19/05/2026: The meal was excellent and refined, the staff were pleasant, and the setting was lovely. Despite a strong wind, we felt completely comfortable on the veranda. In short, a perfect meal 👍

15/05/2026: An extreamly „nice view“ Veranda where frutti di mare is well prepared and friendly served. I recommend to go with the catch of the day accompanied with salad and vegetables. Enjoy!

23/04/2026: Bar Peppino is a place with a true Italian soul. You can feel the atmosphere of bygone days—no rush, no unnecessary hustle and bustle, but with an authentic atmosphere. The wonderful owners create a unique atmosphere, and the local guests only add to the charm of this place. In our opinion, this is a must-see.

29/03/2026: Large, rather impersonal dining room. Tables are very spaced apart. The waiter is very knowledgeable. The sommelier is equally so. The cuisine is refined. The Parmigiana was very good. Excellent squid, perfectly tender, served on a pepper purée. Excellent local lobster, with a choice of pasta (we had paccheri). The sauce was very well-balanced. The wine list was adequate, nothing more. Fortunately, the sommelier offered good advice. We ordered a wine from Campania: Falanghina 2024, Via del Campo from Quintedecimo, mineral, fresh, and quite complex.

20/01/2026: Jamanté is a luxury high class food restaurant at the edge of Polignano a Mare . Very good choices of wine and fine dining menu. Different from the many classical Italian restaurants in Puglia

14/07/2026: The location is undeniably beautiful, right by the water with a lovely view. However, it’s also one of the most photographed spots in Polignano a Mare, so expect a constant stream of people taking pictures. During our visit, there was also a large stage next to the restaurant with an ongoing sound check, which made the atmosphere far from peaceful or romantic. The restaurant requires each guest to order at least two courses. We both chose the lobster pasta as a starter. It was good, but there was very little actual lobster. It tasted as though it had been made with a lobster bisque or stock rather than containing much lobster meat, which was disappointing. For our main courses, we both ordered fish. It was well-cooked, beautifully presented, and flavorful, but the portion was surprisingly small. What lowered the experience the most was the service. The staff didn’t feel particularly warm or welcoming, and we often felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. Despite booking well in advance, we were seated at one of the least desirable tables, directly facing the noisy stage. We had to ask if we could move ourselves, which felt strange given that we had reserved ahead of time. One detail also felt a bit artificial. The restaurant offers men the option to surprise their partners with flowers, which sounds like a lovely idea. However, when several couples arrive at the same time, are seated next to each other, and every woman receives the exact same flower, it loses its charm and starts to feel more staged than romantic .. Overall, the food and wine were enjoyable, but the atmosphere lacked authenticity. Rather than feeling like an intimate Italian dining experience, it felt more focused on appearances. If you’re looking for genuine romance and local charm, this probably isn’t the place. The wine, however, was excellent.

15/07/2026: Let me start by saying that every time I'm in Polignano, I stop by Massarì. Everything is always good, except that I spent €11.50 for a mortadella sandwich and a small bottle of water (definitely good, but maybe a little too much?)

09/07/2026: We found this place by chance and ate focaccia and orecchiette, which is famous in the region. Everything was fresh and delicious.

11/07/2026: Via Roma is very lovely, but the food was underwhelming. Grilled sea food platter tasted too much of smoke to our taste - neither fish could be recognized. The staff was attentive.

20/05/2026: Very disappointing experience. The staff was rude from the moment we arrived and made us feel completely unwelcome. We found hair in the food, and the clams were clearly not fresh and badly overcooked. When we tried to politely explain that we were unhappy with the meal and service, the staff refused to listen and dismissed our concerns entirely. Despite the poor treatment, we were still forced to pay a service fee, which felt unreasonable considering the way we were treated. The overall attitude of the staff made us feel like a burden, even to the point of dropping the menus in front of us without basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.

17/05/2026: Good food, but very slow and evasive service that does not follow up with customers during dinner. One of the main courses did not come with the others. The waiter noticed it and said - "wait a minute". We waited thirty minutes for it to arrive😔 The service showed no understanding that it was poor service.

03/05/2026: Unacceptable: Ghost reservation and zero respect. A terrible experience and embarrassing management. We called this morning to reserve a table for lunch and received a confirmation. Once we arrived, we were told that due to a "communication error," there was no more room. I find it unacceptable that a restaurant in Polignano would behave like this: they literally left us stranded on the street with two small children, without even trying to resolve the inconvenience they had caused. If you confirm a reservation verbally a few hours in advance, you have to guarantee it. If you're looking for reliability and respect for the customer, stay away.

11/04/2026: Excellent and inexpensive appetizer platter. Delicious crepe. Very good Aperol and passion fruit spritz. It's a shame to charge for cutlery with an aperitif.

20/05/2026: Servers are indifferent and inattentive. Food was just ok. We got a glass of wine which might have been 3 ounces, at best . Clearly they know it's mainly tourists coming in and they're one and done so they don't really give a damn. I wouldn't recommend this place. My bad for not reading all the lousy recent reviews before going in.

12/07/2026: Unfortunately, following the advice of those who had already been there, we booked this restaurant. The location is beautiful, but the rest is all to be reviewed. The appetizer arrived but since there were two of us, one immediately and the other after 20 minutes. From 8pm to 10pm we only had the two first courses, spaghetti with clams that were floating in the water (clams without shells) and the same spaghetti with mussels and clams. The taste was not bad but they were too floating. All the customers were poisoned by the biblical times. In the end, we left and paid for what we had consumed (we gave up on the second course given the times). The waiters tried to apologize but it's not their fault, perhaps the management made a mistake. It's a shame because the location is beautiful.

09/07/2026: Although I didn't sit down to eat, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I politely asked for permission, but they refused, saying that they would open in 15 minutes and that they were cleaning the place. Personally, I didn't find the explanation convincing and I felt that they simply didn't want to serve someone who wasn't a customer. I understand that every business has its own policy, but in a case of real need, I expected a little more understanding and humanity. This particular experience left a very negative impression on me.
