17/07/2024: Local located in the center of the mountain town, has cool and shady outdoor tables, kind and helpful Mr. Giovanni owner of the restaurant who without petulance attracts passing customers. Menu of typical regional and local dishes. The orecchiette with Apulian ragu are excellent, the hot local bread is spectacular and the grilled Podolico caciocavallo is fantastic. The prices are average, therefore I rate our experience with 5 stars also for the precious tourist information provided to us by Mr. Giovanni.

25/07/2024: Avevo una serata da passare a Gioia del Colle, ed ho iniziato a informarmi un pò sulle proposte culinarie in zona, e mi sono imbattuto in questo locale, che devo dire, ha un pò di valutazioni contrastanti, che ne parla bene e chi ne dà un giudizio negativo, così, attratto anche dalle foto dei vari taglieri, e dall’idea di mangiare “bolognese” a Gioia del Colle, ho deciso di provare. devo dire che a mio avviso, la qualità dei salmi è Buona, avevo letto valutazioni negative sul comportamento del personale ma, nel mio caso il personale era molto cortese e disponibile. le Tigelle e gli gnocchi fritti, sono a volontà, ma come ben indicato sul menù, solo se tutti i membri del tavolo, scelgono 1 tagliere a testa. i taglieri assaggiati erano abbondanti e ben presentati, ripeto la qualità dei salumi, buona. Oltre a Tigelle e gnocchi, vi erano un bel po' di salsine varie, molto buone, alcune sembravano commerciali, altre caserecce. nel nostro caso, 4 persone, 4 taglieri a scelta, le tigelle e gli gnocchi forniti sono stati anche troppi, andando via ci hanno anche chiesto se desideravamo portar via le tigelle e gli gnocchi rimanenti. ottimo locale, già consigliato a molti amici, e nel quale sicuramente tornerò volentieri.

21/06/2024: We had dinner in this place in front of the Gioia del Colle Castle, for a family occasion. The cutting boards left everyone speechless, beautiful to look at and good to eat. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be back.

27/08/2024: Overall for me it's a no. The pasta with sea food was ok, good, but the tuna tartare and salmon tartare was not. It's just the raw fish, not much anything else, I did not like it. We also had the anchovies, they were so so sour... :(

25/08/2024: It is our habit to visit an Italian city during our holidays. This year our choice was Taranto, a beautiful city.... Wonderful experience. But the choice of restaurant was not as exciting, we had lunch at the restaurant: Sea people...... Spaghetti with clams on the paper, in reality plain pasta with empty shells, tasteless. My husband tortelli with fish.....but three in number, fried calamari.... Unforgettable. We had the impression that they wanted to act like the gourmet restaurants seen on many TV programs, forgetting the essence and flavors of the city.

06/08/2024: 4 of us ate tonight, 2 adults and 2 children. We arrived at 8pm and the order was taken over 30 minutes later. When ordering, we were asked to reduce the choice to just one first course for the table, although it was practically the only thing that my husband and I had ordered, in addition to a pepper of mussels divided in two. We had to request wine a couple of times, as it was not brought to us either with the drinks or with the pepper. I think this explains everything. I believe that the place is still standing due to the quality of the dishes, tasty, well plated and made with excellent raw materials. For the rest, help! One man show by the owner who has to set the table, clear the table, take the orders, bring drinks and courses... with the result that the orders are taken late, the drinks arrive in installments, the courses are almost "thrown" on the table without a minimum of explanation of what is on the plate, impossible to talk to the manager who runs like a crazy ball between the dining room and the kitchen, from table to table. Sin.

09/08/2024: To say the least...Spectacular! I would stop here, but I want to underline yesterday's positive experience with a nice reunion with friends. We often return to Silvano for dinners, lunches with friends or family occasions. What can I say... It's now a guarantee for us. All truly exceptional. Excellent quality/price ratio. Impeccable service. Professionalism and friendliness. Now I understand why several well-known characters from the show have also passed through here.
