26/06/2025: English: We had dinner at this place on a Monday night and to our surprise there were a lot of people, both in the internal room and at the tables outside. The courtesy, professionalism and kindness of the waitress and all the staff was something truly pleasant, added value of those who know how to be in business (and these days it is not a given). I ordered French fries, a white pizza topped with fiordilatte, smoked provola, fresh sausage and speck; my partner instead a fried calzone (which I had to finish because it was really big). Everything was really good, especially the pizza, as they have a wood-fired oven. The bill was very adequate for the quality of the product. Finally, when paying the bill, the owner was really honest as he told me that the calzone had no additions, therefore he discounted me by €2. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a good pizza, but also a variety of appetizers. We will definitely be back.

30/06/2025: What a wonderfully authentic Italian home cooked style meal we had at La Piccola Loccanda. We ate here twice it was so good and took our family the second time. Owner and cook Maddalena greeted us like long lost friends on our second visit. Fried fish cooked to order and so fresh, while the meat and various vegetables were super tasty. Do yourself a favour and visit when in Taranto, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.

17/07/2025: Dinner included an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, followed by a mixed grill. Everything was excellent and the quality/price ratio was remarkable. Also noteworthy was the gluten-free option for our daughter who is celiac. Highly recommended.

07/07/2025: A pleasant discovery.. fried meatballs sausage for children who do not eat pizza very good and very tasty. The pizza was excellent thin and crispy and very topped. Definitely worth returning

01/07/2025: A good pizza. Good raw materials, soft and light dough. They are really good. I think there are about ten tables for 6 outside, raised on a wooden platform on the sidewalk that runs along the corner of the block where the pizzeria is located. Not many. There are other tables inside but, in the summer, they obviously remain empty. There is a good influx and, if you want to sit outside, a reservation is essential. Unfortunately, that is the space they have and I must say that it is used to the fullest. The pizzeria is located in an uninteresting area, close to the road, between the blocks of the town. There is not much traffic though and it is still quiet. Excellent quality/price ratio. In conclusion, if you fancy a good pizza, and want to spend a quiet evening chatting with some friends without bleeding yourself dry, this is an excellent choice.

14/06/2025: A wonderful surprise. Very nice place, well furnished and equipped with a comfortable gazebo. Very kind staff, very good pizza and everything on the menu. Impeccably managed. It was the first time........but now you have won us over. Thanks for the beautiful evening on the occasion of my name day

27/04/2025: Pranzo di Pasqua: qualità scarsa e quantità insufficiente. Ambiente buio e senza ricambio di aria. Servizio lentissimo, lunghe pause tra un piatto e l'altro considerando che il menù era fisso, pasto iniziato alle 13 e finito alle 18. Mai più!

15/06/2025: We were there last night for a dinner with a couple of friends, ordered 2 appetizers of the house, each appetizer recommended for 2 people. Poor and sad appetizer for quantity and variety. Price not justified, in fact expensive. Not to return.

15/06/2025: Nel cuore del centro storico di Grottaglie un'ottima realtà culinaria.Bella atmosfera, piatti della tradizione rivisitati senza stravolgimenti utilizzando prodotti di prima qualità, il tutto sostenuto da una apprezzata e dettagliata presentazione dei piatti da parte dello staff e dello chef....e non poteva finire che con il piatto "all'assassina " con esaltazione della qualità e dei sapori...grazie! Da ritornarci!

12/07/2025: The staff were extremely friendly, and the quality of the fish was truly fresh, well-prepared, and served. The seafood risotto (a true "graduation" for chefs) was truly perfect. I congratulated the owner for it, but he kindly asked me to pass these compliments directly on to the chef, who was very appreciative. What more can I say? Guests are greeted with the utmost kindness; the service is impeccable. And... the taste of the sea!!!

01/07/2025: Beautiful location with a particular view of the canal that connects the Mar Grande with the Mar Piccolo. All aimed at a fish-based tasting.

20/07/2025: The interior of this restaurant is spic and span and very comfortably air conditioned. The service is efficient but varies between grossly impersonal to pleasant depending upon which of the several staff members you are dealing with during our 2 hour stay. We found the service all a bit strange 🤔 The food is very good. We tried a number of local specialties eg: mussels in gratin, spaghetti with clams, fettuccine with mussels, clams and prawns plus a bruschetta with anchovies and butter. They were all scrumptious.

12/07/2025: Average reception for this restaurant, which welcomes a lot of locals in a renovated and rather pleasant setting. Fairly standard for an Italian seaside restaurant, seafood pasta and mussels made our meal, everything was good but not exceptional given the current rating. Not too risky to go there, but disappointing value for money.
