28/10/2025: Being a vegetarian or vegan in Italy is harder than it looks. Sure, pizza and pasta abounds, but where are the green veggies, the protein and the fibre ? They're here. A great little place, with pay by weight and paper dishes. Doesn't sound very exciting, but to go to a restaurant that has the home cooked tastes and styles, knowing that we could eat anything in front of us, was a delight. Super beer as well ! Great service and atmosphere, too. If you're looking for a vegan place in Milan, Alhambra is recommended.

22/09/2025: My boyfriend and I moseyed our way up the street for our anniversary dinner. Melara is an authentic Italian (specifically Malanese) restaurant on one of the main streets outside of the city. The Waitress that helped us was very kind and attentive and I must note that her English was very fluent! Upon arrival, we were seated promptly! We made a same-day reservation! It was just wonderful, a very romantic little spot, "hidden gem" we stayed for. I have to say around 2 hours right up until they closed. There was another young couple that came in near the end of our meal and they sat and had dessert. I could tell that they were local. The atmosphere was wonderful. Soft music and lighting made for a romantic evening. Oh and the food it was really great. We started off with bread and homemade butter, there were three flavors. One was strawberry. The other was saffron and the other was something else and all three were just delicious and creamy and dreamy. We had a cheese platter. Kind of thing. Almost like a charcuterie board but elevated. Jam figs and fried gnocchi!? Yum! Anyway, I don't want to bore you with too much information, so please see the photos for more details on the food. We left happy and full 🥰

03/10/2025: Found out through a platform (The ....) and the discount was welcome! The owner is kind and attentive, we ordered the two dishes in the photo, prepared with care, but perhaps there were some unsuitable mussels that spoiled their flavor a bit.

27/09/2025: Wonderful, the food was delicious, from the beginning to the end, everything fresh and delicious. The dessert was extra good, perfect for my taste buds, not too sugary 🤩 The music was very suitable for the restaurant, low noise, creating a charming atmosphere. 19/08/2025: My colleagues and I come to this place very often, both during lunch breaks and after work. The piadinas are excellent, especially the ones with the crispy dough, as are the beers, and the staff is always friendly and smiling. The prices are fair for the piadinas and the beer. If you're a large group, make a reservation because there's limited space, especially in the winter. They also serve aperitifs and sometimes have live music. Highly recommended.

05/08/2025: Wonderful dinner with friends in an elegant setting. The concept of the restaurant-shop is wonderful. The food was excellent, from the appetizers and exceptional cured meats to the dessert. Top service and a more than fair price. Highly recommended.
