22/12/2024: Nulla da eccepire sulla qualità e bontà dei cibi proposti e a tal proposito do un 5 stelle. La cosa che mi ha perplesso è stato il sistema di pagamento, dove non ricevi la ricevuta al tavolo tramite il cameriere che è conscio di quello che hai consumato, ma vai direttamente in cassa. Al titolare ho riferito "per due persone" (io e mia moglie), scontrino €90 . Il Giorno dopo pensando al costo del pranzo e considerando che a me e mia moglie è stato versato nel calice un centimetro di bonarda e basta (non ne volevamo altro anche in considerazione del nuovo codice stradale) mentre ai rispettivi tavoli alla mia destra e sinistra sono volate alcune bottiglie per tavolo scolate interamente. Mi domando se al momento di pagare, i rispettivi hanno pagato il mio importo o un'altra cifra incluse le bottiglie, visto che i camerieri non potevano controllare il consumato in un salone con una sessantina di persone. A me non interessa se ho pagato uguale o in proporzione di più perché sono stato soddisfattissimo anche dal servizio offerto dai camerieri, ma è una questione di principio.

The location, although it has unfortunately shrunk a bit in recent months, is still very beautiful and welcoming. Healthy, special and good food. Congratulations, for me the best!

27/01/2025: Extremely high quality, kindness and courtesy are the "ingredients" that distinguish this wonderful bistro! Healthy dishes, with always fresh and high quality ingredients which undergo monthly and seasonal variations in the proposed menu, are accompanied by a service always with a smile and courtesy from the owner and employees. The desserts are amazing! It is also possible to purchase high-level niche products (preserves, pickles, beers).

21/03/2025: The location is a bit cramped with little parking but the service and what the restaurant offers is very good. They have a wide variety of foods, from fish to meat with even some puddles or calzones. There were two of us, we took 2 bottles of water, a deviled one, a fish omelette, a sliced ​​meat and we paid around €40

19/03/2025: I didn't feel at all comfortable, there was no one there, I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant, I sat down, after 2 minutes I got up to go and get my breakfast at the counter, I finished, I went out and said; "thank you good morning.... no answer... even if I'm not a regular customer because I don't live in Pavia, good manners and education always come first and for everyone.

05/11/2024: Impossibile dire di aver mangiato bene, possiamo tuttalpiù dire che si é mangiato, visto che non siamo stati male! Anche se, quando abbiamo visto il conto, rapportato al cibo consumato, ci é andato per traverso. Sconsigliatissimo! A mai più!

16/03/2025: Ristorante perfetto per scoprire i sapori del territorio, ottima carta dei vini. Clima informale, si respira un'atmosfera familiare dovuta anche ai diversi locali che frequentano quotidianamente il posto. Assolutamente consigliato.

09/03/2025: Siamo un gruppo di motociclisti e ci fermiamo spesso al Ristorante Italia quando passiamo da Montalto. Ottimi piatti e servizio sempre molto cortese. Consiglio i ravioli al brasato, ma tutti i piatti sono buonissimi. Torneremo sicuramente.

09/07/2024: mi sono recata in questa Locanda in occasione della sagra delle cipolle e rispetto al periodo pre covid è molto cambiata in peggio però. Menu fisso veramente esiguo con pietanze banali, bagno fatiscente e sporco per non parlare del cortile... Mi spiace siano peggiorati cosi

The choice is wide and creative, and the attention paid to selecting the ingredients is noticeable: each slice is rich and tasty, which makes each pizza truly tasty and satisfying. The prices are fair, in line with what is offered, and the portions are also generous. The only flaw that I have found more than once is the dough: sometimes it happens to arrive a little too soft or slightly raw in the center, especially with the more stuffed pizzas. Furthermore, delivery times are not always punctual: often there is a delay of up to 15-20 minutes compared to the expected time, which can be annoying if you are hungry or have planned dinner in a certain way. Overall, however, Il Mago remains one of the best pizzerias in the area: I will gladly return and recommend it, hoping that with some improvements in dough and punctuality it can easily deserve the 5 stars.

10/12/2024: A pizzeria - trattoria with a simple and friendly atmosphere, the dishes on the menu follow tradition but there are also more imaginative and unusual proposals, we were there for lunch and we chose the menu of the day, the portions were generous and well arranged, all very tasty: the tiramisu had something sublime! Fair prices and friendly staff. To be recommended!
