07/09/2025: Unfortunately, the lunch was very poor. The pesto pasta was awful and rancid. The grilled pork loin was overcooked and the bread was stale. I'm sorry, the place has a beautiful history, but this lunch was a total disappointment.

24/11/2025: We had dinner here over a month ago, as a couple, extremely attracted by the truly captivating setting on the Adda River. Unfortunately, the risotto was too salty and we had to leave it half-eaten. The appetizer was also certainly not of high quality, both in terms of taste and excessive saltiness. Last but not least...karaoke night...a Paolo Conte song came to mind: Via via, vieni via di qui... The service and location deserve applause, however.

22/11/2025: Dinner in the freezing cold, with the door permanently left open (by the staff coming and going), the air conditioning not working, and my plate being taken away while I was outside smoking... What can I say? The first pizzas offered for the pizza tour that I managed to eat (Neapolitan, Margherita, and Margherita with ham) were decent, albeit undercooked. I really don't think I'll be back.

21/11/2025: Very quaint place. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Must try. Recommended.

09/11/2025: Food for 'tourists'. The meat was brought uncooked. Too crowded. Extremely slow service. On the other hand, it's the only place closest to the chestnut picking area.

07/09/2025: A good lunch. The prices are perhaps a little high for a place above Lecco, but the quality is truly excellent. I'd probably add a few more starters to choose from, but that's probably the philosophy of the place.

24/08/2025: I didn't like the location. The view isn't great. The €4 cover charge isn't justified. The menu only offers a few pizzas (which are expensive, going up to €35). They don't do first courses, only second courses. My pizza was pretty burned. I wouldn't go back.

24/11/2025: A dinner to forget. We arrived at 8:00 PM, appetizers were served at 9:30 PM (mostly cold cuts), and the main course at 10:30 PM. The quality of the ingredients in the dishes was poor, and the bill was incredibly high. Not recommended!

22/11/2025: Never again! Interminable wait times: an hour for appetizers. The main courses arrived after two hours. The bill was incredibly high for what we ate. Forget it.

27/10/2025: The polenta with rabbit is delicious, as are the ribs and the casseula. The cakes are also excellent, especially the pear, apple, and walnut one. Home-style cooking, reasonable prices.

04/09/2025: We had lunch outdoors, among bleating ducks, chicks, chickens, and sheep. The food is authentic, the polenta fantastic, and the atmosphere simply authentic.

08/08/2025: I'm very sorry to leave this negative review, which is certainly related to the girl at the bar, because it wasn't my first time there. First of all, the bar wasn't full, but I think the bartender wasn't very keen on working. I was at a table, and she completely ignored me, serving people who had arrived after me at the counter. I had to get up, order, and serve myself. I was even polite and cleared the table. I paid, and she didn't even give me a receipt. The worst thing is that I ordered a soy cappuccino and felt bad because the lady must have used cow's milk. Well done! I hope she's just an employee.

23/10/2025: Don't go there for anything in the world, I don't care about the view if you eat disgustingly and pay like a medium-high range restaurant, the three of us spent 120 euros and 2 didn't get a dish, otherwise it would have been 140-150 euros, but we're crazy, stop at the agritourisms down there because otherwise you'll regret it for the rest of your life

12/10/2025: Ristobar is the right definition, nice and informal for a not-too-pretentious aperitif. The overall service could be improved a bit with some adjustments that would increase customer satisfaction. The choice between not-so-extensive platters and off-menu dishes with somewhat modest portions and on paper plates. Otherwise, the view is definitely beautiful and the staff is fast and courteous. Suitable for couples or groups without too many expectations.

10/12/2025: We celebrated my husband's retirement and birthday at Agorà. Everything was impeccable. Raffaella advised us on the menu and the table layout to entertain our guests. A big round of applause goes to the staff, especially Gianni, the waiter, who supported and put up with us the entire time. He was professional, friendly, and always on point. Our family fell in love with this place and we'll definitely be back. My brother-in-law has his eye on the Garden for a summer barbecue.

27/11/2025: Nice place, we stopped for an aperitif. Mediocre drinks (watered-down Spritz and Sbagliato with too much martini rosso), the platter and chips arrived 5 minutes after the drinks. There's plenty of room for improvement...

26/06/2025: Very beautiful and suggestive location, lots of greenery and a quiet area. We celebrated my son's communion in May and we had a great time. The food was good, cooked to perfection. None of the guests complained. The risotto was truly exquisite, we even asked for seconds, and the roast suckling pig was more than decent. Above all, the service was impeccable, attentive to all our needs: we asked for personalized menus, gluten-free, lactose-free, pork-free and we were satisfied. And without extra charge! After lunch we were able to relax in the garden, sitting on the sofas with some kindly offered bitters. In short... a successful communion!! Thanks so much to all the staff!!

15/11/2025: Did not eat here but was a great spot for Aperitivo, the views are outstanding! They also had a fun drink selection.

13/11/2025: Beautiful view, I went around 3pm and got a table by the lake. I had a prosciutto e funghi pinsa (13€), spaghetti pomodoro (12.5€) and two colas (4.6€ each). There is no cover charge like in other restaurants, but the food was not delicious. The spaghetti sauce was the same as the one on the pinsa, absolutely nothing special, they were not tasty. Nothing to complain about the service.

03/08/2025: BAD management. No comment about the food simply because, despite the email confirmation of our reservation #279023623695 for Sunday, August 3, at 1:00 PM, the restaurant was closed! The girl managing the lido bar apologized and offered us a pizza or some other simple dish there. The worst part was that at 1:27 PM I received an email from Quandoo (the website that handles reservations) with the following content: They informed us that you didn't show up. The website says it's open, so I tried calling for more information, but no response. I won't add anything else! Disappointed and angry, we went looking for a restaurant nearby. And luckily, we found a beautiful place right on the lakeside. COVO NORD OVEST Piazza Garibaldi 24 23864 Malgrate (LC) Nice, good service/food, and good value.

19/06/2025: Terrible experience in the company of 12 people for a birthday party. The only one who didn't get food was me. At 11.30pm the pizza arrived after the other 11 people at the table had finished dinner. I'd say I won't be returning.

30/04/2025: On a trip from Milan to Varenna, we had a pleasant lunch, savoring the local flavors. A shared mixed antipasto (more than enough for two), two very generous Borgovino tagliatelle (unique), two glasses of wine, water, and coffee. 80 euros. Tastes I'm not used to, but truly surprising. Generous portions for the price, and excellent, welcoming, and friendly service.

18/04/2025: Delicious, freshly cooked food in homely atmosphere in a place of too many tourist restaurants. Authentic!
