22/07/2026: The rooms are small and simply furnished, but clean. The service is very good and the food is really delicious 😋. The location is quite remote, but perfect for hiking. You can hike in many different directions from there.

06/07/2026: Excellent restaurant to eat at; we spent Saturday evening here. They were very accommodating, even offering us a quieter spot since we had our cat with us. The service was quick and attentive, with the staff being very friendly and empathetic. We met the chef and the rest of the staff, who came to see our cat; they were all kind and helpful. The dishes were well-prepared and plentiful. The prices were average for the place, and the unique, mountain-style setting is very beautiful and quaint, on a little road surrounded by greenery where it felt like eating in the woods (we were near the windows at the back). Definitely recommended if you're in the area. They're pet-friendly, as we saw a couple of tables with dogs besides us and our cat.

14/08/2026: What a surprising discovery! The staff were very helpful; we arrived just before closing time and were greeted warmly. The food was artisanal; we ate the typical Chiavenna Valley gnocchi and the buckwheat tart. But the real wonder of this place is the natural 8-9°C temperature, thanks to the crotti inside the restaurant, which they even gave us a tour of. Highly recommended, even more so!

29/07/2026: Just one word: "ASEPTIC," any requests are "NO." We were the first to arrive, and they immediately brought the delicious Schiat, then we watched the other tables pass by with appetizers and first courses, and finally our second courses arrived. Last time, they didn't make me pizzoccheri for just one person, at least two!

02/08/2026: I went here for dinner with my boyfriend on Saturday evening. We ordered an appetizer to share, two meat-based first courses, and a dessert, all excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

11/08/2026: We went for lunch today, and I have to say we had a really good meal. I'm writing this review primarily to thank the staff who take care of the service. Everyone was very helpful (we moved our table because the sun came out during lunchtime), the man from Mandello, and the owner's daughter...all people who face the busy August working hours with a smile. We'll definitely be back before the end of our holiday!!

They offer a wide selection of pizzas, both regular and gourmet, with delicious, fresh, and local ingredients. In addition to the pizzas, the menu of traditional dishes is also top-notch! All this combined with a beautiful and well-kept restaurant with an intimate and welcoming atmosphere! (If you go, try the French fries; they are AMAZING!) I WOULD GIVE EVEN MORE THAN 5 STARS, BUT THIS IS THE BEST! CONGRATULATIONS

09/08/2026: A wonderful discovery at the Cancano Lakes! The Baita Ristoro Solena enjoys a splendid location, immersed in the spectacular landscape of the Cancano Lakes. It's easily accessible by car, without any particular difficulty and without the need for permits, a definite convenience for those who want to enjoy this place without having to undertake long hikes. The atmosphere is traditional and very welcoming, perfectly integrated into the mountain setting. The cuisine is also excellent, with tasty and well-prepared dishes. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always attentive to their guests' needs. It's an ideal stop for cyclists and walkers who tour the lakes, but also for those who have difficulty walking or simply want to reach a beautiful mountain spot without having to walk too far. A place definitely worth a stop: beautiful location, excellent cuisine, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

09/07/2026: Excellent service from the Apulian woman and her boyfriend. Let's just say the prices are high, and for much less, you can eat much more traditional food at other restaurants in the area. A bit more touristy; let's say €120 for two for a fairly good meal is a lot compared to other restaurants where you get even more generous and more home-style dishes. The beef is €26 and it's a small slice, not mountain-style. It depends on what you're looking for, but I wouldn't go back.
