26/09/2025: We passed by on July 23rd: we had booked a refuge, but along the trail a family recommended we stop here for the quality of the food. I can 100% confirm that the food is excellent: the tiramisu, in particular, is among the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Highly recommended! A place to return to not only for the food, but also for the scenery and the warm welcome from the owners.

07/08/2026: With some friends we tried most of the pizza places in Chiavenna and this one was the best! Also once we accidently forgot to reserve, but they didn't send away our group of 27 people and were able to accommodate us no problem. Very kind staff! But it is a popular place so you should reserve, you probably won't get as lucky as us

18/07/2026: Refugio Osteria Alpina is a truly special place. The family-run establishment is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is unique. Our room was absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic, newly renovated bathroom. The food was also a real highlight – incredibly delicious and noticeably freshly prepared. Yes, the hike there is very strenuous and sweaty, but it's definitely worth it! Anyone who appreciates nature and good food will love this place. Highly recommended!

20/06/2026: A special place, far from the hustle and bustle. The Osteria is truly unique due to its location and special ambiance. Delicious food. Please note: you can make the hike a loop and return via San Giorgio. However, this path is currently (week 24) very difficult to traverse due to a landslide. A head for heights and sure footing are essential. Not suitable for children!

05/05/2026: Good, well-prepared dishes. They also offer a variety of dishes that aren't typical of the area. My only complaint: my plate of "ravioli filled with ricotta and walnuts with pears" was missing the pears. There was only the slice of roasted pear you see in the photo, so the pear flavor was missing. The atmosphere is welcoming and very refined. It's a shame about the "market" selling handbags and various accessories around the column in front of the counter, which somewhat detracts from the overall atmosphere. Friendly staff. Prices are quite high. Main courses (€22-25) don't include side dishes, which must be ordered separately. Cover charge is €3.50. In high season, reservations are required for weekend dinners, as they're often full.

03/05/2026: I went to dinner with friends last night and was warmly welcomed by the wait staff. They were immediately available for any requests or information. They pay great attention to both the customer and the food. The first courses are exceptional, and don't miss the buttercream gelato with warm jam—it's a real treat. A definite stop on your next mountain trip!

14/12/2025: Atmosphere: The place is very welcoming and warm. The staff, very friendly and always available, also makes it unique. Service: The service is top-notch. As soon as you're seated, you'll be served a tray from which you can choose your favorite bread, accompanied by a small plate of flavored butter. Food: The food is purely traditional. I recommend the pizzoccheri, onion soup, sciat, and polenta and bresaola gnocchi. After your coffee, they always bring a small dessert (spuglie, chocolates). Price: The price is very much in line with the service and food. It's become a regular. We'll definitely be back.

26/03/2026: Absolutely delicious, one of the better restaurants in Livigno; I would definitely place them in the top 3. Service outstanding, especially regarding the wines; highly skilled, and the option to taste wines before making a choice. We will be back again!
