24/02/2026: Unfortunately I can't comment on the restaurant because I've never tried it, I go there only and specifically for the coffee, I even go out of my way to go there because they are so kind and professional that it's a real pleasure in addition to the fact that my "foamed" glass is truly the best!

15/11/2025: ⭐ Il Vecchio Macello ⭐ A welcoming, well-kept restaurant with a truly unique open kitchen. The dishes are tasty and beautifully presented, using fresh, carefully selected ingredients. Don't miss the chef's zabaglione, which is not on the menu: served with apples, cinnamon, and crumble, it's a dessert that wins you over at first bite. Adjacent to the dining room is a small wine cellar with special wines and spirits; even if you're not a connoisseur like me, you'll be expertly guided in your selection! Antonio creates delicious recipes and is always super-responsible. He manages the kitchen and dining room with great professionalism and a careful eye for each guest. An experience worth repeating. 🍷✨

It's crucial during your lunch break not to waste too much time eating, unfortunately, so thank you guys!

08/03/2026: This wonderful and cosy restaurant is the best place to be during your stay in Bardonecchia! Located on pian de sole it is a lovely spot to enjoy the sun, a nice drink and a fantastic lunch. The owners are hard working and wonderful people who are so hospitable and so kind to all their guests. We took lunch their 4 times this year and everytime it was absolutely great! We recommend this place very much and hope to come next year as well!!

08/03/2026: Without a doubt, the best refuge in the area. Excellent food and adequate portions. Various selection, truly friendly service. Excellent value for money. Aside from the wonderful skiing, we'll miss stopping at La Grangia on our way back from our ski trip!

23/11/2025: Nothing to complain about the friendly service. The atmosphere is a bit dated but welcoming. I had the Alba steak, but it was a thick, woody cut of meat. My husband's fries tasted like they were second-rate (he had a hard time digesting them). The grilled vegetables were dry.

28/01/2026: I went into the pizzeria wanting to order three pizzas, and after half an hour of waiting, the waitress started yelling, telling me to wait to order, even though I'd been waiting a long time. Furthermore, after waiting almost an hour for the pizzas, they were undercooked, and one of them had the wrong toppings.

11/04/2026: It's been a while since I've been here. Calling it street food is an understatement, because you eat without cutlery and tableware, but if you want to sit down, you have a minimum spend. Something doesn't make sense, or is it street food (=street food I can grab on the go) and I'm fine with not having cutlery, but if I have to spend at least €10, the price is definitely not worth it. To eat arancini while sitting down, you have to order a minimum of €10 (no cutlery, no glasses, and no plates), and there are minimum spend limits for each menu page. I'm not someone who eats large quantities, and one arancini would be enough for me, but I was forced to order two pieces, leaving one crumpled on my plate; for logistical reasons, I couldn't take it away. Initially, you were a discovery, a welcoming place with excellent products at fair prices for a quick break. Today, it's definitely a place suitable for tourists, and since it was a regular stop during shopping days, we will no longer be your customers. The produce doesn't seem as fresh as it once did; the spinach and provolone crumpled pastry was dry and tasteless. What a shame!

10/04/2026: This place reminds us of the real Sicilian arancini. When our grandchildren come over, they ask us to have lunch there. Highly recommended!

21/09/2025: A surprising discovery!!! We stumbled upon it at the last minute and almost missed out on dinner... But thanks to the extremely kind staff, they found us a little spot for a quick pizza. Oh right.... The pizza!!! Really good: from the tomato sauce to the meatballs, the ingredients are top-notch. The desserts are just as good! If you're passing through, it's a must-see, but don't forget to book!

07/09/2025: Right now, for me, it's the best gelato shop in the area! 🍦 The gelato is always fresh, creamy, and comes in truly delicious flavors. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion that goes into making them. Every time I go, it's confirmed: it's hard to choose a favorite flavor because they're all excellent. Highly recommended!
