18/11/2025: The space was cramped, especially the bathroom. Unfortunately, I was there on a very busy holiday, so the atmosphere wasn't the best. Despite the chaos, the staff were friendly, with a tired look on their faces. The space needs improvement. Excellent food.

09/11/2025: The first time I stayed there, it was really very welcoming, the staff and owners were top notch. I'll definitely be returning.

17/11/2025: Four out of five stars. We ordered two pizzas with burgers. Overall, it was a positive experience, but I'd like to point out that the burger, cut into wedges, was far too small and thin considering the €8 price of the pizza plus €2 for the cover charge.

26/08/2025: We spent an evening at this pizzeria. The pizza was excellent and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it.

26/10/2025: Sunday dinner in late October, one of the few places open in the area. A pleasant surprise, both the orecchiette with meatballs and the tripe were excellent, but above all, the delicious almond and fig spumone! It's a shame I don't live nearby, but I'd love to go back.

27/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A real highlight in Monopoli! The MezzoPieno impresses across the board – the food is simply fantastic! The Cacio e Pepe and the Frittura di Mare are particularly recommended – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel immediately welcome. Families with children are also in good hands here – very child-friendly and welcoming. Add to that the stunning view of the sea, which makes dining a truly special experience. A place you absolutely must visit when in Monopoli! 🌊🍝🐟

02/10/2025: It was nice to come back. I had been shunning it for years due to the rudeness of the previous owner. Now that it's under new ownership, it's a whole different story. The breakfasts and coffee were excellent. Highly recommended.

15/07/2025: My first time here for my morning breakfast. The café only employs young female staff. The service wasn’t bad—the barista was accommodating, but you can’t tell whether she was just playing along or genuinely interested in something serious and lasting! The price was steep—€2.80 for a bitter ginseng coffee and a brioche—with no glass of water included, which for a place that looks five-star in both price and décor is an unforgivable oversight

07/09/2025: We stopped here for lunch on our trip to Venice. You might not guess it from the outside, but the food was excellent and the prices were amazing. I would come back anytime. There were a few business people eating here, as they were taking their lunch break. Every meal that came out of the kitchen looked really good.

01/09/2025: Extremely rude! We tried to have lunch there on Sunday, August 31st! Let's start with the assumption that THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE, so RESERVATIONS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. Anyone who wants to eat here has to show up at the "restaurant," which actually looks like a converted shipping container, hoping there's a free table. Upon entry, you're not greeted; you just have to wait for a member of staff to come and speak to you. After a few minutes, you're told there's not enough staff to answer the phone. After a few more minutes, a second person arrives and decides whether to find a seat for you (since you couldn't make a reservation) or dismiss you, telling you, "There's no room for you!" (It was me, my wife, my 5-year-old daughter, and my 8-month-old son. PS: I just wanted to take my wife to lunch at a place she loves, where she used to go very often with her parents when she was a child! Disappointed by the rudeness and total lack of empathy, not even for two children!

07/12/2025: ...we happened upon it by chance, and found a truly lovely little place. The dining room was small but welcoming, the staff friendly, and the food truly excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that they denied my request for fried fish... simply because the daily catch was different... What was served was delicious, especially the mackerel parmigiana. We'll be back soon. Thank you so much.

28/11/2025: Anime Sante is poetry. It's the sea on your plate and the fire in Rocco's eyes, sharing his life with the sea. It's the kindness in the faces smiling from the glass of the open kitchen. It's the care and kindness of the young woman serving at the table. Anime Sante is an authentic place, like very few others these days. And it's also something more: an experience that's hard to explain if you don't go, but once you do, it stays with you, like a sense of nostalgia.

12/11/2025: A fantastic bakery, the focaccia is pure poetry!

25/08/2025: My first time at this bakery — I bought two little focaccine, no tomato, just with two pitted olives, and they charged me €2. Really, really expensive!

30/09/2025: We chanced upon this restaurant while walking after dinner, and stopped for a drink and to enjoy the beautiful view of the port and peaceful side of the fortified wall area of Otranto's historic centre. Based on that enjoyable experience we dined there the following evening; it was wonderful. It's a beautiful setting, the service was excellent, and the food was very good; I had a vegan dish, tofu tataki, which was very tasty and filling. For dessert we shared tiramisu and it was literally the best one I've ever had; somehow light and not overly sweet or gooey, just a beautiful balance of flavours. Perfect! Because it's a little off the beaten path it's quieter than some other restaurants in the tourist area, which was delightful.
