We dined on a weekday evening (Thursday), so the place was very quiet, but I'm not from Milan, so I don't know what it's like on weekends.
Both the appetizer (polenta with gorgonzola cream) and the first courses (Barbera risotto and pappardelle with summer truffle) were well-balanced in their seasonings. Perhaps the pappardelle could have been cooked a minute longer. The risotto was very flavorful.
The tiramisu was a bit dry (not enough coffee), but the tart tatina was excellent, and I highly recommend it.
The coffee at the end of the meal was good (and that's not easy), served with a small amaretto.
I think the lady who served us could use more training in customer service and in her knowledge of the restaurant's dishes, because you realize it's better not to rely on her information to get more information about a dish on the menu. Other than that, I have no complaints about the service.

Dinner with friends, very good pizza, kind and friendly staff. The restaurant has old-fashioned decor, which I really like!

Excellent service, fresh and delicious food, and excellent wine. But what will remain most memorable are the hospitality and unforgettable experiences. The best restaurant in Milan!!!

A very good experience, reasonable prices, and delicious food. A great restaurant to try when traveling in Milan.
The Milanese fried steak I had was perhaps a little one-dimensional in flavor. If you're with two people, you could order more dishes to balance the taste.

"Alla cadrega" is a mid-range place, with good food, but prices are a bit high, above the city average, considering it's an osteria.
The appetizers were good, although the charcuterie board was a bit "unimpressive."
The mondeghili were expensive - €14.00 - considering they're just meatballs in sauce.
The two risottos and the braised beef with polenta were good.
The Milanese cutlet, on the other hand, was average - and definitely overpriced (€26.00).
The rating, for the food alone, would have been three and a half stars, but that was lowered to three also due to the obvious inconsistency in the price of the mineral water served; €4.00 for a 75 ml bottle (we had four, for a total of €16.00) is definitely too much.
It doesn't make much sense not to charge for the Covered by the customer, if that "post" is included in the bill, even if under another and different "item."
Final bill of €197.00 for 5 people (€39.40 per person), quite high, considering that desserts were not included (only two coffees).
Clean and welcoming place with fast and courteous service, but, given the above, I wouldn't return.

We asked our concierge for a traditional milanese places where locals eat and he pointed us here and it did not dissappint. The food was fantastic. The veal milanese and osso bucco with risotto were both worth coming back for time and time again. The place was filled with locals but it was a bit odd that the restaurant was locked and they had to buzz us in then locked us in while we ate. It was also odd that the server kept asking us if we wanted to give him a tip when he brought us the bill. Not sure if that was normal or if he was targeting us because we are American but over several months in Italy, not one other server or establishment asked for a tip. I asked the concierge when I got back to the hotel and he said it was highly unusual. Sad because it changed a wonderful meal into a weird experience and knocked a star off my review.
