waiter, if you will, replied: "You can sit wherever you like, but next time, get dressed and put on a jacket, otherwise you'll sit outside." I was wearing a top and pants. I wasn't in a swimsuit or dressed vulgarly. In fact, I'm nine months pregnant and often get hot flashes that don't force me to lighten up. The change in tone of his response (using the informal "tu" with me) and the smug manner he used, considering he was one of the older waiters, makes me realize how inadequate the table service is. He completely ruined my morning and was incredibly rude. He made me so angry that I regret not having gotten his name to point this out at the front desk. In short, a negative experience in almost every way, except for the front desk and the girl who drove the shuttle to the beach, who was super kind and friendly. Otherwise, I'd never set foot there again.

30/05/2026: There were four of us without a reservation, and we spoke very little Italian. Everything was fantastic: the service, the delicious food, and the generous portions. We ordered both meat and fish. Everything was delicious.

20/05/2026: You can't serve a steak weighing more than a kilo rare, raw, and cold from the refrigerator. Cooking a Florentine steak is an art, and should be done by someone who knows the art. I recommend a cast iron griddle and suitable cutlery. The potatoes are excellent, and the grilled vegetables are good. Mediocre value for money.

20/02/2026: The pizzas and sandwiches are simply delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and a very light dough. The real plus, however, is the staff: they're all friendly, kind, and make you feel right at home. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Food: Take account this is a bar not restaurant; the morning croissants are the best in San Teodoro. Staff: Exude a level of cool that Jim Morrison / David Bowie could only ever hope for. Beer: Rye River IPA…… didn’t get chance for any other….. why change from the best. Morning coffee: The best (we are in Italy, don’t forget. Every place has an Achilles heel, but try as we might, we can’t find any). How do you really rate a place? Atmosphere: From morning to night, the right music. Not on a constant loop, the coolest to match the mood of the moment. Food: Keep in mind that it’s a bar, not a restaurant; the morning croissants are the best in San Teodoro. Staff: They express a level of cool that Jim Morrison and David Bowie could only dream of. Beer: Rye River IPA... I haven’t had the chance to try anything else... why change from the best? 15/05/2026: Excellent welcome and service. A selection of truly delicious appetizers, in typical Sardinian style. The fregola with mussels and bottarga, with a hint of spice, was the best. The homemade cheesecake was also good. Excellent value. €34 per person. Reservations are recommended as there are only a few tables.

22/05/2026: The central location is excellent for the feast of Sant'Egidio on May 1st. The breakfast isn't the best, it's standard. But the staff is always helpful. The rooms aren't bad, a little dated but comfortable. Antique in the beautiful sense. In any case, there are some valuable collectibles. Kudos to the owner for that.

22/05/2026: The hotel is well-located and central, yet we were able to park on the street every day without any problems. It's nicely renovated and comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant because we went on a day trip to the beautiful beaches of Sardinia. We would definitely return.

04/06/2026: New to Budoni and just passing through... two weeks of decent food and dissatisfied except at Mama's and now here at Lira, where I was welcomed by some great waiters. I thought I'd eat the classic sandwich that doesn't fill you up, but instead I almost gave up, I couldn't take it anymore 🤣🤣😍❤️ it was too good!!! Better than Mac Donald's. I highly recommend it.
