07/11/2025: We stopped by Nilu’s Bar in Verena on a rainy afternoon when most of our planned restaurants were either closed or fully booked — and it turned out to be a great choice! To start, we ordered drinks — I had a tropical fruit punch and my husband had martini. Both were excellent. For lunch, we tried the bruschetta with mozzarella and a prawn sandwich, which were delicious, well-prepared, and nicely presented. For dessert, we went for a Nutella dark chocolate crepe, and honestly, it was the star of the meal — absolutely delightful! The restaurant setup was cozy and inviting, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant surprise and a lovely experience despite the rainy weather. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

29/10/2025: Great location. Tried it for an afternoon snack, with the sweet crepes. Plenty of choice, and the crepes were delicious and beautifully presented. Looking at the menu, it's worth noting that the cocktails are reasonably priced compared to other restaurants and bars nearby. I think it's a good place to have an aperitivo.

21/08/2025: Friendly staff, large selection of pizzas, fast service, delicious pizza, clean toilets. Everything was fine.

13/08/2025: A dinner that was nothing short of scandalous!

05/04/2026: The service was incredibly slow; the first course arrived two and a half hours after it started. The place is very nice, but that's about it.

11/03/2026: A lovely inn. After a lovely walk in the woods, we celebrated our birthday. We had a wonderful time, it felt like home.

22/03/2026: On the Internet it said it was open until 10pm, but at 7:30pm it was already closed.

14/12/2025: Traditional Rifugio with fine dining and a fireplace but with a star wine list; mostly French, and elevated cuisine. Always check or call ahead to ensure reservations, but it’s absolutely worth the trip just for the view. One of the few gastronomic gems in Lecco, and unique in character and quality. We always finish with gelato for two, freshly spun after ordered.

12/12/2025: If you are into Burgundy wines or Champagne, this is the right place for you!

23/12/2025: We had two first courses, pizzoccheri and tagliolini. The order was a bit confusing, but overall it was acceptable. The house wine and the atmosphere were homey. It's a great place to be.

15/12/2025: We had eaten there a few years ago and enjoyed it. This time we were not satisfied.

23/02/2026: The worst bar in Lecco. I hate to leave a bad review, but I can't help it. Rude staff, poor food, dirty bathrooms. Extremely high prices. It's almost like stealing! ⚠️ DO NOT COME TO WATCH FOOTBALL MATCHES HERE, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU €5 MORE PER PERSON ON THE BILL! I paid almost €10 for a Coke!!! At this point, I'd have been better off going to the stadium! 🇬🇧 Guys, don't go to this bar. Foos are disgusting, drinks are shit. The quality is very, very bad, and the prices are super expensive! And the bathroom is super dirty. Don't watch football matches here, they will force you to pay €5 more per person. I've paid almost €10 for a Coke. Crazy!

26/06/2025: A beautiful and charming location, with lots of greenery and a quiet area. We celebrated my son's first communion in May and had a great time. The food was good, cooked to perfection. None of our guests complained. The risotto was truly delicious, we even asked for seconds, and the roast suckling pig was more than worthy. Above all, the service was impeccable, attentive to all our needs: we requested customized menus, gluten-free, lactose-free, and pork-free, and they were satisfied. And at no extra charge! After lunch, we were able to relax in the garden, sitting on the sofas with some kindly offered liqueurs. In short... a successful first communion!! Thank you so much to all the staff!!

25/06/2025: A disappointing aperitif. The food was poor and of questionable quality; not recommended.

14/06/2025: Historic place in the center of Valmadrera, I used to come here as a kid for pizza parties with the soccer team. The management has changed but I am very pleased to see that the wood-fired oven has been maintained. We stopped for a quick lunch. Excellent service, friendly and not intrusive from the welcome to the end. Varied choice of appetizers, first and second courses of land, sea, a small vegetarian section and pizzas. I do not recommend it to those who are used to sophisticated and chic things. Simple place, family-run, with tasty dishes. I will return to try the pizza.

31/05/2025: Got scammed by this restaurant. Tells me they don’t accept card then doesn’t give me the correct change.

08/03/2026: I returned to this osteria without knowing it had changed management, and it was an excellent choice. A modest menu that strives for excellence, not excess. The lardo and tartare appetizers are excellent. The dessert with vino santo is a real treat! A must-try for a romantic evening or a night out with friends.

07/03/2026: After a long walk, a friend and I decided to have a Florentine steak. There was room, so we went to Olga's Osteria. The atmosphere is always lovely, rather homey, and the welcome is excellent. A Florentine steak for two—I don't know how much—was plentiful, but not excessive. A portion of turnip greens for two, three glasses of Nebbiolo, two desserts for €6 each. And to finish, two bottles of water and two coffees. Everything was good and well-served. However... ..... Total €160

30/04/2025: On a trip from Milan to Varenna, we had a pleasant lunch, savoring the local flavors. A shared mixed antipasto (more than enough for two), two very generous Borgovino tagliatelle (unique), two glasses of wine, water, and coffee. 80 euros. Tastes I'm not used to, but truly surprising. Generous portions for the price, and excellent, welcoming, and friendly service.

18/04/2025: Delicious, freshly cooked food in homely atmosphere in a place of too many tourist restaurants. Authentic!

16/04/2026: The setting is magnificent, but the service and welcome were incredibly cold... you feel like you're intruding, they speak very rudely, very little respect... The waiter came to take my order and then suddenly stopped listening to me; I felt completely ignored. It's a real shame in such a beautiful setting. The pistachio croissant was very good, and the granola too. Avoid stopping here; there are other places that are much more worthwhile.

15/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! The welcome and service were mediocre. The food was served cold, the waiter came back with the same plate and practically threw it at us, and to top it off, there was less of it (which we tasted to realize it was cold). It must have been reheated in the microwave! However, the cocktail and glass of wine were good, and above all, the incredible view saved our experience!

17/04/2026: 0 stars if I could,avoid at all costs!! Food was terrible 20euros for Veal with no sides which was tough and looked like tough pork pizza was meant to be smoked salmon(not sure it was)very dry and tasteless,so with a drink each bill was 60euros for vile food and lot of which was left but nobody checked if we were happy with it even when they took away the plates.much nicer places around big mistake we made and wasted our money!!

21/02/2026: From what I have seen and compared with other places, it was one of the best. The room was a little uncomfortable, the service was excellent, the owners were exquisite, very friendly and competent, the location was a little limited, but as a 3-star hotel for a business stay, I can say that for me it was one of the best.
