Refugio Osteria Alpina is a truly special place. The family-run establishment is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is unique. Our room was absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic, newly renovated bathroom. The food was also a real highlight – incredibly delicious and noticeably freshly prepared. Yes, the hike there is very strenuous and sweaty, but it's definitely worth it! Anyone who appreciates nature and good food will love this place. Highly recommended!

A special place, far from the hustle and bustle. The Osteria is truly unique due to its location and special ambiance. Delicious food. Please note: you can make the hike a loop and return via San Giorgio. However, this path is currently (week 24) very difficult to traverse due to a landslide. A head for heights and sure footing are essential. Not suitable for children!

More than just a stay, it was a human experience that I will cherish for a long time. In a fast-paced world, here I rediscovered the authentic value of people, shared stories, and time spent together. The staff has a rare ability: welcoming you as a guest and making you feel part of a small community. They naturally invite you to meet other travelers, to exchange stories and experiences, creating an atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find today. The cuisine is excellent: simple, sincere, and deeply rooted in the local area. The same goes for breakfast, which, while not overly elaborate, manages to express the best of the quality and authenticity of the products. The recently renovated rooms retain all the historic charm of the place, while offering comfort and attention to detail. But what makes this place truly special is the humanity of the people who run it. There's something profound, almost mystical, in the way they welcome, listen, and create authentic connections. You arrive as guests and leave feeling like you're leaving friends. A rare place, which speaks to the heart even before the eyes.

Delicious food and a cold beer after a two-hour hike from the lake. It's an incredible place, and the trail itself is steep in places but level, having been cultivated for centuries. It's a unique place with no road access; supplies arrive by helicopter or cargo cable car.

Delicious home-cooked mountain food and very pleasant company from the cook as she spoiled us with her culinary masterpieces.
