18/07/2025: We were there for work, and were welcomed as if we were their grandchildren. The owners, Filippo and Rosaria, are two genuine, hard-working people who do everything they can to make their guests feel welcome and cared for, as do their daughters who help them, who are also tireless. After 15 days, we were sad to leave them; we felt at home. We returned two years later, again for work. The place has been completely renovated, but fortunately the spirit hasn't. I will return as soon as possible, and we will continue to return. Thank you again for everything you have done and continue to do. If you pass through Roseto, you can't miss this place. The cuisine is simple, but very good, and they are always attentive to the customer's needs. A big hug to the whole family.

It has the warmth of a home, services that is very welcoming, great prices, and incredible and delicious food!

A simple place but with a warm atmosphere.
The woman who greeted me was very kind; she found me a seat outside even though it was full, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I had to wait over 50 minutes for my main course, which was the daily special on the blackboard... It ruined my appetite a bit because after a full day of exploring the city, I just wanted to eat and go home to bed not too late.
So, I didn't really enjoy my chicken and chicory dish, which was a bit greasy; the vegetables were fresh. However, the pizzas looked very good.

24/11/2025: Solid experience, focused cuisine, consistent service.
Five of us dined on a Saturday night. The place was packed but the management was impeccable: perfect wait times, no friction in the service, and well-trained staff. Smooth operations, which, on a weekend, says a lot.
Appetizers
We started with four beef carpaccios with yellow cherry tomatoes, lamb's lettuce, and parmesan shavings: a simple but well-executed dish, finely cut, fresh ingredients, and a balanced seasoning. We also shared a first course: orecchiette with creamed turnip greens, sausage, and sun-dried tomatoes. Highly recommended.
Main Courses
Arrosticini: really well-made, precisely cooked, and tender meat.
Grilled vegetables: standard but well-done, not burnt, not watery.
As for the meat, we played it cool:
I chose a sliced entrecote, medium rare. The quality of the meat was evident.
Another diner had a Genovese of black pork with crusty bread (pictured: very tender, full-bodied, thick sauce).
The other three ordered the Maminha, served on a hot griddle, a stunning dish, and juicy meat. Excellent.
In summary: the quality of the meat is high, the wait times are perfect, the presentation is meticulous and unfussy, the prices are super fair, and the atmosphere is rustic, authentic, and in keeping with the restaurant's positioning.
I'll conclude by saying that Il Carbonaio is a restaurant that doesn't improvise. It knows how to handle crowded places, maintains high-quality ingredients, and brings to the table meat that speaks for itself.
I'll be back and recommend it without hesitation.

19/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel for two weeks, and what can I say? "Everything was perfect." We thank Cosimo, Valentina, and the entire staff for their professionalism and courtesy. Thanks to chef Mimmo, who pampered us with his dishes. A special thanks to maître d', Angelo, who attentively attended to our needs with great professionalism, making us feel at ease. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and linens were changed daily. We hope to see you again soon for another stay.
03/09/2025: Everything was perfect. It's hard for me to find a flaw in the hotel. We've been coming here for six years, and every year it's simply welcoming. Cosimo and Valentina are fantastic. Always available and ready to solve any problem, should we have any. We can't forget Sabino, one of their great collaborators.
The Rinelli Hotel has two refined restaurants, one more beautiful than the other, with "land and sea" menus that change daily.
It also has several B&B apartments, built with a very beautiful architectural style, overlooking the beach promenade.
We will definitely be back.

06/12/2025: Trying to continue a result achieved in the past in the most flawed way possible. Regardless of the size of the dishes, which really should be part of a tasting menu, the even more serious issue is their quality. Meat ordered rare arrived well overdone. Pasta bordering on undercooked. But above all, more than half the table suffered from nausea and intestinal problems from the night before until the next day. The staff is also kind, but after an experience like that, the professionalism and elegance with which they serve the table becomes absolutely ridiculous in this case.
30/11/2025: Tasting portions = close to zero, spaghetti with sea urchin practically raw, rare meat overcooked, doubts about the freshness of the mini crudo (almost the entire table felt sick and nauseous)
… = I strongly advise against it!

11/10/2025: Fantastic location. Everything was perfect. Perfect food. I would have given it 5 stars. I'm only giving it 4 because I was served a first course with plain shrimp, not blue shrimp as described on the menu. It should be noted that this is a dish we eat often and are well known for. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he told us he would ask the kitchen. Unfortunately, since we couldn't argue with what he said, we were told that the chef told him it was still blue shrimp, but only 2/3 of the variety. I repeat, they were plain cocktail shrimp. It's a shame they were missing both. Highly recommended, though.

28/09/2025: A charming place, a seaside restaurant, extremely elegant and high-end. We had two appetizers, two main courses, and a shared dessert, plus two glasses of wine. The two appetizers we chose were gurnard carpaccio with citrus extract and roasted mackerel with zucchini scapece. The two main courses were stuffed squid and cardoncelli mushroom "absolute," which is mushrooms in three textures. Finally, a "chamomile meadow." Everything was delicious, everything was undoubtedly prepared with dedication and passion. Everything was beautiful. However, nowadays it's really hard to find places that prioritize the quality of the product, but rather put it on the surface. The dishes we tried were basically "poor"—we're talking zucchini, mackerel, cardoncelli mushrooms; perhaps the most expensive was the cuttlefish. I paid 50 euros for each of these items, which isn't worth the product itself, but rather its preparation and everything that goes into a restaurant of this caliber. But, excuse the cruelty, I don't have to pay for this. I want to pay for the dish, and we're not talking about an expensive dish, because they didn't offer me white truffle on the menu. When I talk about appearance, I'm also talking about the initial show cooking, which was nice, yes, but customer service is another story.
The service, if anything, needs improvement: I have the freedom to choose the wine by the glass, and if the sommelier wants to recommend it, he should open the bottle in front of my table, or at least keep it vacuum-packed. And I can accept a mistake like that in average restaurants, but not here, where, I repeat, the bill wasn't so "sweet."

08/12/2025: Good morning, yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with a dear friend of mine for lunch, who took me to Monopoli for the first time. What can I say? As soon as we entered, fate decreed that we were the first to arrive, and thus had that little bit of anxiety about being in full view of everyone. Haha, then, just two seconds later, not only did we smell the delicious food, but we also immediately sensed the special aroma of a kind welcome that made us feel instantly at home. And, above all, seeing the PEACE of mind that permeates the heart of the place and all the people who work there, always with a genuine smile on their faces, filled my heart from the very first moment.
Politeness? Simply extraordinary, needless to say. Always attentive to everything, but always with a smile.
A friendliness that I would describe as 110%.
I savored the delicious dishes, those spectacular baked potatoes, that seafood platter. I'm also sorry I was full, otherwise I would have taken it home if I could, haha, 🥹🥹 but anyway, we chatted, and we kept repeating: "What a beautiful place, what lovely people, how delicious this pasta is, look how lovely the waiters are to each other, seeing them smile at their work is not a given, given that some people work almost reluctantly these days, etc." Because having GOOD-hearted people around you really improves your mood. I felt free of mind, for the first time in a while: I even told my friend, it almost felt like a burden had been lifted from me. Maybe it's the wonderful humanity of those who work there, the atmosphere, the EXTRAORDINARY food, the good company, or the wonderful light that envelops the place... but I hope to return countless times.
Kindness, politeness, goodness of heart, believing in what you do, respect for yourself and then for those around you, and above all, a HUGE SMILE will always be the best ways to face life. Having a bad day is human and absolutely understandable; probably, even if I had found a waiter/waitress at a less positive time, I would still have felt the same special energy.
