Otherwise nice place.

19/03/2026: This is a hybrid wine store/ wine bar/ restaurant that was amazing. We did two tastings in different days, one for Sardinian wines and then other. all wines from Italy. We chose to pair the tasting with food and each came with a small plate to match the wine. The pairing were delicious and so were all of the wines. The staff was friendly and helpful, there was always at least one person to help us as my Italian is non-existent. You can come by for just a glass of wine, or a bottle and food. It was always busy and had a nice atmosphere.

28/04/2026: Old style restaurant with a beautiful sea view, and here kind off ends the good things … The menu is nothing special and can be improved, at least for the first and second courses, the presentation on the plate and maybe some things on the restaurant
The service is not bad , but I do not like when they are trying to convince you to go for the “pescato del giorno “
The starters are ok , fresh as well , the pasta , well , the taste was good but there could be some nice shrimps …Desert ok , but the plating ..

26/04/2026: Today I celebrated my son's baptism. The service was excellent, the setting beautiful, and the food was spectacular, the quality was top-notch, and the quantity was truly generous.
We were all very happy, and it was a wonderful day. Everyone was so helpful, both in the days leading up to the event and today. Thank you!

22/11/2025: If I were to rate the food, my review would be positive. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately assaulted by the waitress, the irritable blonde, for arriving slightly early for our reservation. Okay, we swallowed and waited patiently outside in the cold. Once seated at our table, we were served by two waitresses, one truly friendly and nice, the other decidedly rude, surly, and very annoyed. Her rudeness and impatience turned what should have been a pleasant evening into one to forget. Paying customers shouldn't be treated that way. But even worse was that, after we pointed out to the waitress her terrible attitude toward us, she pretended to be completely taken aback. This job is tiring and understandable, like all jobs, but if you completely lack empathy, perhaps it would be best to consider changing careers.

Daniela and her family made us feel at home right away. The welcoming atmosphere, the elegant restaurant, and the knowledgeable staff were immediately evident. Their passion and professionalism were evident.
We took their advice and were not disappointed. The appetizers were excellent, the raw seafood spectacular, and the roasted calamari perfect!!
We will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
12/06/2026: We'd discovered this restaurant through The Fork, where it was my fault I hadn't requested the standard 20% discount at the end of the meal, and the restaurant only noticed after we'd left. The food was divine, and we were impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the owner and young waiter. The food, of course, was also worthy of a top-notch restaurant.
We returned two days later, and as soon as the owner saw us and recognized us, she apologized without us even saying anything for the discount not being given. She immediately offered us a more generous appetizer than expected and asked us to order a first course for a minimum of two people. Before the dinner was over, she had to leave, leaving us in the hands of the young waiter and a young woman who handed us a delicious dessert.
Despite all these thoughtful gestures, to apologize for what had happened two days earlier, she left instructions to give us the 20% discount this evening.
And that's not all: when we paid the bill, the man also gave us a 20% discount valid for a month on lunch.
What can I say? There are few restaurateurs like her, and even fewer people like her and the guys who served us.
If I ever return to Castelsardo, I'll definitely visit those people again, and I'll definitely stop by for dinner or lunch to sample the chef's masterfully crafted dishes.
I wish the restaurant and the people who run it all the best.

07/04/2026: We were a group of 12 and ate at this restaurant on Easter Sunday. The staff was kind, smiling, and welcoming. They advised us on what to order and helped us determine the portion sizes, which was very welcome because we were able to sample various dishes and accommodate the tastes of both adults and children.
We enjoyed everything, both the pizza and the seafood. The ravioli and mixed antipasti were very good.
The desserts were also delicious.
Thank you for helping make our two days in Alghero special! We will definitely be back and recommend it!

My work (and my passion for good, authentic food) has led me to many places in Sardinia, but this one is by far the best.
Dining here is always a wonderful experience: the seasonal menu and the "zero kilometer" dishes, the view that induces profound serenity, and Ignazie's hospitality, guiding you through the culinary traditions of the upper Marmilla region. I've been there many times... and I'll return many times.

09/04/2026: Had a great brunch on Easter here! Nathan, a new server was on point!! Attentive, friendly, accommodating! The French toast and eggs benedict were delicious!! The crabcake on the crab benedict wasn’t the best we’ve had ( too much bread and a little fishy) but everything else was superb!!

19/05/2026: My assessment of Kobuta is a combination of the comments I'd make about the ideas of a creative department (that's my job) and my experiences as a lifelong manager with a trolley. In order:
1) Kobuta was born from a madness: that of seeking unions between two islands that are very distant but very close in terms of history and character: Japan and the beloved Sardinia. Therefore, the idea gets a high rating.
2) The food. I had the opportunity to "challenge" this idea by tasting three different dishes from the menu: a revisited fregola, a long-cooked pork capocollo, and a vegetable tempura. Here too, the rating is high for the quality of the ingredients and the cooking. The plating could be improved with bases that vary depending on the contents. Fregola on a flat plate is fine, but why not serve tempura in a vertical bucket like they do in Japan? Anyway, very good.
3) The drink. I have a suggestion for the owners and the chef, and I'm doing it to raise the bar: think about a possible food-drink pairing. For example, without being offered an option, I decided to pair the pork with a slightly citrusy sake (a failed pairing) and the tempura with a dry, pure-fermented sake (a perfect choice). Consequently, it would make sense to include a pairing suggested by your sommelier on the menu, either based on Sardinian wines (but be careful not to become a Vermentinificio like half of Sardinia already is: perhaps look among artisanal producers with heroic vineyards or innovative blends) or based on Japanese sake, paired with thoughtful expression, seeking harmony between dish and drink. Here too, the two islands must meet.
In short: Kobuta is a great idea, it has great personality, and it inspires a strong desire to return, this time to give you my fifth star.
