Osteria Alpina In Novate mezzola

Val Codera is fantastic, a welcoming refuge.

Refuge excellently managed by the volunteers of the Friends of Val Codera association. Great food and clean rooms. Lovely place. Worth coming back many times given the many parties and activities on offer.

For mountain lovers in the area of ​​Upper Lake Como and Valchiavenna, Val Codera is an unmissable reference. The village of Codera, perfectly set in this hydro-geological context, is worth visiting and an obligatory stop is for the Osteria Alpina and the nearby museum. To reach Codera, the circular route between Novate Mezzola and Verceia is very suggestive, obviously practicable in both directions. After leaving the car in the large car park on the side of the Codera stream, between Campo Mezzola and Novate Mezzola, you go up through Val Codera, initially skirting the stream on the right (the orographic left). After about 40 minutes of walking you reach Avedé, a small cluster of stone houses, halfway between Novate and Codera. Once you reach Codera and after the necessary refreshment stop, you cross the valley to return via the panoramic Tracciolino path and the descent towards Verceia, or, wanting to shorten the route, going down the steep path that from San Giorgio di Cola (identifiable along the Tracciolino) takes you back to the starting point. Opting to return from Verceia you then need to reach Novate Mezzola skirting the lake of the same name along the road.

We were hosted in a very welcoming neighboring house, the volunteers made us feel welcomed and conveyed their love for Codera to us. Recommended for those who want to experience a holiday that opens their hearts to a community that resists.

Un luogo che ti rimane impresso per come è vissuto e gestito

Posto bellissimo la gente e genuina tt e naturale..... Tecnologia poca qanto basta.... Luogo fatato da visitare anche il fondo Valle da vedere e ammirarne la bellezza della pineta dei sentieri rurali costruiti ancoracome una volta... Andate e fate il pieno di meravigliarsi posti da portare nel cuore ❣️

Cucina molto buona, tipica e di tradizione montara con prodotti locali (alcuni coltivati proprio a Codera). Se il tempo lo permette è possibile mangiare fuori e godere del sole e del panorama. Personale molto gentile e caloroso, prezzi adeguati.

Eccellente e sincera ospitalità di Elena, e dei volontari dell’Associazione Val Codera. Si’, come lèggevo in un’altra recensione prezzi più alti degli anni scorsi ma vorrei specificare che non è legato ai clienti stranieri (?!?!!!), ma al fatto che i prezzi sono aumentati ovunque ( anche al supermercato!) e che tutto il cibo, bevande etc.. vengono portate in elicottero. Peccato che quando si paga una birra in hotel sul lago 8 euro, dove le merci non arrivano in elicottero, si sta zitti, ma se in altura si paga 5 euro… qualcuno si lamenta! Stanze pulitissime, lenzuola profumate, cibo genuino, tanta gentilezza … insomma: bravissimi!

Ci son stato pochi giorni fa. Cibo buonissimo, ambiente all'aperto molto carino. Porzioni più che soddisfacenti. Personale molto alla mano.
