18/04/2026: Simple, old-fashioned trattoria-like atmosphere. Well-kept, welcoming. As I said at the counter, "we only ate good things." Chicken liver pâté fujot, house Russian salad, chestnut gnocchi with Lanzo toma cheese and chopped hazelnuts, strozzapreti with venison ragù, grilled vegetables, homemade cherry tart, fruit salad, water, and wine for €74.

09/02/2026: Highly recommended restaurant! We chose it for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is very informal and welcoming. The menu offers a limited number of options, but all interesting. Traditional Piedmontese dishes are presented in an original way, along with a few interesting innovations. Good vegetarian options, and an excellent risotto! Overall, the menu is sure to please all tastes. Top-notch in both presentation and flavor, and the desserts are also very good. The wait times between courses were just right. We tried it in the winter in the upstairs dining room, but in the summer it must be even more charming, with plenty of tables in a quiet and welcoming courtyard.

24/04/2026: Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff was unwelcoming, but the main problem was the food. We ordered breaded chicken, which arrived mostly pink, and a small portion was downright raw. Despite pointing this out immediately, we received neither an apology nor a discount on the final bill. We weren't even offered a bitters or a courtesy to make up for the mistake.

24/04/2026: On the right of the road leading to the Pino Tunnel, at the first bend, is the Bocciofila di Sassi. Shaded by some tall trees, which provide shade and coolness even on the hottest days, at the end, beyond the once-bustling bocce courts, lies this restaurant. The sign is barely visible from the road, but in the spacious dining room on the first floor of the building, Irene and Mary welcome you with classic Piedmontese specialties. The atmosphere is spartan but welcoming and clean, and the service is essential, fast, and friendly. Both lunchtime and evening meals are available: a first course, a second course with side dish, and dessert, all at relatively low prices. The quality and authenticity of the food reflects home-style cooking, simple and essential. I recently had the opportunity to appreciate this restaurant during a convivial dinner organized by the Turin branch of the National Association of the Granatieri di Sardegna. It's easy to find parking on the main road, but it's a little harder to climb the external stairs that lead to the premises.

18/04/2026: Old world restaurant, nice welcome, good service. They only speak Italian, which is not a criticism, just be prepared to translate menu with your phone. The 3 courses were excellent, only criticism is that there was no vegetables in three dishes, all meat based. Really nice people.
