01/06/2025: Great meat and atmosphere, attentive service, Rebecca professional and very kind. Incredible shortcrust pastry, ok prices for what they offer. The IPA squisIPA special, I hope to return one day!

16/05/2025: Very well looked after place, attentive and friendly staff. We ate very well, as soon as we sat down they brought us an appetizer of dried sausage and multi-grain tarallo. We tried the double breaded chicken wings and they were perfect. The brothers burger with double 150g hamburger was the bomb! Even the generous ribs with chips included fell off the bone on their own. Craft beers of various choices and excellent. We will definitely be back to try the homemade desserts.

28/04/2025: Come da titolo. Trovato per caso grazie a TA (altrimenti non l’avrei mai scovato!) Sito in stabile abbastanza anonimo. Parcheggio esterno ok. Interni in stile osteria d’altri tempi. Accoglienza molto buona. Sala interna con circa 20 coperti /8 tavoli. Menù della tradizione locale (di terra) con qualche variabile di mare. Materia primo eccellente. Buona la presentazione dei piatti. Gusto al palato a volte sorprendente. Servizio da laude. Rapporto qualità prezzo corretto. Consiglio assolutamente.

23/04/2025: Con una coppia di amici milanesi ci siamo trovati a metà strada per pranzare in questo ristorante. Location classica e intima che propone piatti della tradizione vercellese molto ben eseguiti (come i particolari gnocchi di riso). Carta dei vini ben fornita. Servizio cortese e professionale.

02/06/2025: Nice pub, informal, with live music. Quite noisy even without music. Excellent beer, with a good selection, for all tastes. Good burger and burrito, but a few more sauces would have been nice. Friendly service and acceptable times despite the place being almost full. Bathroom in order. Fair prices.

13/03/2025: A place where I had a great pleasure to return to after the reopening, the Sant'Anna osteria in Pieve Vergonte. I already knew this truly beautiful tavern, a warm and friendly welcome, an atmosphere of stones, of times gone by, the typical environment of a house, cellars, Ossola barn. For those who know the famous Spanish specialty, I had the pleasure of eating a real and delicious paella, the best I've ever eaten in our region (I'm a paella connoisseur). The homemade chocolate salami was also delicious. So I really recommend this place, it's really worth it.

18/11/2024: Rispetto al passato (l’anno scorso) a nostro avviso c’è stato un notevole peggioramento. Il menù è praticamente sempre lo stesso, ma, non andandoci spesso, non è una nota particolarmente negativa. Quello che ci ha deluso è la preparazione dei cibi che è stata decisamente poco curata. La cipolla, per esempio, era di una qualità meno pregiata di quella che eravamo soliti trovare (seppure sia indicata come di “Cureggio”) era più piccola, cruda e mancava assolutamente di sapore soprattutto se paragonata alla precedente versione con la (necessaria) salsiccia alla quale eravamo abituati (il prezzo di 16 euro, nella versione proposta, è oltretutto eccessivo). Anche la calamarata era cruda e con un condimento (crema di broccoli, perché il resto era “non pervenuto”) “senza arte né parte”. I secondi invece ben fatti, ma non tali da potere recuperare la delusione. Forse è stata una “serata no” dello chef o magari quest’ultimo non era più lo stesso dell’anno scorso.

20/05/2025: Come da titolo. Locale storico in centro paese. Disponibili alcune salette interne in arredamento classico da trattoria di altri tempi. disponibile anche una veranda all’esterno in stile moderno. Accoglienza molto buona. Menù della tradizione locale dove ovviamente le carni ed i bolliti fanno la parte del leone. molto buona la materia prima, buona la qualità dei cibi. Molto buono il servizio anche molto professionale e simpatico. Prezzi nella media. Una buona esperienza. Forse il migliore provato in zona. Consiglio se vi piace il genere cucina tipica con buon rispetto della tradizione locale.

27/04/2025: I am a lover of boiled meat, I came specifically to celebrate my birthday from Lucca together with my wife. We had a wonderful time both in terms of welcome, professionalism and excellent food, the owner at the time of dessert offered us an excellent high quality sparkling wine and after paying the bill which was not at all expensive I had a bottle of Nebbiolo as a gift. I highly recommend it, it's worth the trip.

06/05/2025: Excellent tavern in the heart of the town, in the central Via Berthoud. Quiet environment, without too many frills, basic but welcoming. Very friendly staff and attentive to meeting our needs. I opted for some excellent ravioli with ragù and fassona stew (really a lot, perhaps too abundant if preceded by the first course), shame it wasn't accompanied by polenta otherwise it would have been the best. Price appropriate for how much we consumed.

04/05/2025: We returned to this tavern for the second time and were disappointed. I'll specify why: Cold environment, it is not pleasant to dine with a jacket and have the perception of a cold and humid environment, the stove had to be turned on, even though it was the start of the shift in the bathroom there was already no paper to dry your hands, extremely limited menu, even though I had called to ask for information they reassured me by telling me that there was no shortage of meat but that we certainly wouldn't find fish but instead already on the limited menu there were two fish dishes. In the side dishes there wasn't a plate of salad or fried or baked potatoes which are a banality found everywhere but rather sauerkraut and two other dishes which I don't remember what they were which in my opinion were already too specific and particular. The fish soup was full of pepper probably to hide a not particularly pleasant flavor (on the other hand in Serravalle it would be logical to eat meat which in fact I had asked for) cold cuts platter only with cooked and raw ham which was decent but not excellent. My sister-in-law had roast pork, it must have been a pound and a half of meat, there were 5-6 slices thick, little more than a salami sliced ​​with a slicer. We were not satisfied and we were very disappointed because it was supposed to be a convivial evening with the family but that wasn't the case. We are also very perplexed by recent reviews that have misled us. I hope this is useful to give rise to an accurate reflection

13/05/2025: I am back home in California remembering our visit from May 2024. I absolutely love Gavi and have been there twice in the past 3 years.We dined at Cantine Del Gavi celebrating my sons birthday and mothers day. It was such a memorable experience and I realized I forgot to do a review with all the traveling we did in Italy last year. The service was phenomenal, food was outstanding and perfect wine was recommended. The staff and experience provided made a lasting impression on my son his fiancé and I. What a gem in such a charming and beautiful village. It is a lovely and beautiful ristorante and the food incredible. Grazie to the staff for a lasting memory.
