15/12/2024: Indicated by opening hours from midday to midnight (Sunday). We arrive at 2pm and ask (even though the time didn't indicate the kitchen was closed) if it was possible to grab a bite to eat. They tell us yes and let us sit. After 10/15 minutes (we had already made our choices) the same waiter returns saying that only the pizzas were feasible due to the closure of the remaining kitchen. This may indicate both an extreme superficiality in treating the customer and a lack of craftsmanship of the pizzas (pre-cooked bases on which to put ingredients that have already been ready for who knows how long ago) It's a shame because the location deserves better management Never again

28/11/2024: Excellent work menu for lunch! Quiet environment, lake view and the new chef is really good... Very homely but tasty and light cuisine. Not comparable to the canteen dishes generally served in Lecco for lunch!

30/08/2024: The only refreshment point in the small town of Morterone, it deserves full marks from every point of view. Welcoming like the village trattorias of the past, it enjoys a beautiful location. We ate under a portico welcomed by 2 very kind ladies. We chose a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, very good and abundant products. And finally 2 plates of buckwheat tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and bresaola. These are also excellent and plentiful! Water, a quarter of red wine and finally coffee! Very honest account, €46.70. Taking into account that to get to Morterone you have to travel around 17 km of hairpin bends on a road that is not exactly easy, I would have imagined a bill adequate for the difficulty of supply but this was not the case. Well done! We will definitely return because the place deserves it!

30/08/2024: I'm back on my motorbike after years in this little village. The road is a bit challenging but panoramic. Friendly and welcoming service, excellent cured meats, buckwheat tagliolini with delicious bresaola and porcini mushrooms, generous rations. trattoria that enjoys a location, tranquility and coolness, ideal for a perfectly relaxing lunch...

30/08/2024: Was on two weeks vacation to Italy and this was the worst hotel experience. Paid €600+ for a lake view room but got a view where I had to look out the window and look to the left. The room was small and the floor of the bathroom didn’t meet the main room. It was hazardous and I tripped multiple times (especially middle of the night). There was a wedding going on. So we were blocked off using several facilities including the bar and didn’t get to enjoy the view we paid for. We were told to go to the sister hotel. But that’s an inconvenience and not the same experience. And then the wedding party. It was so loud. I had to call the front desk and complain. Yet it continued through the middle of the night with loud band music. This is not a good experience at all for the money I’ve spent for one night. I regret this and will not recommend staying at this place. You rather stay somewhere else and just come see the garden they have for €20.

22/07/2024: Very good food. The quantity in the dishes is very low. Zero competence of the waiters. The wait for the first first course was absurd (more than 1 hour) and then it arrived with a paltry quantity (saffron rice). Excellent meat, good cooking and quality. The ridiculous side dish, three slices of grilled courgettes, half a centimeter of pepper (which one would have done before not adding) and a slice of aubergine (for the price of the vegetables in question it could have been done much better). The cost of grilled vegetables is €5. Outdoor seats under a gazebo, overall nice, but full of mosquitoes without even a mosquito net or a measure. So much wasted potential. This is not an insult but simply constructive criticism.

23/10/2024: Soggiornato una notte per lavoro. Hotel a 3 stelle un po’ datato ma in sostanza carino. Letto un po’ scomodo ma per il resto ambiente molto tranquillo e camera singola spaziosa. Inoltre abbiamo anche cenato molto bene e pure la colazione è stata molto gradita!

25/11/2023: Sicuramente la cucina è degna di nota…alcuni piatti emergono su altri ma nessuno negativo…il servizio è cordiale e accorto…la maîtresse è sola e si deve occupare sia del consiglio del vino, che dell’accoglienza, che del servizio e spiegazioni piatti in sala. Il mio modesto consiglio da esperto del settore è di inserire una persona esperta di vino che possa aiutare la maîtresse durante la serata soprattutto quando il ristorante è pieno, visto la qualità e le aspettative richieste. Carta vino sicuramente da rivedere perché non in linea con la qualità del locale e della cucina. Chi ama il vino come me si aspetta in questa tipologia di ristoranti gourmet di ritrovare etichette ricercate e anche qualche vecchia annata e non solo poche bottiglie e commerciali. Aiuterebbe la voglia di ritornarci. Lascio comunque 5 stelle perché la serata è stata molto gradevole e non mi piace denigrare chi si impegna nel nostro settore.

29/07/2024: I finally got to the review. In April we celebrated our wedding in this wonderful place! I was pregnant so I thought I wouldn't be able to eat many things, but with an immense pleasure I discovered that the menu proposed by the house could feed the whole of Lombardy 😅. They offered us a menu that they usually use for ceremonies and it was the TOP!!! Very kind waiters, delicious food that satisfies the tastes of the most capricious and then the spaces. I was enchanted and in love. Several times I went outside and walked, I looked at the nature around me. When I got the bill, I thought: why is it so little? Truly extraordinary! Thank you so much, I have now given birth but you were the place where our family was officially born and you organized the celebration of love for us❤️

17/07/2024: I attended 3 training meetings on behalf of my company, they served me 3 different and carefully prepared vegan menus. The place is very beautiful, recommended for a moment of relaxation away from the chaos of the city!

07/10/2024: In passato si mangiava bene. E la terrazza è la più bella di Varenna. Ora, non accettano prenotazioni e propongono un meno fisso male assortito. Risultato: alle ore 13 il ristorante era vuoto e in paese era invece difficile trovare posto.

30/09/2024: E' un piccolo ristorante con una interessante terrazza affacciata sul lago, dove si riesce a pranzare tranquilli. Menu' fisso di 3 portate, il primo (pasta alla carbonara) da migliorare (troppo uovo, molto "turistico"). Prezzi un po' alti, soprattutto per il vino, ma nel complesso nella media. Servizio premuroso e gentile.

01/12/2024: Este restaurante que tiene una vista panorámica del lago y las montañas ofrece una experiencia increíble para la paleta. Con un gran servicio y atención al detalle del chef y los camareros. Incluso ofrecen una reducción en el precio, al elegir una comida de 3 platos. Un comienzo perfecto para nuestras vacaciones en el Lago de Como.

16/11/2024: Combinazione di gusti ottima. Vista spettacolare sul lago. Prezzo leggermente altino ma passa in secondo piano di fronte a questa esperienza culinaria. Consigliato !

13/07/2024: Davvero buonissimo! Materia prima di qualità, piatti tradizionali cucinati bene e abbondanti. Consigliato! Da non perdere i taglieri di salumi e formaggi.

03/06/2024: Bellissima scoperta in quel di Lecco. Antica osteria che offre salumi e formaggi locali di alta qualita'. Ho apprezzato molto anche il dolce. Assolutamente da provare! In questo locale si puo' pagare con TheFork PAY utilizzando le Gift Card e si possono spendere i punti YUMS.

25/10/2024: Sunday afternoon around 5pm; there were four of us and we asked if it was possible to have an aperitif. The answer was positive but, in addition to drinking, we received taralli and olives.... Update after manager's response; which we thank I'm sorry to note that, sometimes, everything arises from misunderstandings. We certainly weren't asking for a more abundant aperitif at the same price. In fact, we think the price is more than reasonable but we would have liked something in addition; obviously paying. We will come back and be clearer.😊

18/10/2024: Simple but very welcoming hotel with wonderfully friendly owners...Cleanliness reigns...Simple but comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. Very good food and with three choices of both first - second and dessert. I recommend it for beautiful walks in Introbio and nearby towns.... congratulations, keep it up.... see you soon
