06/06/2025: We had a very unpleasant experience today. After placing a food order, we waited 35 minutes with no updates. I went to the bar to check, only to be told—without any prior notice—that there was a kitchen issue and our food hadn’t even been started. We waited another 15 minutes, but had to leave to catch a bus. I explained the situation to the bartender, but he insisted we wait longer and initially refused to issue a refund. We had to argue just to get a partial refund. Absolutely unacceptable. The lack of communication, poor service, and refusal to take responsibility make this place feel like a scam. Avoid it at all costs.

06/06/2025: Don't try to eat there because you won't get served at all. Problem with a kitchen and no apologies. Rude and unpleasant. Bad experience. There are better places in Varenna with much nicer staff and food which you can eat.

18/05/2025: The 8 cereal puff pastry is excellent, light and digestible! Reasonable price. Davide's kindness and the proximity to the lake do the rest.

11/05/2025: The best piadina shop in Lecco without a doubt! Excellent dough, well filled, excellent value for money. The environment is small but very welcoming and the service is quick but attentive. For me the best piadina I've ever tried

17/06/2025: Stopped in Caffe Gianola for a drink whilst visiting Lecco. Tried a ‘ Caffe Cima ‘ which was delicious ! Coffee at the bottom, Minty frothy creamy milk sits over that and lots of chocolate sprinkles to top it off. Pleasant location & friendly staff.

26/06/2025: Very beautiful and suggestive location, lots of greenery and a quiet area. We celebrated my son's communion in May and we had a great time. The food was good, cooked to perfection. None of the guests complained. The risotto was truly exquisite, we even asked for seconds, and the roast suckling pig was more than decent. Above all, the service was impeccable, attentive to all our needs: we asked for personalized menus, gluten-free, lactose-free, pork-free and we were satisfied. And without extra charge! After lunch we were able to relax in the garden, sitting on the sofas with some kindly offered bitters. In short... a successful communion!! Thanks so much to all the staff!!

23/01/2025: I often go with my best friend for breakfast on weekend mornings. Spacious and welcoming room. The waiters are very nice and friendly. We really enjoy it here when we manage to drop by, because it's a lovely, pleasant little place. Our usual breakfast, consisting of cappuccino and delicious Nutella and pistachio brioches (biscuit included), has become our little morning treat. What can I say, we have now become loyal customers. I recommend it! We will see each other soon!

04/06/2025: We had an aperitif where they brought us a small plate of overcooked pasta with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and scamorza. Stop. Nothing else. When we asked for some chips, two olives, they told us that they were about to close and the kitchen was closed? Close? At 7:30 pm? Aperitif time? Are we serious? The only positive note was the kindness of the waiter who served us.

05/06/2025: Varenna Food is a great place to drop in for coffee and pastry in the morning. They also do an excellent yoghurt, granola and fruit bowl.

04/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in famiglia durante una gita che dire,pizza buona e piatto di pasta al ragù abbondante e discreto,bella la vista sul lago. Nota negativa il tavolo era un po' piccolo per 4 persone bastava unirne 2,buon rapporto qualità prezzo per un pranzo veloce sul lago

22/03/2025: Das Restaurant befindet sich super gelegen direkt am See. Alle waren mehr wie zufrieden mit dem Restaurant, der schnellen und freundlichen Bedienung und sicherlich mit dem Essen. Der Holzofen für Pizza ist geil. Die Pizzen allerdings auch. Man sollte in der Saison allerdings vorbestellen. Das gilt ja für alle guten Restaurants. Sehr empfehlenswert für Familien mit Kindern.

07/05/2025: Locale molto carino, arredato stile industrial ma molto ‘caldo’. Menu’ vario. Pietanze buone e servite in tempi molto brevi. I camerieri davvero carini e solerti. Da provare!
