27/08/2025: The atmosphere is welcoming, and I really appreciated the restaurant's modest size. This not only allows you to enjoy the peace and quiet before dining on excellent dishes, but also to sneak a quick peek at the preparation, which is done almost in plain sight.

26/08/2025: What an amazing experience to have dinner at Glass Bistro run by Stefano! Not just the food, which is art, but mostly the pleasant ambiance that Stefano manages to create, you really feel like a guest in his kitchen and not just a client, which is quite unique nowadays. If you are in Pavia, do try it out, you will surely not regret! :) PS: if you are also passionate about water, this is the place to go ;)

05/08/2025: We dined, slept, and had breakfast at La cena di Pitagora Locanda Vegana - Restaurant with rooms in San Ponzo, a hamlet of Ponte Nizza (PV). We'd been there before and had a wonderful time again! The location is stunning; in the summer, you dine in the garden surrounded by greenery, and the atmosphere is special. The food is excellent, very unique, and carefully presented. The ingredients are seasonal, and much of it is homemade. The wines are local and vegan. The rooms (2) are cozy and very creatively furnished. The owners are very kind and helpful. Worth trying again and again!

13/07/2025: Autentico e ottimo. Viviamo tempi in cui è molto difficile pranzare bene senza spendere cifre elevate anche in località sperdute nel  nulla ed è una fortuna trovare un locale come questo in cui il personale è davvero molto gentile e disponibile e la proposta culinaria è ben eseguita e ad un prezzo molto onesto. Altro dettaglio da evidenziare è la pulizia dei servizi igienici che per solito rappresenta bene la qualità del locale. Come già scritto dai precedenti recensori il menu è predefinito e consiste di svariati antipasti ( ottime le polpette ed il cotechino ), un tris  di primi ( ottimo il risotto con la salsiccia ei tortelli al brasato ), tre secondi dii carne ( coniglio top e roast beef molto buono), sorbetto alla fragola, polenta con Zola o fichi o funghi o salsa alle castagne e per finire un dolce squisito. Locale che fortunatamente non strizza l'occhio ai social, cucina casalinga e ottima e nessun problema di digestione. Bravi Bravi Bravi

21/07/2025: A truly wonderful little place nestled in the Oltrepo hills, offering an exceptional view. We were greeted with such warmth by the owner, Mr. Pino, the soul of the place. The dishes were truly exceptional, with attention to every detail. I'm a vegetarian, and they prepared a delicious appetizer for me. The ravioli with Castelmagno cheese and truffle were also delicious. A restaurant I absolutely recommend!

01/08/2025: Every three months we have to come to Pavia and we can't miss dinner at the Osteria della Madonna. I don't think I need say anything else...

06/08/2025: While in Pavia (at the Policlinico San Matteo) for work, I discovered this place. I applaud the staff, as they are very fast, attentive, and kind. I ordered a set menu (1 first course + 1 second course with water and coffee) for €12. The price was very fair! And the food was worth it. I recommend it!! If I have the chance, I'll gladly return!

10/08/2025: Very welcoming place, made of stone with a fireplace, clean, super attentive and kind staff, excellent quality food, carefully prepared dishes, the meat is spectacular and cooked perfectly, fair prices, highly recommended.

22/08/2025: Service, Speed, Quality, Availability. Clearly a benchmark for specialty coffee in Pavia and the surrounding province. Coming here for coffee isn't just about drinking high-quality coffee; it's also about starting a journey for those who haven't yet tried quality coffee, or broadening their experience for those who have already tried, with the coffees changing almost weekly. Owner Francesco is also very thorough in his service, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to improve and listen to the customer. He also enjoys experimenting, and occasionally features prototype machines for extracting or grinding coffee. Espresso isn't the only option here, of course. The moka pot and iced latte are also worth trying. P.S. This isn't one of those purist "no sugar in my coffee" establishments.

22/08/2025: Undoubtedly the best coffee in Pavia. A different coffee is available practically every week, and it's not uncommon to find experimental extraction methods, like currently featuring a La Marzocco prototype. Owner Francesco is also very available to explain any aspect of extraction and the varieties of coffee he's currently using. A point of reference for Pavia and the surrounding area. The brioches are also excellent, filled fresh with a wonderful variety of creams and jams.

26/05/2025: First time at a home restaurant. Beautiful experience, friendly staff, family atmosphere. I recommend trying the risotto with apricot jam and the asparagus basket. 🔝

20/05/2025: I organized a dinner with friends in this wonderful home restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! Chef Odo and his partner Barbara pampered us from start to finish with delicious dishes and great hospitality. We chose the meat menu, but we will return soon to try the fish one too. Intimate atmosphere, excellent cuisine, impeccable hosts. Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: Very friendly and professional welcome, carefully prepared dishes that respect tradition. The braised beef ravioli and lean tortelli are excellent, and the wine selection is remarkable. Very fair prices. Recommended! I'll definitely be back.

10/08/2025: A stop to recharge the electric car with a teenager, a dog, and a baby. The chef prepared a refreshing salad and tomato pasta for us. And for the baby's meal, heated up, served in a dish with parmesan. A lovely detail. With two bottles of San Pellegrino for 13 euros... Unbeatable, thanks to them.

02/09/2025: An imposing entrance. The entrée was served in the estate's welcoming courtyard, a reminder of times gone by. Dinner was served in a setting with enormous barrels surrounding the beautifully decorated tables. A vintage carriage (I'm not sure)—with its large fireplace—enhances the spacious room, exuding a sense of well-being. On the hills bordering Piacenza, a fine estate, expertly managed. The food was authentic and flavorful, beautifully plated and served by capable, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The wine, white or red, was of a good standard and a symbol of the area. A well-organized and certainly satisfying banquet.

14/07/2025: Delicious food, super friendly waiters. Highly recommend. Best bottoni di patate (gnocchi) in a long time!

13/08/2025: Average place with a few small 'cca's in the service but overall acceptable

11/08/2025: We would have liked to praise the quality of the pizzas, but we were never served. When we arrived in front of the restaurant, we were asked to park elsewhere while the spots were then taken by other people. After 1 hour 20 minutes, the waiter came to ask us what we wanted for dessert while our dishes still hadn't been served. Mosquito repellent was brought to the other tables but we were ignored: we had to go and ask the waitress. When we called the waiter, he finally admitted to us after 1 hour 30 minutes that our order had been forgotten. So we left, paying only for our drinks but having to negotiate to avoid having to pay for the service and cutlery. In conclusion, no apology from the waiter or the establishment, and no goodwill gesture from them: non-Italians, unfortunately, move on.

26/07/2025: Best restaurant I've ever eaten at; spectacular dishes, fresh and delicious fish! Special service, Andrea and the owners are always present and kind! We feel at home. Beautiful location! From 1 to 100? I'd say 200!!! Highly recommended!! See you soon
